Acts 3:12-19

12 [a]So when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so steadfastly on us, as though by our own power or godliness, we had made this man go?

13 The God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, the (A)God of our fathers hath glorified his Son Jesus, whom ye betrayed, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had judged him to be delivered.

14 But ye denied the Holy one and the just, and desired a murderer to be given you,

15 And killed the Lord [b]of life, whom God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his Name hath made this man sound, whom ye see and know, through faith in his Name: [c]and the faith which is by him, hath given to him this perfect health of his whole body in the presence of you all.

17 [d]And now brethren, I know that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your governors.

18 But those things, which God before had showed [e]by the mouth of all his Prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath thus fulfilled.

19 Amend your lives therefore, and turn, that your sins may be put away, when the time of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Psalm 4

When Saul persecuted him, he called upon God, trusting most assuredly in his promise, and therefore boldly reproveth his enemies, who willfully resisted his dominion, 7 and finally preferreth the favor of God before all worldly treasures.

[a]To him that excelleth on Neginoth. A Psalm of David.

Hear me when I call, [b]O God of my righteousness: thou hast set me at liberty, when I was in [c]distress: have mercy upon me, and hearken unto my prayer.

O ye [d]sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame, [e]loving vanity, and seeking lies? Selah.

For be ye sure that the Lord hath chosen to himself [f]a godly man, the Lord will hear when I call unto him.

[g]Tremble and sin not: examine your own heart upon your bed, and be [h]still. Selah.

[i]Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in the Lord.

Many say, Who will show us any [j]good? but Lord, lift up the light of thy countenance upon us.

Thou hast given me more joy of heart, than they have had, when their wheat and their wine did abound.

I will lay me down, and also sleep in peace: for thou, [k]Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

1 John 3:1-7

1 Setting down the inestimable glory of this that we are God’s sons, 7 he showeth that newness of life must be testifieth by good works, whereof charity is a manifest token. 19 Of faith,  22 and praying unto God.

Behold, [a][b]what love the Father hath given to us, that we should be [c]called the sons of God: [d]For this cause this world knoweth you not, because it knoweth not him.

[e]Dearly beloved, now are we the sons of God, but yet it is not made manifest what we shall be: and we know that when he shall be made manifest: we shall be [f]like him: for we shall see him [g]as he is.

[h]And every man that hath this hope in him purgeth himself, even [i]as he is pure.

[j]Whosoever [k]commiteth sin, transgresseth also the Law: for [l]sin is the transgression of the Law.

[m]And ye know that he was made manifest, that he might (A)take away our sins, and in him is no sin.

Whosoever abideth in him, sinneth not: whosoever [n]sinneth, hath not seen him, neither hath known him.

[o]Little children, let no man deceive you, he that doeth righteousness, is righteous, as he is righteous.

Luke 24:36-48

36 (A)[a]And as they spake these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and said unto them, Peace be to you.

37 But they were abashed and afraid, supposing that they had seen a spirit.

38 Then he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore do [b]doubts arise in your hearts?

39 Behold mine hands and my feet: for it is I myself: handle me, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40 And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and feet.

41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb,

43 And he took it, and did eat before them.

44 [c]And he said unto them, These are the words, which I spake unto you while I was yet with you, that all must be fulfilled which are written of me in the Law of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalms.

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures,

46 And said unto them, Thus is it written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise again from the dead the third day,

47 And that repentance, and remission of sins should be preached in his Name among all nations, [d]beginning at Jerusalem.

48 Now ye are witnesses of these things.
