எருசலேமுக்குள் இயேசு நுழைதல்
(மத்தேயு 21:1-11; லூக்கா 19:28-40; யோவான் 12:12-19)
11 இயேசுவும் அவரது சீஷர்களும் எருசலேமை அடைந்தனர். அவர்கள் ஒலிவமலையில் உள்ள பெத்பகே, பெத்தானியா என்னும் நகரங்களுக்கு அருகில் வந்தனர். அங்கே இயேசு இரண்டு சீஷர்களை அனுப்பிச் சிலவற்றைச் செய்யச் சொன்னார். 2 இயேசு, “நீங்கள் பார்க்கிற எதிரேயுள்ள ஊருக்குள் செல்லுங்கள். உள்ளே நுழைந்ததும் ஓர் இளம் கழுதை கட்டப்பட்டிருப்பதைக் காண்பீர்கள். இதுவரை எவராலும் சவாரி செய்யப்படாத கழுதை அது. அதை அவிழ்த்து இங்கே கொண்டு வாருங்கள். 3 யாராவது உங்களிடம் எதற்காக இதனைக் கொண்டு போகிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டால் அவர்களிடம், ‘ஆண்டவருக்கு இது தேவைப்படுகிறது. அவர் இதனை விரைவில் திருப்பி அனுப்புவார் என்று சொல்லுங்கள்’” என்றார்.
4 சீஷர்கள் நகரத்துக்குள் நுழைந்தனர். ஒரு வீட்டுக்கு வெளியே சாலை ஓரத்தில் ஓர் இளம் கழுதை கட்டி வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. சீஷர்கள் அதனை அவிழ்த்தார்கள். 5 அங்கு நின்றுகொண்டிருந்த சிலர் இதனைப் பார்த்தனர். “என்ன செய்கிறீர்கள்? ஏன் கழுதையை அவிழ்க்கிறீர்கள்?” என்று கேட்டனர். 6 இயேசு சொன்னபடி அவர்கள் பதில் சொன்னார்கள். அவர்கள் கழுதையை அழைத்துச் செல்ல அனுமதித்தனர்.
7 சீஷர்கள் கழுதையை இயேசுவிடம் கொண்டு வந்தனர். அவரது சீஷர்கள் தம் மேலாடைகளை கழுதையின் மேல் விரித்தனர். இயேசு அதன் மேல் உட்கார்ந்தார். 8 ஏராளமான மக்கள் தம் மேலாடைகளைச் சாலையில் விரித்து இயேசுவை வரவேற்றனர். இன்னும் சிலர் மரக்கிளைகளை வெட்டி அவற்றைச் சாலையில் பரப்பினர். 9 சிலர் இயேசுவிற்கு முன்னால் நடந்து சென்றனர். சிலர் இயேசுவிற்குப் பின்னால் சென்றனர்.
“அவரைப் புகழுங்கள்
‘கர்த்தரின் பெயரால் வருகிறவர் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்’(A)
10 தமது தந்தையான தாவீதின் இராஜ்யம் தேவனால் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவதாக.
அந்த இராஜ்யம் வந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறது.
பரலோகத்தில் உள்ள தேவனைப் போற்றுவோம்”
என்று அவர்கள் சத்தமிட்டனர்.
11 எருசலேமுக்குள் சென்று அங்குள்ள தேவாலயத்திற்குள் இயேசு நுழைந்தார். தேவாலயத்தில் எல்லாவற்றையும் இயேசு பார்த்தார். ஆனால் ஏற்கெனவே நேரமாகிவிட்டிருந்தது. ஆகையால் இயேசு அங்கிருந்து பெத்தானியாவுக்கு தன் பன்னிரண்டு சீஷர்களோடு சென்றார்.
அத்திமரம் பட்டுப்போவதை இயேசு அறிவித்தல்
(மத்தேயு 21:18-19)
12 மறுநாள், அவர்கள் பெத்தானியாவை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டனர். அவருக்குப் பசித்தது. 13 இயேசு இலைகள் நிறைந்த அத்தி மரம் ஒன்றைப் பார்த்தார். அவர் அதனருகில் சென்று ஏதேனும் பழங்கள் உள்ளனவா என்று கவனித்தார். அதில் பழங்கள் ஏதுமில்லை. வெறும் இலைகளே இருந்தன. அது கனி கொடுப்பதற்கு உரிய சரியான காலம் இல்லை. 14 ஆகையால் இயேசு அத்தி மரத்திடம், “இனி மக்கள் யாரும் உன்னிடமிருந்து ஒரு போதும் பழத்தைத் தின்னமாட்டார்கள்” என்றார். இயேசு சொன்னதை சீஷர்களும் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தனர்.
தேவாலயத்தில் இயேசு

15 அவர்கள் எருசலேமை அடைந்தனர். அவர் தேவாலயத்திற்குள் நுழைந்தார். அங்கே பொருள்களை விற்றுக்கொண்டும், வாங்கிக்கொண்டும் இருந்த மக்களை இயேசு விரட்டினார். பலவித பணங்களை மாற்றிக் கொடுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்களின் பலகைகளைத் தலைகீழாகக் கவிழ்த்துப் போட்டார். புறாக்கள் வைத்திருந்த பலகைகளையும் அப்புறப்படுத்தினார். 16 ஒருவரையும் தேவாலயத்தின் வழியே பொருள்களை எடுத்துச் செல்ல இயேசு அனுமதிக்க மறுத்தார். 17 பிறகு இயேசு மக்களுக்குப் போதனை செய்ய ஆரம்பித்தார். “‘எனது வீடு எல்லா மக்களின் பிரார்த்தனைக்கான வீடு என அழைக்கப்படும்’ என்று எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.(B) ஆனால் நீங்கள் தேவனின் வீட்டைத் ‘திருடர்கள் ஒளியும் இடமாக’ மாற்றுகிறீர்கள்”(C) என்றார்.
18 தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களும், வேதபாரகர்களும் இவற்றைக் கேட்டனர். அவர்கள் இயேசுவைக் கொல்வதற்கு வழிதேடினர். மக்கள் அனைவரும் இயேசுவின் போதனைகளைக் கேட்டு வியப்பதை அறிந்து அவர்கள் அச்சப்பட்டனர். 19 அன்று இரவு இயேசுவும், அவரது சீஷர்களும் அந்நகரத்தை விட்டு வெளியேறினர்.
விசுவாசத்தின் வல்லமை

20 மறுநாள் காலையில் இயேசு தனது சீஷர்களோடு நடந்துகொண்டிருந்தார். முந்தின நாள் இயேசு சபித்த அத்தி மரத்தை அவர்கள் பார்த்தனர். அம்மரம் செத்து, காய்ந்து, வேரும் உலர்ந்துபோய் இருந்தது. 21 பேதுரு அம்மரத்தைப்பற்றி நினைவுகூர்ந்து இயேசுவிடம், “போதகரே! பாருங்கள். நேற்று இம்மரம் பட்டுப்போகுமாறு சொன்னீர்கள். இன்று இது உலர்ந்து இறந்துவிட்டது” என்றான்.
22 அதற்கு இயேசு, “தேவனிடம் விசுவாசம் வைத்திருங்கள். 23 நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைக் கூறுகிறேன். ‘மலையே போ, போய்க் கடலில் விழு!’ என்று உங்களால் மலைக்கு ஆணையிட முடியும். உங்கள் மனதில் சந்தேகம் இல்லாதிருந்தால், நீங்கள் சொல்வது நடக்கும் என்கிற விசுவாசம் உங்களுக்கு இருக்குமானால், தேவன் உங்களுக்காக அவற்றைச் செய்வார். 24 ஆகையால் உங்கள் பிரார்த்தனையின்போது தேவனிடம் காரியங்களைக் கேளுங்கள். அவற்றைக் கிடைக்கப்பெற்றோம் என்று நீங்கள் நம்பினால் அவை உங்களுக்கு உரியதாகும். 25 நீங்கள் பிரார்த்தனை செய்யும்போது, ஏதாவது ஒன்றைக்குறித்து நீங்கள் யாரிடமாவது கோபம் கொண்டிருப்பது நினைவில் வந்தால் அவர்களை மன்னித்து விடுங்கள். நீங்கள் இதைச் செய்தால் பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிற உங்கள் பிதாவும் உங்களது தவறுகளை மன்னித்துவிடுவார்” என்றார். 26 [a]
இயேசுவின் அதிகாரத்தை சந்தேகித்தல்
(மத்தேயு 21:23-27; லூக்கா 20:1-8)
27 இயேசுவும் சீஷர்களும் மீண்டும் எருசலேமுக்குச் சென்றார்கள். அவர் தேவாலயத்திற்குள் நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தார். தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களும், வேதபாரகர்களும், மூத்த யூதத் தலைவர்களும் இயேசுவிடம் வந்தனர். 28 அவரிடம், “எங்களுக்குச் சொல். இவற்றையெல்லாம் செய்ய நீ எங்கிருந்து அதிகாரம் பெற்றாய்? யார் உனக்கு இந்த அதிகாரத்தைக் கொடுத்தது?” என்று கேட்டனர்.
29 அதற்கு இயேசு, “நான் உங்களிடம் ஒரு கேள்வியைக் கேட்கிறேன். எனக்குப் பதில் சொல்லுங்கள். பிறகு நான் யாருடைய அதிகாரத்தால் இவற்றையெல்லாம் செய்கிறேன் என்பதைக் கூறுகிறேன். 30 யோவான் ஸ்நானகன் ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுத்தபோது அந்த அதிகாரம் அவனுக்கு தேவனிடமிருந்து வந்ததா அல்லது மனிதனிடமிருந்து வந்ததா? எனக்குப் பதில் சொல்லுங்கள்” என்றார்.
31 யூதத் தலைவர்கள் இயேசுவின் கேள்வியைப் பற்றி தங்களுக்குள் பேசிக்கொண்டனர். அவர்கள், “நாம் இவனிடம், ‘யோவான் தேவனிடமிருந்து அதிகாரத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டதாகச் சொன்னால்’, நம்மிடம் இவன், ‘பிறகு ஏன் யோவான் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைக்கவில்லை’ என்று கேட்பான். 32 ‘மனிதனிடமிருந்து வந்தது’ என்று சொல்வோமானால், பின்னர் மக்கள் நம்மீது கோபம்கொள்வர்” (யூதத் தலைவர்கள் மக்களுக்கு எப்போதும் பயந்தனர். ஏனென்றால் அனைத்து மக்களும் யோவானை உண்மையில் ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசி என்று நம்பினர்) என்று தங்களுக்குள் பேசிக்கொண்டனர்.
33 ஆகையால் அவர்கள் இயேசுவிடம், “எங்களுக்குப் பதில் தெரியாது” என்றனர். இயேசுவும், “அப்படியானால், நானும் யார் அதிகாரத்தால் இதனைச் செய்கிறேன் என்பதைச் சொல்லமாட்டேன்” என்றார்.

11 They came to Bethphage and Bethany, near Jerusalem by the hill called Olives. Then he sent two of his disciples ahead.
2 He said, `Go into the village in front of you. As soon as you go in, you will find an animal tied. No one has ever sat on it. Untie it and bring it to me.
3 If anyone asks you, "Why are you doing this?" tell him, "The Lord needs it. He will send it back soon." '
4 The disciples went. They found the animal tied outside a door in the street. They untied it.
5 People standing there said, `What are you doing, untying the animal?'
6 The disciples said what Jesus had told them to say. So they let them go.
7 They brought it to Jesus and laid their coats on it. He got on it.
8 Many people spread their coats on the road. Others cut leaves and branches from the fields and put them on the road.
9 People in front of him and people behind him shouted, `Praise God! God bless him who comes in the name of the Lord!
10 God bless the kingdom of our father David which is coming. Praise him in heaven!'
11 And so Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. He looked at everything. Then he went out with the twelve disciples to Bethany. It was late already.
12 In the morning when they were on the way out of Bethany, Jesus was hungry.
13 He saw a fig tree a little way off with leaves on it. So he went to see if it had figs. He came to the tree. There was no fruit on it, only leaves. It was not the time for figs.
14 Jesus said to the tree, `No one will ever eat a fig from you again!' His disciples heard what he said.
15 They reached Jerusalem. Jesus went into the temple. He began to drive out the people who were buying and selling in the temple. He threw down the tables of the money changers. He pushed down the seats of those who sold doves.
16 He would not let anyone carry anything through the temple.
17 He taught the people, saying, `The holy writings say, "My house shall be called a house for all tribes and nations, where people talk with God." But you have made it a place for people who steal!'
18 The chief priests and scribes heard what he said. They wanted to find some way to kill him. They feared Jesus because all the people were surprised at his teaching.
19 In the evening Jesus and his disciples went out of the city.
20 The next morning they passed the fig tree again. They saw that it had died from the roots.
21 Peter remembered about it. He said, `Look Master, you cursed the fig tree and it has died.'
22 Jesus said, `Believe in God.
23 I tell you the truth. Anyone may say to this hill, "Go and jump into the sea." He must not doubt in his heart, but he must believe that he will have the things he asks for and he will have them.
24 So I tell you, when you ask God for anything believe that you will get it and you will have it.
25 When you stand and talk with God, forgive others for the wrong things they have done to you. Then your Father in heaven will also forgive you for the wrong things you have done.
26 But if you do not forgive others, your Father in heaven will not forgive you for the wrong things you have done.'
27 They came to Jerusalem again. Jesus walked in the temple. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders came to him.
28 They said, `What right have you to do these things? Who gave you the right to do them?'
29 Jesus said, `I will ask you a question. If you answer me, I will answer you and tell you what right I have to do these things.
30 Who gave John the right to baptise people? Did God or did men? Answer me!'
31 So they talked it over together. They said, `If we say, "God gave John the right," he will say, "Then why did you not believe him?"
32 But what if we say, "Men gave him the right to do it"?' They feared the people because they all believed that John was a prophet of God.
33 So they answered Jesus, `We do not know.' Then Jesus said, `Neither will I tell you what right I have to do these things.'

Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King(A)(B)
11 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany(C) at the Mount of Olives,(D) Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden.(E) Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’”
4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway.(F) As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,
“Hosanna![a]”
10 “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”(H)
11 Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.(I)
Jesus Curses a Fig Tree and Clears the Temple Courts(J)(K)(L)
12 The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs.(M) 14 Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.
15 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, 16 and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. 17 And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’[c]?(N) But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’[d]”(O)
18 The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him,(P) because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.(Q)
19 When evening came, Jesus and his disciples[e] went out of the city.(R)
20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi,(S) look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”
22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[f] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.(T) 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.(U) 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”(V) [26] [g]
The Authority of Jesus Questioned(W)
27 They arrived again in Jerusalem, and while Jesus was walking in the temple courts, the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders came to him. 28 “By what authority are you doing these things?” they asked. “And who gave you authority to do this?”
29 Jesus replied, “I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. 30 John’s baptism—was it from heaven, or of human origin? Tell me!”
31 They discussed it among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Then why didn’t you believe him?’ 32 But if we say, ‘Of human origin’ …” (They feared the people, for everyone held that John really was a prophet.)(X)
33 So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.”
Jesus said, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”

11 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
19 And when even was come, he went out of the city.
20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
28 And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

2 – Идите в селение, которое перед вами, – сказал Он им, – и сразу же как войдёте, вы найдёте привязанного ослёнка, на которого никто не садился. Отвяжите его и приведите сюда. 3 Если кто-нибудь вам скажет: «Зачем вы это делаете?» – отвечайте, что ослёнок нужен Повелителю и что Он сразу же вернёт его.
4 Ученики пошли и нашли ослёнка, привязанного на улице к наружной стороне двери. Они стали его отвязывать, 5 и стоявшие там люди спросили:
– Что вы делаете? Зачем отвязываете ослёнка?
6 Ученики ответили, как велел Исо, и люди их отпустили. 7 Они привели ослёнка к Исо, набросили на него свои плащи, и Исо сел на него.[a] 8 Многие начали расстилать свои плащи на дороге, другие расстилали зелёные ветви, срезанные ими в поле. 9 И те, кто шёл впереди, и те, кто шёл позади, громко кричали:
– Хвала Царю![b]
Благословен Тот, Кто приходит во имя Вечного![c]
10 Благословенно наступающее Царство предка нашего Довуда![d]
Хвала Царю до небес!
11 Войдя в Иерусалим, Исо прошёл в храм. Он осмотрел всё, но так как было уже поздно, Он вместе с двенадцатью учениками отправился в Вифанию.

12 На следующий день, когда они вышли из Вифании, Исо почувствовал голод. 13 Увидев вдали покрытый листьями инжир, Он подошёл посмотреть, нет ли на нём плодов, но не нашёл ничего, кроме листьев. Время же для сбора инжира ещё не пришло.[e] 14 Тогда Исо сказал дереву:

Изгнание торговцев из храма(C)
15 Когда они пришли в Иерусалим, Исо вошёл во двор храма и стал выгонять оттуда тех, кто там продавал и покупал. Он опрокинул столы менял и прилавки торговцев голубями 16 и не позволял ничего проносить через дворы храма.
17 – Разве не написано: «Дом Мой будет назван домом молитвы для всех народов»[g]? – учил Он их. – А вы превратили его в разбойничье логово.[h]
18 Услышав это, главные священнослужители и учители Таврота стали искать способ, как им убить Исо. Они боялись Его, потому что весь народ изумлялся Его учению. 19 Когда наступил вечер, Исо с учениками снова покинул город.
О вере(D)
20 На следующее утро, проходя мимо, они увидели, что инжир засох до корней. 21 Петрус вспомнил, что произошло накануне, и сказал:
– Учитель! Смотри! Инжир, который Ты проклял, засох!
22 Исо ответил им:
– Имейте веру во Всевышнего! 23 Говорю вам истину: если кто-то скажет этой горе: «Поднимись и бросься в море!» – и при этом не будет сомневаться в душе, а будет верить, что произойдёт то, что он сказал, то так ему и будет. 24 Поэтому говорю вам: о чём бы вы ни попросили в молитве, верьте, что вы уже получили это, – и будет вам. 25-26 И когда вы молитесь, то прощайте всем, на кого вы обижены, чтобы и ваш Небесный Отец простил вам ваши грехи.[i]

27 Они снова пришли в Иерусалим, и когда Исо ходил в храме, к Нему подошли главные священнослужители, учители Таврота и старейшины.
28 – Чьей властью Ты всё это делаешь? – спросили они. – Кто дал Тебе власть делать всё это?
29 Исо ответил:
– Я задам вам вопрос. Ответьте Мне, и тогда Я вам скажу, чьей властью Я это делаю. 30 Яхьё получил своё право совершать обряд погружения в воду[j] от Всевышнего[k] или от людей? Ответьте Мне!
31 Они стали рассуждать между собой:
– Если мы скажем: «От Всевышнего», то Он спросит: «Так почему же вы ему не поверили?» 32 Сказать: «От людей…» – боялись народа, ведь все считали, что Яхьё был настоящим пророком.
33 И они ответили:
– Мы не знаем.
– Тогда и Я вам не скажу, чьей властью Я всё это делаю, – сказал им Исо.
