Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
Remember His Holy Name
97 (A)Yahweh [a]reigns, let the (B)earth rejoice;
Let the many (C)coastlands be glad.
2 (D)Clouds and thick darkness are all around Him;
(E)Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
3 (F)Fire goes before Him
And (G)burns up His adversaries all around.
4 His (H)lightnings light up the world;
The earth sees and (I)trembles.
5 The mountains (J)melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh,
At the presence of the (K)Lord of all the earth.
6 The (L)heavens declare His righteousness,
And (M)all the peoples see His glory.
7 Let all those be ashamed who serve (N)graven images,
Who boast of (O)idols;
[b](P)Worship Him, all you [c]gods!
8 Zion [d]heard this and (Q)was glad,
And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced
Because of Your judgments, O Yahweh.
9 For You are Yahweh (R)Most High over all the earth;
You are exalted far (S)above all [e]gods.
10 (T)Hate evil, you who love Yahweh,
Who (U)keeps the souls of His holy ones;
He (V)delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 (W)Light is sown for the righteous
And (X)gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Be (Y)glad in Yahweh, you righteous ones,
And (Z)give thanks for the remembrance of [f]His holy name.
Moses and the Tent of Meeting
33 Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, “Go! Go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought up from the land of Egypt, to the land of which (A)I swore to Abraham, (B)to Isaac, and (C)to Jacob, saying, ‘(D)To your seed I will give it.’ 2 And I will send (E)an angel before you, and (F)I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. 3 Go up to a land (G)flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst because you are (H)a stiff-necked people, lest (I)I consume you on the way.”
4 Then the people heard this [a]sad word and (J)went into mourning; and none of them put on his ornaments. 5 So Yahweh said to Moses, “Say to the sons of Israel, ‘You are (K)a stiff-necked people; should I go up in your midst for one moment, I would consume you. So now, put off your ornaments from you, that I may know what I shall do with you.’” 6 So the sons of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments, from Mount Horeb onward.
13 Brothers, I do not consider myself as having laid hold of it yet, but one thing I do: (A)forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I (B)press on toward the goal for the prize of the (C)upward call of God in (D)Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as are [a](E)perfect, think this way; and if in anything you (F)think differently, (G)God will reveal that also to you. 16 However, let us keep [b](H)walking in step with the same standard to which we have attained.
17 Brothers, (I)join in following my example, and (J)look for those who walk according to the (K)pattern you have in us. 18 For (L)many walk—of whom I often told you, and now tell you even (M)crying—as enemies of (N)the cross of Christ, 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their (O)stomach and (P)glory is in their shame, who (Q)set their thoughts on earthly things. 20 For (R)our [c]citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly (S)wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will (T)transform [d]the body of our humble state into (U)conformity with [e]the (V)body of His glory, (W)by His working through which He is able to even (X)subject all things to Himself.
Rejoice in the Lord Always
4 Therefore my brothers, loved and (Y)longed for, my joy and crown, in this way (Z)stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.
