Psalm 80:1-7

Restore Us, O God

To the choirmaster: according to (A)Lilies. A Testimony. Of (B)Asaph, a Psalm.

80 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel,
    you who lead (C)Joseph like (D)a flock.
You who are (E)enthroned upon the cherubim, (F)shine forth.
    Before (G)Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh,
(H)stir up your might
    and (I)come to save us!

(J)Restore us,[a] O God;
    (K)let your face shine, that we may be saved!

O (L)Lord God of hosts,
    (M)how long will you be angry with your people's prayers?
You have fed them with (N)the bread of tears
    and given them tears to drink in full measure.
(O)You make us an object of contention for our (P)neighbors,
    and our enemies laugh among themselves.

(Q)Restore us, O God of hosts;
    let your face shine, that we may be saved!

Jeremiah 31:31-34

The New Covenant

31 (A)“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make (B)a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when (C)I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, (D)though I was their husband, declares the Lord. 33 (E)For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: (F)I will put my law within them, and I will write it (G)on their hearts. (H)And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ (I)for they shall all know me, (J)from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For (K)I will forgive their iniquity, and (L)I will remember their sin no more.”

Hebrews 10:10-18

10 And by that will (A)we have been sanctified through the offering of (B)the body of Jesus Christ (C)once for all.

11 And every priest stands (D)daily at his service, (E)offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, (F)which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ[a] had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he (G)sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time (H)until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering (I)he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

15 And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying,

16 (J)“This is the covenant that I will make with them
    after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws on their hearts,
    and write them on their minds,”

17 then he adds,

(K)“I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”

18 Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.
