Version
Psalm 31:9-16

Be gracious to me, O Yahweh, for (A)I am in distress;
My (B)eye is wasted away from grief, (C)my soul and [a]my body also.
10 For my life is worn down with (D)sorrow
And my years with sighing;
My (E)strength fails because of my iniquity,
And (F)my bones waste away.
11 Among all my adversaries, I have become a (G)reproach,
Especially to my (H)neighbors,
And an object of dread to my acquaintances;
Those who see me in the street flee from me.
12 I am (I)forgotten like a dead man—out of [b]mind—
I am like a broken vessel.
13 For I have heard [c](J)the bad report of many,
(K)Terror is on every side;
While they (L)took counsel together against me,
They (M)schemed to take my life.

14 But as for me, I trust in You, O Yahweh,
I say, “(N)You are my God.”
15 My (O)times are in Your hand;
(P)Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who pursue me.
16 Make Your (Q)face to shine upon Your slave;
(R)Save me in Your lovingkindness.

Isaiah 53:10-12

10 But [a]Yahweh was pleased
To (A)crush Him, [b](B)putting Him to grief;
If You would place His soul as a guilt (C)offering,
He will see (D)His seed,
He will prolong His days,
And the [c]good (E)pleasure of Yahweh will succeed in His hand.
11 As a result of the [d]anguish of His soul,
He will (F)see [e]it and be satisfied;
By His (G)knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will [f]justify the many,
As He will (H)bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore, I will divide for Him a (I)portion with the many,
And He will divide the spoil with the strong;
Because He poured out (J)His soul to death,
And was (K)numbered with the transgressors;
Yet He Himself [g](L)bore the sin of many,
And interceded for the transgressors.

Hebrews 2:1-9

Warning Against Neglecting Salvation

For this reason we must pay much closer attention to [a]what we have heard, lest (A)we drift away. For if the word (B)spoken through (C)angels proved [b]unalterable, and (D)every trespass and disobedience received a just [c](E)penalty, (F)how will we escape if we neglect so great a (G)salvation? That salvation, first (H)spoken by the Lord, was (I)confirmed to us by those who heard, God also testifying with them, both by (J)signs and wonders and by (K)various [d]miracles and by [e](L)gifts of the Holy Spirit (M)according to His own will.

Jesus, the Author of Salvation

For He did not subject to angels [f](N)the world to come, concerning which we are speaking. But one has testified (O)somewhere, saying,

(P)What is man, that You remember him?
Or the son of man, that You are concerned about him?
(Q)You have made [g]him for a little while lower than the angels;
You have crowned him with glory and honor,
[h]And have appointed him over the works of Your hands;
(R)You have put all things in subjection under his feet.”

For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now (S)we do not yet see all things subjected to him. But we do see Him who was (T)made [i]for a little while lower than the angels—Jesus, (U)because of the suffering of death (V)crowned with glory and honor, so that (W)by the grace of God He might (X)taste death (Y)for everyone.
