謀害耶穌
14 再過兩天就是逾越節和除酵節，祭司長和律法教師正暗暗地找機會拘捕、殺害耶穌。
2 他們說：「我們不能在節期那天下手，以免在百姓中引起騷亂。」
耶穌受膏
3 耶穌在伯大尼村患過痲瘋病的西門家裡吃飯，有個女人帶了一瓶極貴重的純哪噠香膏進來，把玉瓶打破，將香膏倒在耶穌頭上。 4 有些人生氣地彼此議論說：「為什麼這樣浪費？ 5 這瓶香膏可以賣三百多個銀幣[a]來賙濟窮人。」他們就責備那女人。
6 耶穌說：「隨她吧！何必為難她呢？她在我身上做的是一件美事。 7 因為你們身邊總會有窮人，你們隨時都可以幫助他們，可是你們身邊不會總有我。 8 她做了自己能做的。她是為我的安葬做準備，提前用香膏抹了我的身體。 9 我實在告訴你們，無論福音傳到世界哪個角落，人們都會傳揚這女人的事蹟，紀念她。」
猶大出賣耶穌
10 十二門徒當中的加略人猶大去見祭司長，要把耶穌出賣給他們。 11 他們聽了喜出望外，答應給他酬金。於是猶大伺機出賣耶穌。
最後的晚餐
12 除酵節的第一天，就是宰殺逾越節羔羊的那天，門徒問耶穌：「我們該到什麼地方為你準備逾越節的晚餐呢？」
13 耶穌就派了兩個門徒，並囑咐他們：「你們進城會看到一個人帶著一瓶水迎面而來，你們就跟著他。 14 他進哪一家，你們也跟著進去，對那家的主人說，『我們的老師問你，祂的客房在哪裡，祂要和門徒在裡面吃逾越節的晚餐。』 15 主人會帶你們到樓上一間布置整齊的大房間，你們就在那裡準備吧。」
16 兩個門徒出去，進了城，所遇見的果然和耶穌所說的一樣。他們預備了逾越節的晚餐。
17 傍晚時分，耶穌帶著十二門徒來了。 18 用餐的時候，耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們，你們中間有一個人要出賣我，他現在正和我同桌吃飯。」
19 他們聽了都感到不安，一個一個地問耶穌：「不是我吧？」 20 耶穌說：「是你們十二個人中的一個，他現在正和我一起在盤子裡蘸餅吃。 21 人子一定會受害，正如聖經的記載，但出賣人子的人有禍了，他還不如不生在這世上！」
22 他們吃的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝後，便掰開，分給門徒，說：「拿去吃吧！這是我的身體。」 23 接著又拿起杯來，祝謝後，遞給他們，他們都喝了。 24 耶穌說：「這是我為萬人所流的立約之血。 25 我實在告訴你們，從今天起，一直到我在上帝的國喝新酒的那天之前，我不會再喝這葡萄酒。」
26 他們唱完詩歌，就出門去了橄欖山。
預言彼得不認主
27 耶穌對他們說：「你們都要背棄我，因為聖經上說，
『我要擊打牧人，
羊群將四散。』
28 但我復活後，要先你們一步去加利利。」
29 彼得說：「即使所有人都背棄你，我也決不會背棄你！」
30 耶穌說：「我實在告訴你，就在今天晚上雞叫兩次以前，你會三次不認我。」
31 彼得鄭重地說：「就算要我跟你一起死，我也不會不認你。」其他門徒也都這樣說。
客西馬尼園的禱告
32 他們到了客西馬尼園，耶穌對門徒說：「你們坐在這裡，我要去禱告。」
33 於是耶穌帶著彼得、雅各和約翰向前走。祂覺得極其難過，非常傷痛， 34 說：「我心裡非常憂傷，幾乎要死，你們留在這裡警醒。」 35 耶穌往前走了不遠，俯伏在地禱告，如果可以，不要讓那時刻臨到祂。
36 祂說：「阿爸，父啊，你無所不能，求你撤去此杯。然而，願你的旨意成就，而非我的意願。」
37 祂回來，見他們都睡著了，就對彼得說：「西門，你在睡覺嗎？你不能警醒一時嗎？ 38 你們要警醒禱告，免得陷入誘惑。你們的心靈雖然願意，肉體卻很軟弱。」
39 耶穌又去禱告，所祈求的跟上次一樣。 40 祂回來時見他們又睡著了，因為他們睏得眼皮發沉，也不知道對祂說什麼。 41 祂第三次禱告回來後，對他們說：「你們還在睡覺休息嗎？夠了，時候到了，看啊，人子要被出賣、交在罪人的手裡了。 42 起來，我們走吧。看啊，出賣我的人已經來了！」
耶穌被捕
43 耶穌還在說話的時候，十二門徒之一的猶大已帶了一群人拿著刀棍迎面而來。他們奉了祭司長、律法教師和長老之命來捉拿耶穌。 44 出賣耶穌的猶大預先和他們定了暗號，說：「我親吻誰，誰就是耶穌，你們把祂抓起來，小心押走。」
45 猶大隨即走到耶穌跟前說：「老師。」然後就親吻耶穌。 46 其他人就下手捉拿耶穌。 47 站在旁邊的一個門徒拔出刀朝大祭司的奴僕砍去，削掉了他一隻耳朵。
48 耶穌問那群人：「你們像對付強盜一樣拿著刀棍來抓我嗎？ 49 我天天和你們在一起，在聖殿裡教導人，你們沒有來抓我。你們現在這樣做是要應驗聖經的話。」
50 那時，門徒都撇下耶穌，各自逃命去了。 51 只有一個身上披著一塊麻布的青年跟著耶穌。他們上去捉他， 52 他丟了那塊麻布，赤身逃走了。
大祭司審問耶穌
53 他們把耶穌押到大祭司那裡，眾祭司長、長老和律法教師都來了。 54 那時彼得遠遠地跟著耶穌，一直來到大祭司的院子，與衛兵們坐在一起烤火。 55 祭司長和全公會的人正在尋找證據控告耶穌，要定祂死罪，只是找不到。 56 不少人作偽證控告祂，他們的證詞卻不一致。 57 後來，有幾個人站起來作偽證說： 58 「我們聽見祂說，『我要拆毀這座人手建造的聖殿，三天內不靠人力另造一座。』」 59 即使這樣，他們的證詞也不一致。
60 最後，大祭司在眾人面前站起來質問耶穌：「你不回答嗎？這些人作證控告你的是什麼呢？」
61 耶穌還是沉默不語，什麼也不答。大祭司又問祂：「你是那當受稱頌者的兒子基督嗎？」 62 耶穌說：「我是！將來你們要看見人子坐在全能上帝的右邊，駕著天上的雲降臨。」
63 大祭司便撕裂衣服，說：「我們還需要什麼證人呢？ 64 你們聽見祂說褻瀆的話了，你們看怎麼辦？」他們都判祂死罪。
65 有幾個人向祂吐唾沫，蒙上祂的眼睛，揮拳打祂，嘲笑祂說：「你說預言吧！」衛兵押祂下去時，也打祂。
彼得三次不認耶穌
66 那時，彼得仍在院子裡，大祭司的一個婢女走過來， 67 見彼得在烤火，打量了他一番，說：「你也是那個拿撒勒人耶穌的同夥。」
68 「我不知道也不明白你在說什麼！」彼得一邊否認，一邊躲到外院去。那時，雞叫了。
69 一會兒，那婢女又看見彼得，就對旁邊的人說：「他是跟他們一夥的！」 70 彼得又加以否認。
再過了一會兒，旁觀的人也指著彼得說：「你一定是跟他們一夥的，因為你也是加利利人！」
71 彼得又賭咒又發誓，說：「我根本不認識你們說的這個人。」 72 就在這時候，雞又叫了。彼得突然想起耶穌曾對他說：「在雞叫兩次以前，你會三次不認我」，忍不住痛哭起來。

Verschwörung gegen Jesus (Matthäus 26,1‒5; Lukas 22,1‒2)
14 Es waren nur noch zwei Tage bis zum Passahfest und zum Fest der ungesäuerten Brote. Die obersten Priester und die Schriftgelehrten suchten nach einer günstigen Gelegenheit, bei der sie Jesus heimlich festnehmen und umbringen lassen könnten. 2 Sie waren sich aber einig: »Es darf auf keinen Fall während der Festtage geschehen, damit es nicht zu einem Aufruhr im Volk kommt!«
Ein Vermögen für Jesus (Matthäus 26,6‒13; Johannes 12,1‒8)
3 Jesus war in Betanien zu Gast bei Simon, der früher einmal aussätzig gewesen war. Während der Mahlzeit kam eine Frau herein. In ihren Händen hielt sie ein Fläschchen mit reinem, kostbarem Nardenöl[a]. Sie öffnete das Gefäß und salbte mit dem Öl den Kopf von Jesus. 4 Darüber regten sich einige Gäste auf: »Das ist ja die reinste Verschwendung! 5 Dieses Öl ist mindestens 300 Silberstücke wert. Man hätte es lieber verkaufen und das Geld den Armen geben sollen!« So machten sie der Frau heftige Vorwürfe.
6 Aber Jesus sagte: »Lasst sie in Ruhe! Warum macht ihr der Frau Schwierigkeiten? Sie hat etwas Gutes für mich getan. 7 Arme, die eure Hilfe nötig haben, wird es immer geben. Ihnen könnt ihr helfen, sooft ihr wollt. Ich dagegen bin nicht mehr lange bei euch. 8 Diese Frau hat getan, was sie konnte: Mit diesem Salböl hat sie meinen Körper für mein Begräbnis vorbereitet. 9 Ich versichere euch: Überall in der Welt, wo Gottes rettende Botschaft verkündet wird, wird man auch von dieser Frau sprechen und von dem, was sie getan hat.«
Der Verrat (Matthäus 26,14‒16; Lukas 22,3‒6)
10 Anschließend ging Judas Iskariot, einer von den zwölf Jüngern, zu den obersten Priestern, weil er Jesus an sie ausliefern wollte. 11 Hocherfreut versprachen sie ihm eine Belohnung. Von da an suchte Judas eine günstige Gelegenheit, um Jesus zu verraten.
Vorbereitungen für das Passahfest (Matthäus 26,17‒19; Lukas 22,7‒13)
12 Am ersten Tag des Festes der ungesäuerten Brote, an dem das Passahlamm geschlachtet wurde, fragten die Jünger Jesus: »Wo sollen wir für dich das Passahmahl vorbereiten?« 13 »Geht in die Stadt«, beauftragte Jesus zwei von ihnen. »Dort wird euch ein Mann begegnen, der einen Wasserkrug trägt. Diesem Mann folgt, 14 bis er in ein Haus geht. Dem Besitzer des Hauses sollt ihr sagen: ›Der Lehrer lässt fragen: Wo ist der Raum, in dem ich mit meinen Jüngern das Passahmahl feiern kann?‹ 15 Er wird euch ein großes Zimmer im Obergeschoss zeigen, das mit Polstern ausgestattet und für das Festmahl hergerichtet ist. Bereitet dort alles Weitere für uns vor.«
16 Die beiden Jünger gingen in die Stadt und trafen alles so an, wie Jesus es ihnen gesagt hatte. Dann bereiteten sie das Passahmahl vor.
Jesus feiert mit seinen Jüngern das Passahmahl (Matthäus 26,20‒30; Lukas 22,14‒23; Johannes 13,21‒26)
17 Am Abend kam Jesus mit den zwölf Jüngern. 18 Beim Essen erklärte er ihnen: »Ich versichere euch: Einer von euch, der jetzt mit mir isst, wird mich verraten!« 19 Bestürzt fragte einer nach dem andern: »Du meinst doch nicht etwa mich?«
20 Jesus antwortete: »Es ist einer von euch zwölf, der mit mir das Brot in die Schüssel getaucht hat. 21 Der Menschensohn muss zwar sein Leben lassen, wie es in der Heiligen Schrift vorausgesagt ist; aber wehe dem, der ihn verrät! Dieser Mensch wäre besser nie geboren worden.«
22 Während sie aßen, nahm Jesus ein Brot, sprach das Dankgebet, brach das Brot in Stücke und gab es ihnen mit den Worten: »Nehmt und esst! Das ist mein Leib.« 23 Anschließend nahm er einen Becher Wein, dankte Gott und reichte ihn seinen Jüngern. Sie tranken alle daraus. 24 Jesus sagte: »Das ist mein Blut, mit dem der neue Bund zwischen Gott und den Menschen besiegelt wird. Es wird zur Vergebung ihrer Sünden vergossen. 25 Ich versichere euch: Von jetzt an werde ich keinen Wein mehr trinken, bis ich ihn wieder in Gottes Reich trinken werde.«
26 Nachdem sie das Danklied[b] gesungen hatten, gingen sie hinaus an den Ölberg.
Jesus kündigt seine Verleugnung durch Petrus an (Matthäus 26,31‒35; Lukas 22,31‒34; Johannes 13,36‒38)
27 Unterwegs sagte Jesus zu seinen Jüngern: »Ihr werdet euch alle von mir abwenden. Denn in der Heiligen Schrift steht:
›Ich werde den Hirten erschlagen, und die Schafe werden auseinanderlaufen.‹[c]
28 Aber nach meiner Auferstehung werde ich nach Galiläa gehen, und dort werdet ihr mich wiedersehen.«
29 Da beteuerte Petrus: »Wenn sich auch alle anderen von dir abwenden – ich halte zu dir!« 30 Jesus erwiderte: »Ich versichere dir: Heute Nacht, noch ehe der Hahn zweimal kräht, wirst du dreimal geleugnet haben, mich zu kennen.« 31 »Ausgeschlossen!«, rief Petrus. »Auch wenn es bedeutet, dass ich mit dir sterben muss, werde ich das niemals tun!« Alle anderen Jünger beteuerten dies ebenfalls.
Im Garten Gethsemane (Matthäus 26,36‒46; Lukas 22,40‒46)
32 Dann ging Jesus mit seinen Jüngern in einen Garten, der am Ölberg liegt und Gethsemane heißt. Dort bat er sie: »Setzt euch hier hin und wartet auf mich, bis ich gebetet habe!« 33 Petrus, Jakobus und Johannes nahm er mit. Angst und Entsetzen überfielen Jesus, 34 und er sagte zu ihnen: »Ich zerbreche beinahe unter der Last, die ich zu tragen habe.[d] Bleibt hier und wacht mit mir!« 35 Jesus ging ein paar Schritte weiter, warf sich nieder und betete, dass Gott ihm, wenn es möglich wäre, diese schwere Stunde ersparte: 36 »Abba[e], Vater, alles ist dir möglich. Lass diesen bitteren Kelch des Leidens an mir vorübergehen. Aber nicht was ich will, sondern was du willst, soll geschehen.«
37 Dann kam er zu den drei Jüngern zurück und sah, dass sie eingeschlafen waren. Er weckte Petrus. »Simon«, rief er, »du schläfst? Konntest du denn nicht eine einzige Stunde mit mir wachen? 38 Bleibt wach und betet, damit ihr der Versuchung widerstehen könnt. Ich weiß, ihr wollt das Beste, aber aus eigener Kraft könnt ihr es nicht erreichen.[f]« 39 Noch einmal ging er ein Stück weg und betete mit den gleichen Worten wie vorher. 40 Als er zurückkam, schliefen die Jünger schon wieder. Die Augen waren ihnen zugefallen, und sie wussten vor Müdigkeit nicht, was sie Jesus sagen sollten. 41 Als er zum dritten Mal zu ihnen zurückkehrte, sagte er: »Ihr schlaft immer noch und ruht euch aus? Genug jetzt! Die Stunde ist gekommen: Der Menschensohn wird den gottlosen Menschen ausgeliefert. 42 Steht auf, lasst uns gehen! Der Verräter ist schon da.«
Verrat und Verhaftung (Matthäus 26,47‒56; Lukas 22,47‒53; Johannes 18,2‒18)
43 Noch während Jesus sprach, kam Judas, einer der zwölf Jünger, zusammen mit vielen Männern, die mit Schwertern und Knüppeln bewaffnet waren. Die obersten Priester, die Schriftgelehrten und die führenden Männer des Volkes hatten sie geschickt. 44 Judas, der Verräter, hatte mit den Bewaffneten ein Zeichen vereinbart: »Der Mann, den ich zur Begrüßung küssen werde[g], der ist es. Den müsst ihr festnehmen und gut bewacht abführen!« 45 Er ging direkt auf Jesus zu: »Rabbi!«, sagte er. Dann küsste er ihn. 46 Sofort packten die bewaffneten Männer Jesus und nahmen ihn fest.
47 Aber einer von den Männern, die bei Jesus standen, wollte das verhindern. Er zog sein Schwert, schlug auf den Diener des Hohenpriesters ein und hieb ihm ein Ohr ab.
48 Jesus fragte die Leute, die ihn festgenommen hatten: »Bin ich denn ein Verbrecher, dass ihr euch mit Schwertern und Knüppeln bewaffnet habt, um mich zu verhaften? 49 Jeden Tag habe ich öffentlich im Tempel gelehrt. Warum habt ihr mich nicht dort festgenommen? Aber auch dies geschieht, damit sich die Vorhersagen der Heiligen Schrift erfüllen.«
50 Da ließen ihn alle seine Jünger im Stich und ergriffen die Flucht.
51 Ein junger Mann allerdings folgte Jesus. Er trug nur ein leichtes Untergewand aus Leinen. Als die Männer versuchten, auch ihn festzunehmen, 52 riss er sich los. Sie blieben mit dem Gewand in den Händen zurück, und der junge Mann konnte nackt entkommen.
Jesus vor Gericht (Matthäus 26,57‒68; Lukas 22,63‒71; Johannes 18,19‒24)
53 Gleich darauf brachte man Jesus zum Hohenpriester. Bei ihm hatten sich alle obersten Priester, die führenden Männer des Volkes und die Schriftgelehrten versammelt. 54 In sicherem Abstand folgte Petrus den Männern bis in den Innenhof des hohepriesterlichen Palastes. Dort setzte er sich zu den Dienern und wärmte sich am Feuer.
55 Die obersten Priester und der ganze Hohe Rat suchten Zeugen, die durch ihre Aussagen Jesus so belasten sollten, dass man ihn zum Tode verurteilen konnte. Aber es gelang ihnen nicht. 56 Viele Zeugen brachten zwar falsche Anschuldigungen vor, doch ihre Aussagen widersprachen sich. 57 Schließlich traten einige Männer vor, die man bestochen hatte, und erklärten: 58 »Wir haben gehört, wie dieser Jesus behauptete: ›Ich will den von Menschen gebauten Tempel abreißen und dafür in drei Tagen einen anderen aufbauen, der nicht von Menschen errichtet ist.‹« 59 Doch auch ihre Aussagen stimmten nicht überein.
60 Jetzt erhob sich der Hohepriester, stellte sich mitten unter die Versammelten und fragte Jesus: »Warum antwortest du nicht? Hast du nichts gegen diese Anschuldigungen zu sagen?« 61 Aber Jesus schwieg. Weil er keine Antwort gab, stellte ihm der Hohepriester eine weitere Frage: »Bist du der Christus, der von Gott erwählte Retter, der Sohn Gottes[h]?« 62 »Ja, der bin ich«, antwortete Jesus. »Ihr werdet den Menschensohn an der rechten Seite des allmächtigen Gottes sitzen und auf den Wolken des Himmels kommen sehen.«
63 Empört zerriss der Hohepriester sein Gewand und rief: »Das genügt! Wozu brauchen wir noch weitere Zeugen? 64 Ihr habt ja seine Gotteslästerung selbst gehört. Wie lautet euer Urteil?« Einstimmig beschlossen sie: »Er ist schuldig. Er muss sterben.«
65 Darauf spuckten einige von ihnen Jesus an, verbanden ihm die Augen und schlugen mit den Fäusten auf ihn ein. »Na, du Prophet«, verhöhnten sie ihn, »sag uns, wer hat dich geschlagen?« Auch die Diener des Hohenpriesters, die Jesus abführten, schlugen ihn.
Petrus behauptet, Jesus nicht zu kennen (Matthäus 26,69‒75; Lukas 22,54‒62; Johannes 18,17.25‒27)
66 Petrus war immer noch unten im Hof. Eine Dienerin des Hohenpriesters kam dazu 67 und bemerkte, wie er sich am Feuer wärmte. Sie sah Petrus genauer an und sagte: »Du gehörst doch auch zu diesem Jesus aus Nazareth!« 68 Doch Petrus behauptete: »Ich weiß nicht, wovon du redest!« Schnell ging er hinaus in den Vorhof. Da krähte ein Hahn.
69 Aber auch hier entdeckte ihn die Dienerin und sagte zu den Umstehenden: »Das ist auch einer von denen, die bei Jesus waren!« 70 Wieder bestritt Petrus es heftig. Doch nach einer Weile sagten auch die anderen, die dort standen: »Natürlich gehörst du zu seinen Freunden; du kommst doch auch aus Galiläa!« 71 Da rief Petrus: »Ich schwöre euch: Ich kenne diesen Menschen überhaupt nicht, von dem ihr da redet! Gott soll mich verfluchen, wenn ich lüge!«
72 In diesem Augenblick krähte der Hahn zum zweiten Mal, und Petrus fielen die Worte ein, die Jesus zu ihm gesagt hatte: »Ehe der Hahn zweimal kräht, wirst du dreimal geleugnet haben, mich zu kennen.« Da fing Petrus an zu weinen.

犹太人首领计划杀害耶稣
14 还有两天就到犹太逾越节和除酵节了。祭司长和律法师们想设法用诡计把耶稣抓起来杀掉。 2 可他们又说∶“我们决不能在过节的时候动手，免得引起人们暴动。”
一位女子荣耀耶稣
3 在伯大尼，耶稣在麻风病人西门家里，正倚着桌子坐着，一位女子拿着一个雪花石制成的罐子，里面装满纯哪哒制成的昂贵香膏。她打破罐子，把香膏倒在耶稣头上。
4 旁边的人见了都非常生气，议论说∶“为什么要浪费这些香膏呢？它值一年的工钱呢，我们可以拿卖它的钱救济穷人。” 5 于是他们就责怪起那位妇人。
6 耶稣说∶“随她吧。你们为什么要和她过不去呢？她为我做了一件大好事。 7 因为总有穷人和你们在一起，所以你们想在什么时候帮助他们都可以。可是你们将不会常有我。 8 她已经尽力而为了。她事先把香膏倒在我身上，为我的葬礼做准备。 9 我实话告诉你们：普天下只要是福音传到的地方，这女子的所作所为将被永远传颂纪念。”
犹大同意帮助耶稣的敌人
10 十二使徒中的加略人犹大到祭司长那里，要把耶稣出卖给他们。 11 那些人听了犹大的话十分高兴，许诺给他赏钱。从此，犹大便开始伺机出卖耶稣。
逾越节的宴席
12 在除酵节的第一天，就是宰杀逾越节的羔羊 [a]的日子，耶稣的门徒们对他说∶“您想要我们到哪里去为您准备逾越节的晚宴呢？”
13 耶稣于是吩咐两个门徒说∶“你们到城里去，在那儿你们会遇见一个提着一罐水的人。你们跟着他走， 14 不管他走进哪座房子，你们也跟进去，对房主说∶‘老师问你：哪间客房是我和我的使徒吃逾越节宴的地方？’ 15 他会带你们到楼上的一个大房间里去，房间里的摆设一切俱全，这房间已准备好了。你们就在那里为我们预备宴席。”
16 那两个门徒动身到城里去，发现一切正像耶稣所说的。于是，他们把逾越节的宴席准备好了。
17 晚上，耶稣和十二使徒来了。 18 他们在餐桌边吃饭时，耶稣说∶“我实话告诉你们，你们当中有个人要出卖我，他现在正和我一起吃饭。”
19 使徒听到此都很难过，每个人都对耶稣说∶“这个人肯定不是我吧？”
20 耶稣说∶“他就是你们十二人当中的一个，他正在和我在同一个碟子里蘸饼。 21 人子就要走了，就像《经》上记载的一样。但是那个出卖人子的人定要遭殃了，他还不如不出世好。”
主的晚餐
22 当他们吃饭的时候，耶稣拿起饼，向上帝谢恩之后，然后他掰开饼，分给使徒们。他说∶“拿去，吃了这饼，这是我的身体。”
23 耶稣又端起酒 [b]杯，向上帝谢恩以后，把杯子递给使徒，他们都喝了杯中的酒。 24 耶稣说∶“这是我的血，它是为了宽恕许多人而流的，以便开始上帝对他子民的新契约。 25 我实话告诉你们，我再也不喝酒了，直到我在上帝的王国里饮新酒的那天。”
26 他们一起唱了圣歌，然后到橄榄山去了。
耶稣说他的门徒将离开他
27 耶稣对门徒们说∶“你们都将丧失信仰。因为《经》上写着：
‘我要杀死牧羊人。
羊群就会四处逃散。’ (A)
28 但是在我复活以后，我会比你们先到加利利。”
29 这时彼得说∶“即使其他所有的人对您失去了信仰，我也不会这样做。”
30 耶稣对他说∶“我实话告诉你：今天，就在今夜鸡叫两遍以前，你会三次说你不认识我。”
31 彼得却坚决地说∶“即使我必须和您一同死，我也决不会说我不认识您。”其他门徒也这么说。
独自祈祷
32 耶稣他们来到一个叫作客西马尼的地方。耶稣对门徒们说∶“我去祈祷，你们坐在这里。” 33 他带着彼得、雅各和约翰一起去了。这时耶稣非常悲伤痛苦。 34 他对他们说∶“我内心充满了沉重的悲伤，我痛苦得快要死了。和我一起警惕地守候着吧。”
35 耶稣又向前走了一点，匍匐在地上祈祷。祈求如果有可能，让他免遭那受难的时刻。 36 他说∶“阿爸 [c]，父，上帝，您是万能的，把这杯苦酒端开吧。不过，请不要做我想的事，而是按您的意愿去做吧。”
37 耶稣返回来，发现彼得他们都睡着了。他叫彼得∶“西门，你睡着了吗？难道你和我在一起时，连一个钟头都不能清醒吗？ 38 清醒吧，祈祷吧，免受诱惑。虽然你们的心灵愿意，但是你们的肉体却是软弱的。”
39 耶稣又去祈祷，仍旧祈祷刚才那番话。 40 然后，他又回到门徒那里，发现他们又睡着了。他们困得睁不开眼睛，不知对耶稣说什么才好。
41 耶稣祈祷了第三次，回来时，对彼得他们说∶“你们还在睡觉休息呢，够了！时辰到了！人子就要被出卖，落到罪人的手里。 42 起来，咱们得走了！你们瞧，出卖我的人来了。”
耶稣被捕
43 耶稣正说话时，十二使徒中的犹大，祭司长、律法师和年长的犹太首领派来的一大群人来了。他们手拿着刀剑和棍棒。
44 出卖耶稣的犹大已和他们约定了暗号。他说∶“我吻的人就是耶稣，你们把他抓起来押走。” 45 犹大一来就径直朝耶稣走去，说“拉比（老师）！”然后就吻他。 46 于是，那些人抓住耶稣，逮捕了他。 。 47 站在耶稣近处的一个门徒拔出剑来，朝大祭司 [d]的奴仆砍去，砍掉了他的一只耳朵。
48 这时耶稣对他们说∶“你们这么拿刀动棍地来抓我，好像我是一个罪犯。 49 我每天在大殿院里传教时都和你们在一起，那时候你们却不来抓我。不过，这样的情形恰好应验了《经》上的话。” 50 这时，耶稣的门徒们都抛下他逃走了。
51 可是有个年轻人仍然跟着耶稣。他赤身披着一块麻布片。那些人想抓住他， 52 年轻人甩下麻布片，赤身裸体地跑了。
耶稣在犹太首领面前
53 那伙人把耶稣押到大祭司的府邸。所有的祭司长、年长的犹太首领和律法师们都来了。 54 彼得远远地跟着耶稣，也进了大祭司的院子。他和警卫们在一起，坐在火堆边取暖。
55 祭司长们和议会所有的人们都企图找到证据判耶稣死刑，可是谁也找不到。 56 虽然有许多人作伪证陷害耶稣，但他们的证词却彼此矛盾。
57 这时有一些人站起来作伪证，他们说： 58 “我们听他说过这样的话∶‘我要把这座人造的大殿毁掉，并在三天之内重建一座殿，一座不是由人建造的殿。’” 59 即使在这一点上，人们的说法也彼此不一致。
60 这时大祭司站起来，问耶稣说∶“这些人在控告你，你有什么要辩解的吗？对这些人的证词，你有什么要说的？” 61 耶稣沉默不语。
大祭司又问道∶“你就是受到祝福的上帝之子基督吗？”
62 耶稣回答说∶“我是。你们将看到人子坐在万能的上帝右边，驾着天上的云来临。”
63 大祭司听了这话，非常懊恼，撕扯着自己的衣服说∶“我们不再需要别的证据了！ 64 你们都听见了他这些亵渎上帝的话。你们说该怎么办？”
所有的人都诅咒耶稣，说他有罪，说他该死。 65 有些人还朝耶稣吐唾沫，蒙住他的脸，用拳头打他，还对他说∶“先知，说说是谁在打你呢。”卫兵们带走了耶稣，还殴打他。
彼得不敢说他认识耶稣
66 那时彼得还在院子里。大祭司的一个女仆走进来， 67 看见彼得正在烤火，她仔细打量他， 说道∶“你也是和那个拿撒勒的耶稣在一起的人。”
68 彼得不敢承认，说∶“我不明白你在说什么。”然后他就躲到院子外面的过道上去了。这时候鸡叫头遍。
69 那个女仆又看见彼得，就对站在周围的人说∶“这人是和耶稣在一起的。” 70 彼得仍旧否认。
又过了一会，站在周围的人对彼得说∶“你肯定是和耶稣在一起的，因为你是加利利人。”
71 彼得用自己的性命赌咒发誓说∶“我不认识你们提到的那个人。” 72 这时，鸡叫二遍。彼得想起耶稣对他说过的话∶“鸡叫两遍之前，你会三次说不认识我。”他忍不住痛哭起来。

Jesus Anointed at Bethany(A)(B)(C)
14 Now the Passover(D) and the Festival of Unleavened Bread were only two days away, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were scheming to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.(E) 2 “But not during the festival,” they said, “or the people may riot.”
3 While he was in Bethany,(F) reclining at the table in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head.(G)
4 Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume? 5 It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages[a] and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly.
6 “Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7 The poor you will always have with you,[b] and you can help them any time you want.(H) But you will not always have me. 8 She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial.(I) 9 Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world,(J) what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”
10 Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve,(K) went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them.(L) 11 They were delighted to hear this and promised to give him money. So he watched for an opportunity to hand him over.
The Last Supper(M)(N)
12 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb,(O) Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”
13 So he sent two of his disciples, telling them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him. 14 Say to the owner of the house he enters, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ 15 He will show you a large room upstairs,(P) furnished and ready. Make preparations for us there.”
16 The disciples left, went into the city and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.
17 When evening came, Jesus arrived with the Twelve. 18 While they were reclining at the table eating, he said, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me—one who is eating with me.”
19 They were saddened, and one by one they said to him, “Surely you don’t mean me?”
20 “It is one of the Twelve,” he replied, “one who dips bread into the bowl with me.(Q) 21 The Son of Man(R) will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
22 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it(S) and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take it; this is my body.”
23 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it.(T)
24 “This is my blood of the[c] covenant,(U) which is poured out for many,” he said to them. 25 “Truly I tell you, I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”(V)
26 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.(W)
Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial(X)
27 “You will all fall away,” Jesus told them, “for it is written:
28 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”(Z)
29 Peter declared, “Even if all fall away, I will not.”
30 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “today—yes, tonight—before the rooster crows twice[e] you yourself will disown me three times.”(AA)
31 But Peter insisted emphatically, “Even if I have to die with you,(AB) I will never disown you.” And all the others said the same.
Gethsemane(AC)
32 They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” 33 He took Peter, James and John(AD) along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. 34 “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,”(AE) he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.”
35 Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour(AF) might pass from him. 36 “Abba,[f] Father,”(AG) he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup(AH) from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”(AI)
37 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Simon,” he said to Peter, “are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour? 38 Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.(AJ) The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”(AK)
39 Once more he went away and prayed the same thing. 40 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. They did not know what to say to him.
41 Returning the third time, he said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough! The hour(AL) has come. Look, the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. 42 Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”
Jesus Arrested(AM)
43 Just as he was speaking, Judas,(AN) one of the Twelve, appeared. With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, the teachers of the law, and the elders.
44 Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him and lead him away under guard.” 45 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Rabbi!”(AO) and kissed him. 46 The men seized Jesus and arrested him. 47 Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.
48 “Am I leading a rebellion,” said Jesus, “that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? 49 Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts,(AP) and you did not arrest me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.”(AQ) 50 Then everyone deserted him and fled.(AR)
51 A young man, wearing nothing but a linen garment, was following Jesus. When they seized him, 52 he fled naked, leaving his garment behind.
Jesus Before the Sanhedrin(AS)(AT)
53 They took Jesus to the high priest, and all the chief priests, the elders and the teachers of the law came together. 54 Peter followed him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest.(AU) There he sat with the guards and warmed himself at the fire.(AV)
55 The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin(AW) were looking for evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death, but they did not find any. 56 Many testified falsely against him, but their statements did not agree.
57 Then some stood up and gave this false testimony against him: 58 “We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with human hands and in three days will build another,(AX) not made with hands.’” 59 Yet even then their testimony did not agree.
60 Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, “Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” 61 But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.(AY)
Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”(AZ)
62 “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”(BA)
63 The high priest tore his clothes.(BB) “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. 64 “You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?”
They all condemned him as worthy of death.(BC) 65 Then some began to spit at him; they blindfolded him, struck him with their fists, and said, “Prophesy!” And the guards took him and beat him.(BD)
Peter Disowns Jesus(BE)
66 While Peter was below in the courtyard,(BF) one of the servant girls of the high priest came by. 67 When she saw Peter warming himself,(BG) she looked closely at him.
“You also were with that Nazarene, Jesus,”(BH) she said.
68 But he denied it. “I don’t know or understand what you’re talking about,”(BI) he said, and went out into the entryway.[g]
69 When the servant girl saw him there, she said again to those standing around, “This fellow is one of them.” 70 Again he denied it.(BJ)
After a little while, those standing near said to Peter, “Surely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean.”(BK)
71 He began to call down curses, and he swore to them, “I don’t know this man you’re talking about.”(BL)
72 Immediately the rooster crowed the second time.[h] Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice[i] you will disown me three times.”(BM) And he broke down and wept.

The Plot to Kill Jesus
14 (A)Now (B)the Passover and Unleavened Bread were two days away; and the chief priests and the scribes (C)were seeking how, after seizing Him in secret, they might kill Him; 2 for they were saying, “Not during the festival, lest there be a riot of the people.”
The Costly Perfume
3 (D)And while He was in (E)Bethany at the home of Simon the leper, and reclining at the table, there came a woman with an alabaster jar of perfume of very (F)costly pure [a]nard; and she broke the jar and poured it over His head. 4 But some were indignantly remarking to one another, “Why has this perfume been wasted? 5 For this perfume might have been sold for over three hundred [b]denarii and given to the poor.” And they were scolding her. 6 But Jesus said, “Let her alone; why do you bother her? The Passover Meal

The Lord’s Supper

Jesus Prays in Gethsemane

The Betrayal and Arrest of Jesus

51 And a young man was following Him, wearing nothing but a linen sheet over his naked body; and they *seized him. 52 But he [p]pulled free of the linen sheet and escaped naked.
Jesus Before His Accusers
53 (AM)Then they led Jesus away to the high priest; and all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes *gathered together. 54 And Peter followed Him at a distance, (AN)right into (AO)the courtyard of the high priest; and he was sitting with the [q]officers and (AP)warming himself at the [r]fire. 55 Now the chief priests and the whole [s](AQ)Sanhedrin were seeking to obtain testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, and they were not finding any. 56 For many were giving false testimony against Him, but their testimony was not consistent. 57 And some, standing up, were giving false testimony against Him, saying, 58 “We ourselves heard Him say, ‘(AR)I will destroy this [t]sanctuary made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.’” 59 And not even in this way was their testimony consistent. 60 And the high priest stood up in their midst and questioned Jesus, saying, “You answer nothing? What are these men testifying against You?” 61 (AS)But He kept silent and did not answer. Peter’s Denials
66 (BB)And as Peter was below in (BC)the courtyard, one of the servant-girls of the high priest *came, 67 and seeing Peter (BD)warming himself, she looked at him and *said, “You also were with the (BE)Nazarene, Jesus.” 68 But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you are talking about.” And he (BF)went out into the entryway.[y] 69 And when the servant-girl saw him, she began once more to say to the bystanders, “This is one of them!” 70 But again (BG)he was denying it. And after a little while the bystanders were again saying to Peter, “Surely you are one of them, (BH)for you are also a Galilean.” 71 But he began to [z]curse and swear, “I do not know this man you are talking about!” 72 And immediately a rooster crowed a second time.
