44 While Peter was still speaking these words, (A)the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the [a]message. 45 (B)All the [b]Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had also been (C)poured out on the Gentiles. 46 For they were hearing them (D)speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter responded, 47 “(E)Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized, who (F)have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?” 48 And he (G)ordered them to be baptized (H)in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days.

98 Sing a (A)new song to the Lord,
For He has done (B)wonderful things,
His (C)right hand and His (D)holy arm have [a]gained the victory for Him.
2 (E)The Lord has made His salvation known;
He has (F)revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations.
3 He has (G)remembered His graciousness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
(H)All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Overcoming the World
5 (A)Everyone who believes that Jesus is the [a]Christ has been (B)born of God, and everyone who loves the [b]Father (C)loves the child born of Him. 2 (D)By this we know that (E)we love the children of God, when we love God and [c]follow His commandments. 3 For (F)this is the love of God, that we (G)keep His commandments; and (H)His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For [d]whoever has been (I)born of God (J)overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
5 Who is the one who overcomes the world, but the one who (K)believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 6 This is the One who came (L)by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not [e]with the water only, but [f]with the water and [g]with the blood. It is (M)the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
9 Just as (A)the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; remain in My love. 10 (B)If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as (C)I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. 11 (D)These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your (E)joy may be made full.

12 “This is (F)My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. 13 (G)Greater love has no one than this, that a person will (H)lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are My (I)friends if (J)you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because (K)all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 (L)You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and (M)bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that (N)whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. 17 This (O)I command you, that you love one another.
