³⁴ When He killed them, then they ^(A)sought Him,
And returned and sought ^(B)earnestly for God;
³⁵ And they remembered that God was their ^(C)rock,
And the Most High God their ^(D)Redeemer.
³⁶ But they ^(E)deceived Him with their mouth
And ^(F)lied to Him with their tongue.
³⁷ For their heart was not ^(G)prepared to remain with Him,
Nor were they faithful in His covenant.
