New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB1995)
Version
Psalm 19:7-14

(A)The law of the Lord is [a](B)perfect, (C)restoring the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is (D)sure, making (E)wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are (F)right, (G)rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is (H)pure, (I)enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are (J)true; they are (K)righteous altogether.
10 They are more desirable than (L)gold, yes, than much fine gold;
(M)Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, by them (N)Your servant is warned;
In keeping them there is great (O)reward.
12 Who can (P)discern his errors? (Q)Acquit me of (R)hidden faults.
13 Also keep back Your servant (S)from presumptuous sins;
Let them not (T)rule over me;
Then I will be [b](U)blameless,
And I shall be acquitted of (V)great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and (W)the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, (X)my rock and my (Y)Redeemer.

Deuteronomy 27:1-10

The Curses of Mount Ebal

27 Then Moses and the elders of Israel charged the people, saying, “Keep all the commandments which I command you today. (A)So it shall be on the day when you cross the Jordan to the land which the Lord your God gives you, that you shall set up for yourself large stones and coat them with lime and write on them all the words of this law, when you cross over, so that you may enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, (B)a land flowing with milk and honey, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, [a]promised you. So it shall be when you cross the Jordan, you shall set up (C)on Mount Ebal, these stones, [b]as I am commanding you today, and you shall coat them with lime. Moreover, you shall build there an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones; you (D)shall not [c]wield an iron tool on them. You shall build the altar of the Lord your God of [d]uncut stones, and you shall offer on it burnt offerings to the Lord your God; and you shall sacrifice peace offerings and eat there, and (E)rejoice before the Lord your God. You shall write on the [e]stones all the words of this law very distinctly.”

Then Moses and the Levitical priests spoke to all Israel, saying, “Be silent and listen, O Israel! This day you have become a people for the Lord your God. 10 You shall therefore [f]obey the Lord your God, and do His commandments and His statutes which I command you today.”

Matthew 5:13-20

Disciples and the World

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but (A)if the salt has become tasteless, how [a]can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.

14 “You are (B)the light of the world. A city set on a [b]hill cannot be hidden; 15 (C)nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a [c]basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may (D)see your good works, and (E)glorify your Father who is in heaven.

17 “Do not think that I came to abolish the (F)Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. 18 For truly I say to you, (G)until heaven and earth pass away, not [d]the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches [e]others to do the same, shall be called least (H)in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever [f]keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 “For I say to you that unless your (I)righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
