Psalm 85:1-2

Turn Us Back, O God

For the choir director. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.

85 O Yahweh, You showed (A)favor to Your land;
You [a](B)returned the fortunes of Jacob.
You (C)forgave the iniquity of Your people;
You (D)covered all their sin. [b]Selah.

Psalm 85:8-13

Let me hear what the God, Yahweh, will speak;
For He will (A)speak peace to His people, [a]to His holy ones;
But let them not (B)turn back to [b]folly.
Surely (C)His salvation is near to those who [c]fear Him,
That (D)glory may dwell in our land.
10 (E)Lovingkindness and [d]truth have met together;
(F)Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
11 [e]Truth (G)springs up from the earth,
And righteousness looks down from heaven.
12 Indeed, (H)Yahweh will give what is good,
And our (I)land will yield its produce.
13 (J)Righteousness will go before Him
And will establish the way of His steps.

Hosea 6:1-6

Israel Chastised

(A)Come, let us return to Yahweh.
For (B)He has torn us, but (C)He will heal us;
He has struck us, but He will (D)bandage us.
He will (E)make us alive after two days;
He will (F)raise us up on the third day,
That we may live before Him.
So let us (G)know, let us pursue to know Yahweh.
His (H)going forth is established as the dawn;
And He will come to us like the (I)rain,
Like the [a]late rain watering the earth.”

What shall I do with you, O (J)Ephraim?
What shall I do with you, O Judah?
For your lovingkindness is like a (K)morning cloud
And like the dew which goes away early.
Therefore I have (L)hewn them in pieces by the prophets;
I have killed them by the (M)words of My mouth;
And the judgments on you are like the light that goes forth.
For (N)I delight in lovingkindness (O)rather than sacrifice,
And in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

1 Thessalonians 1:2-10

(A)We give thanks to God always for all of you, (B)making mention of you in our prayers; remembering without ceasing your (C)work of faith and labor of (D)love and [a](E)steadfastness of hope [b]in our Lord Jesus Christ before (F)our God and Father, knowing, (G)brothers beloved by God, (H)your election, for our (I)gospel did not come to you in word only, but also (J)in power and in the Holy Spirit and with (K)full assurance; just as you know (L)what kind of men we [c]proved to be among you for your sake. You also became (M)imitators of us and of the Lord, (N)having received (O)the word in much affliction with the (P)joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became a model to all the believers in (Q)Macedonia and in (R)Achaia. For (S)the word of the Lord has (T)sounded forth from you, not only in (U)Macedonia and (V)Achaia, but also (W)in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything. For they themselves report about us what kind of an (X)entrance we had [d]with you, and how you (Y)turned to God (Z)from [e]idols to serve [f](AA)a living and true God, 10 and to (AB)wait for His Son from [g]heaven, whom He (AC)raised from the dead, Jesus, who (AD)rescues us from (AE)the wrath to come.
