Psalm 80:1-7

Restore Us, O God

To the choirmaster: according to (A)Lilies. A Testimony. Of (B)Asaph, a Psalm.

80 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel,
    you who lead (C)Joseph like (D)a flock!
You who are (E)enthroned upon the cherubim, (F)shine forth.
    Before (G)Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh,
(H)stir up your might
    and (I)come to save us!
(J)Restore us,[a] O God;
    (K)let your face shine, that we may be saved!
O (L)Lord God of hosts,
    (M)how long will you be angry with your people's prayers?
You have fed them with (N)the bread of tears
    and given them tears to drink in full measure.
(O)You make us an object of contention for our (P)neighbours,
    and our enemies laugh among themselves.
(Q)Restore us, O God of hosts;
    let your face shine, that we may be saved!

Psalm 80:17-19

17 But (A)let your hand be on the man of your right hand,
    the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself!
18 Then we shall not turn back from you;
    (B)give us life, and we will call upon your name!
19 (C)Restore us, O Lord God of hosts!
    Let your face shine, that we may be saved!

Zechariah 13

13 (A)“On that day there shall be (B)a fountain opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and uncleanness.

Idolatry Cut Off

“And (C)on that day, declares the Lord of hosts, (D)I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, so that (E)they shall be remembered no more. And also (F)I will remove from the land the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness. And if anyone again prophesies, his father and mother who bore him will say to him, (G)‘You shall not live, for you speak lies in the name of the Lord.’ And his father and mother who bore him shall pierce him through when he prophesies.

“On that day (H)every prophet will be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies. He will not put on a hairy cloak in order to deceive, but he will say, (I)‘I am no prophet, I am a worker of the soil, for a man sold me in my youth.’[a] And if one asks him, ‘What are these wounds on your back?’[b] he will say, ‘The wounds I received in the house of my friends.’

The Shepherd Struck

“Awake, O sword, against (J)my shepherd,
    against the man who stands next to me,”
declares the Lord of hosts.
(K)“Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered;
    I will turn my hand against the little ones.
In the whole land, declares the Lord,
    two thirds shall be cut off and perish,
    (L)and one third shall be left alive.
And (M)I will put this third into the fire,
    and refine them as one refines silver,
    and test them as gold is tested.
(N)They will call upon my name,
    and (O)I will answer them.
(P)I will say, ‘They are my people’;
    and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”

Revelation 14:6-13

The Messages of the Three Angels

Then I saw another angel (A)flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to (B)those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. And he said with a loud voice, (C)“Fear God and (D)give him glory, because the hour of his judgement has come, and (E)worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the (F)springs of water.”

Another angel, a second, followed, saying, (G)“Fallen, fallen is (H)Babylon the great, (I)she who made all nations drink (J)the wine of the passion[a] of her sexual immorality.”

And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone (K)worships the beast and its image and receives (L)a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink (M)the wine of God's wrath, (N)poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and (O)he will be tormented with fire and sulphur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And (P)the smoke of their torment goes up for ever and ever, and (Q)they have no rest, day or night, these (R)worshippers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”

12 (S)Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who (T)keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.[b]

13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: (U)Blessed are the dead (V)who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, (W)“that they may rest from their labours, for their deeds follow them!”
