The Holy Spirit Poured Out on the Gentiles

34 (A)And opening his mouth, Peter said:

“I most truly comprehend now that (B)God is not one to show partiality, 35 but (C)in every nation the one who [a](D)fears Him and does righteousness is welcome to Him. 36 As for the word which He sent to the sons of Israel, (E)proclaiming the good news of (F)peace through Jesus Christ—He is (G)Lord of all— 37 you yourselves know the thing which happened throughout all Judea, starting from Galilee, after the baptism which John proclaimed. 38 [b]You know of (H)Jesus of Nazareth, how God (I)anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, [c](J)and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for (K)God was with Him. 39 And we are (L)witnesses of all the things He did both in the [d]land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also (M)put Him to death by hanging Him on a tree. 40 (N)God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He appear, 41 (O)not to all the people, but to (P)witnesses who were chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us (Q)who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. 42 And He (R)commanded us to [e]preach to the people, and solemnly to (S)bear witness that this is the One who has been (T)designated by God as (U)Judge of the living and the dead. 43 Of Him (V)all the prophets bear witness that through (W)His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.”

Isaiah 65:17-25

New Heavens and a New Earth

17 “For behold, I am creating a (A)new heavens and a new earth;
And the (B)former things will not be remembered or come upon the heart.
18 But be (C)joyful and rejoice forever in what I create;
For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing
And her people for joy.
19 I will also (D)rejoice in Jerusalem and be joyful in My people;
And there will no longer be heard in her
The voice of (E)weeping and the voice of crying.
20 No longer will there be [a]in it an infant who lives but a few days,
Or an old man who does (F)not fulfill his days;
For the youth will die at the age of one hundred,
And the [b](G)one who does not reach the age of one hundred
Will be thought accursed.
21 They will (H)build houses and inhabit them;
They will also (I)plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 They will not build and (J)another inhabit;
They will not plant and another eat;
For (K)as the [c]lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people,
And My chosen ones will (L)wear out the work of their hands.
23 They will (M)not labor in vain,
Or bear children for terror;
For they are the (N)seed of those blessed by Yahweh,
And their offspring with them.

24 And it will be that before they call, I will (O)answer, and while they are still speaking, I will hear. 25 The (P)wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the (Q)lion will eat straw like the ox; and (R)dust will be the serpent’s food. They will (S)do no evil nor act corruptly in all My (T)holy mountain,” says Yahweh.

Psalm 118:1-2

Yahweh’s Lovingkindness Endures Forever

118 (A)Give thanks to Yahweh, for (B)He is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
Oh let (C)Israel say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”

Psalm 118:14-24

14 (A)Yah is my strength and song,
And He has become (B)my salvation.

15 The sound of (C)joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous;
The (D)right hand of Yahweh does valiantly.
16 The (E)right hand of Yahweh is exalted;
The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly.
17 I (F)will not die; indeed I will live,
And (G)recount the works of Yah.
18 Yah has (H)disciplined me severely,
But He has (I)not given me over to death.

19 (J)Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to Yah.
20 This is the gate of Yahweh;
The (K)righteous will enter through it.
21 I shall give thanks to You, for You have (L)answered me,
And You have (M)become my salvation.

22 The (N)stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.
23 This is from Yahweh;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which Yahweh has made;
Let us (O)rejoice and be glad in it.

1 Corinthians 15:19-26

19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are (A)of all men most to be pitied.

20 But now Christ (B)has been raised from the dead, the (C)first fruits of those who have (D)fallen asleep. 21 For since (E)by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For (F)as in Adam all die, so also in [a]Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ (G)the first fruits, after that (H)those who are Christ’s at (I)His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He hands over (J)the kingdom to the (K)God and Father, when He has abolished (L)all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign (M)until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy to be (N)abolished is death.

Acts 10:34-43

John 20:1-18

The Empty Tomb

20 (A)Now on the first day of the week, (B)Mary Magdalene *came early to the tomb, while it *was still dark, and *saw (C)the stone already taken away from the tomb. So she *ran and *came to Simon Peter and to the other (D)disciple whom Jesus loved, and *said to them, “(E)They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.” (F)So Peter and the other disciple went forth, and they were going to the tomb. And the two were running together; and the other disciple ran ahead faster than Peter and came to the tomb first; and (G)stooping and looking in, he *saw the (H)linen wrappings lying there; but he did not go in. And so Simon Peter also *came, following him, and entered the tomb; and he *saw the linen wrappings lying there, and (I)the face-cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the (J)linen wrappings, but folded up in a place by itself. So the other disciple who (K)had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. For as yet (L)they did not understand the Scripture, (M)that He must rise again from the dead. 10 So the disciples went away again (N)to where they were staying.

Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene

11 (O)But Mary was standing outside the tomb crying; and so, as she was crying, she (P)stooped to look into the tomb; 12 and she *saw (Q)two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying. 13 And they *said to her, “(R)Woman, why are you crying?” She *said to them, “Because (S)they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” 14 When she had said this, she turned around and *(T)saw Jesus standing there, and (U)did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus *said to her, (V)Woman, why are you crying? Whom are you seeking?” Thinking Him to be the gardener, she *said to Him, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” 16 Jesus *said to her, “Mary!” She turned and *said to Him (W)in [a]Hebrew, “(X)Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher). 17 Jesus *said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to (Y)My brothers and say to them, ‘I (Z)ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’” 18 (AA)Mary Magdalene *came, (AB)announcing to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and that He had said these things to her.

Luke 24:1-12

Jesus Is Risen!

24 (A)Now on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of (B)the Lord Jesus. And it happened that while they were perplexed about this, behold, (C)two men suddenly (D)stood near them in dazzling clothing, and when the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He (E)has [a]risen. Remember how He spoke to you (F)while He was still in Galilee, saying that (G)the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” And (H)they remembered His words, and when they returned from the tomb, they reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. 10 Now (I)Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the rest of the women with them were there; they were telling these things to (J)the apostles. 11 But these words appeared [b]to them as nonsense, and they (K)were not believing them. 12 But Peter stood up and (L)ran to the tomb; and stooping to look in, he *saw the linen wrappings [c]only. And he went away (M)by himself, marveling at what had happened.
