New English Translation (NET)
Version
Psalm 150

Psalm 150[a]

150 Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in the sky, which testifies to his strength![b]
Praise him for his mighty acts;
praise him for his surpassing greatness!
Praise him with the blast of the horn;
praise him with the lyre and the harp!
Praise him with the tambourine and with dancing;
praise him with stringed instruments and the flute!
Praise him with loud cymbals;
praise him with clanging cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

Hosea 5:15-6:6

15 Then I will return again to my lair
until they have suffered their punishment.[a]
Then they will seek me;[b]
in their distress they will earnestly seek me.

Superficial Repentance Breeds False Assurance of God’s Forgiveness

Come on! Let’s return to the Lord.
He himself has torn us to pieces,
but he will heal us!
He has injured[c] us,
but he will bandage our wounds!
He will restore[d] us in a very short time;[e]
he will heal us in a little while,[f]
so that we may live in his presence.
So let us search for him![g]
Let us seek[h] to know the Lord!
He will come to our rescue as certainly as the appearance of the dawn,
as certainly as the winter rain comes,
as certainly as the spring rain that waters the land.

Transitory Faithfulness and Imminent Judgment

What am I going to do with you, O Ephraim?
What am I going to do with you, O Judah?
For[i] your faithfulness is as fleeting as the morning mist;[j]
it disappears as quickly as dawn’s dew.[k]
Therefore, I will certainly cut[l] you into pieces at the hands of the prophets;[m]
I will certainly kill you[n] in fulfillment of my oracles of judgment,[o]
for[p] my judgment[q] will come forth like the light of the dawn.[r]
For I delight in faithfulness, not simply in sacrifice;
I delight[s] in acknowledging God, not simply in whole burnt offerings.[t]

2 John 1-6

Introduction and Thanksgiving

From[a] the elder,[b] to an elect lady[c] and her children, whom I love in truth[d] (and not I alone, but also all those[e] who know the truth), because of the truth[f] that resides in us and will be with us forever. Grace, mercy, and[g] peace will be with us from God the Father and from[h] Jesus Christ the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

I rejoiced greatly because I have found some[i] of your children living according to the truth,[j] just as the Father commanded us.[k]

Warning Against False Teachers

But now[l] I ask you, lady (not as if I were[m] writing a new commandment[n] to you, but the one[o] we have had from the beginning),[p] that[q] we love one another. (Now this is love: that we walk[r] according to his commandments.) This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning; thus[s] you should walk in it.[t]
