Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
GIMEL
17 Be beneficial unto thy servant, that I may [a]live and keep thy word.
18 Open mine eyes, that I may see the wonders of thy Law.
19 I am a [b]stranger upon earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
20 Mine heart breaketh for the desire to thy judgments always.
21 Thou [c]hast destroyed the proud: cursed are they that do err from thy commandments.
22 Remove from me shame and contempt: for I have kept thy testimonies.
23 [d]Princes also did sit, and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
24 Also thy testimonies are my delight, and my counselors.
DALETH
25 My soul cleaveth to the [e]dust: quicken me according to thy word.
26 I have [f]declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.
27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts, and I will meditate in thy wondrous works.
28 My soul melteth for heaviness: raise me up according to thy [g]word.
29 Take from me the [h]way of lying, and grant me graciously thy Law.
30 I have chosen the way of truth, and thy judgments have I laid before me.
31 I have cleaved to thy testimonies, O Lord: confound me not.
32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou [i]shalt enlarge mine heart.
5 And the Lord God of hosts shall touch the land, and it shall melt away, and all that dwell therein shall mourn, and it shall rise up wholly like a flood, and shall be drowned as by the flood of Egypt.
6 He buildeth his [a]spheres in the heaven, and hath laid the foundation of his globe of elements in the earth: he calleth the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the open earth: the Lord is his Name.
7 Are ye not as the Ethiopians [b]unto me, O children of Israel, saith the Lord? have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from [c]Caphtor, and Aram from Kir?
8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it clean out of the earth. Nevertheless I will not utterly [d]destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord.
9 For lo, I will command and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve: yet shall not the [e]least stone fall upon the earth.
10 But all the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not come, nor hasten for us.
11 In that day will I raise up the [f]Tabernacle of David, that is fallen down, and close up the breaches thereof, and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it, as in the days of old,
12 That they may possess the remnant of [g]Edom, and of all the heathen, because my Name is called upon them, saith the Lord, that doeth this.
13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall [h]touch the mower, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed: and the mountains shall [i]drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
14 [j]And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel: and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof: they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruits of them.
15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up again out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.
41 [a]The Jews then murmured at him because he said, I am that bread, which is come down from heaven.
42 And they said, (A)Is not this Jesus that son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how then saith he, I came down from heaven?
43 Jesus then answered, and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44 No man can come to me, except the Father, which hath sent me, draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the (B)[b]Prophets, And they shall be all [c]taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me:
46 (C)Not that any man hath seen the Father, [d]save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
47 Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth in me, hath everlasting life.
48 [e]I am that bread of life.
49 (D)Your fathers did eat Manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 [f]This is that bread, which cometh down from heaven, that he which eateth of it, should not die.
51 [g]I am that [h]living bread, which came down from heaven: if any man [i]eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
