Psalm 80:1-7

God Implored to Rescue His People from Their Calamities.

For the choir director; set to [a]El Shoshannim; [b]Eduth. A Psalm of Asaph.

80 Oh, give ear, (A)Shepherd of Israel,
You who lead (B)Joseph like a flock;
You who (C)are enthroned above the cherubim, shine forth!
Before (D)Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, (E)stir up Your power
And come to save us!
O God, (F)restore us
And (G)cause Your face to shine upon us, [c]and we will be saved.

O (H)Lord God of hosts,
(I)How long will You [d]be angry with the prayer of Your people?
You have fed them with the (J)bread of tears,
And You have made them to drink tears in [e]large measure.
You make us [f]an object of contention (K)to our neighbors,
And our enemies laugh among themselves.
O God of hosts, restore us
And cause Your face to shine upon us, [g]and we will be saved.

Psalm 80:17-19

17 Let (A)Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand,
Upon the son of man whom You (B)made strong for Yourself.
18 Then we shall not (C)turn back from You;
(D)Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.
19 O Lord God of hosts, (E)restore us;
Cause Your face to shine upon us, [a]and we will be saved.

2 Samuel 7:23-29

23 And (A)what one nation on the earth is like Your people Israel, whom God went to redeem for Himself as a people and to make a name for Himself, and (B)to do a great thing for You and awesome things for Your land, before (C)Your people whom (D)You have redeemed for Yourself from Egypt, from nations and their gods? 24 For (E)You have established for Yourself Your people Israel as Your own people forever, and (F)You, O Lord, have become their God. 25 Now therefore, O Lord God, the word that You have spoken concerning Your servant and his house, confirm it forever, and do as You have spoken, 26 (G)that Your name may be magnified forever, by saying, ‘The Lord of hosts is God over Israel’; and may the house of Your servant David be established before You. 27 For You, O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have [a]made a revelation to Your servant, saying, ‘(H)I will build you a house’; therefore Your servant has found [b]courage to pray this prayer to You. 28 Now, O Lord God, You are God, and (I)Your words are truth, and You have [c]promised this good thing to Your servant. 29 Now therefore, may it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You. For You, O Lord God, have spoken; and (J)with Your blessing may the house of Your servant be blessed forever.”

John 3:31-36

31 (A)He who comes from above is above all, (B)he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. (C)He who comes from heaven is above all. 32 What He has seen and heard, of that He (D)testifies; and (E)no one receives His testimony. 33 He who has received His testimony (F)has set his seal to this, that God is true. 34 For He whom God has (G)sent speaks the words of God; [a](H)for He gives the Spirit without measure. 35 (I)The Father loves the Son and (J)has given all things into His hand. 36 He who (K)believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who (L)does not [b]obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
