ヨハネ 1:1-9
イエス、神の永遠のことば
1 初めに、地球が創られる前から、
ことばはそこにいた。
ことばは神と共にあり、
ことばは神であった。
2 彼はそこに初めから、神と共にいた。
3 彼を通して、全てのものは創られた。
神の創造の全てに、彼なしに創られたものは何もない。
4 彼の中にはいのちがあり、
そのいのちは、全ての人にとっての光だった。
5 光は暗闇の中で輝き、
闇はこれを打ち負かしてはいない。
6 神に遣わされた人にヨハネという男がいた。 7 彼は光について人々に伝えるために来た。目的は、ヨハネを通して全ての人が光である方について聞き、彼を信じることだった。 8 光はヨハネではない。しかし、ヨハネは人々に光のことを伝えるために来た。
9 本当の光、
全ての人に光をもたらす者は、世界にその姿を現そうとしている。
