Psalm 100

Psalm 100[a]

A thanksgiving psalm.

100 Shout out praises to the Lord, all the earth!
Worship[b] the Lord with joy.
Enter his presence with joyful singing.
Acknowledge that the Lord is God.
He made us and we belong to him,[c]
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise.
Give him thanks.
Praise his name.
For the Lord is good.
His loyal love endures,[d]
and he is faithful through all generations.[e]

Ezekiel 34:25-31

25 “‘I will make a covenant of peace with them and will rid the land of wild beasts, so that they can live securely[a] in the wilderness and even sleep in the woods.[b] 26 I will turn them and the regions around my hill into a blessing. I will make showers come down in their season; they will be showers that bring blessing.[c] 27 The trees of the field will yield their fruit and the earth will yield its crops. They will live securely on their land; they will know that I am the Lord, when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the hand of those who enslaved them. 28 They will no longer be prey for the nations, and the wild beasts will not devour them. They will live securely, and no one will make them afraid. 29 I will prepare for them a healthy[d] planting. They will no longer be victims[e] of famine in the land and will no longer bear the insults of the nations. 30 Then they will know that I, the Lord their God, am with them,[f] and that they are my people, the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign Lord.[g] 31 And you, my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are my people,[h] and I am your God, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

Matthew 12:46-50

Jesus’ True Family

46 While Jesus[a] was still speaking to the crowds,[b] his mother and brothers[c] came and stood outside, asking[d] to speak to him. 47 [e] Someone[f] told him, “Look, your mother and your brothers are standing outside wanting[g] to speak to you.” 48 To the one who had said this, Jesus[h] replied,[i] “Who is my mother and who are my brothers?” 49 And pointing[j] toward his disciples he said, “Here[k] are my mother and my brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is[l] my brother and sister and mother.”
