Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
97 O how I love Thy law! It is my meditation all the day.
98 Thou, through Thy commandments, hast made me wiser than mine enemies; for Thy commands are ever with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Thy testimonies are my meditation.
100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Thy precepts.
101 I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep Thy word.
102 I have not departed from Thy judgments, for Thou hast taught me.
103 How sweet are Thy words unto my taste, yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 Through Thy precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.
12 “These are the statutes and judgments which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the Lord God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains and upon the hills and under every green tree.
3 And ye shall overthrow their altars and break their pillars and burn their Asherah poles with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods and destroy the names of them out of that place.
4 Ye shall not do so unto the Lord your God.
5 But unto the place which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put His name there, even unto His habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come.
6 And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks.
7 And there ye shall eat before the Lord your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the Lord thy God hath blessed thee.
8 Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever being right in his own eyes.
9 For ye have not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance which the Lord your God giveth you.
10 But when ye go over the Jordan and dwell in the land which the Lord your God giveth you to inherit, and when He giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety,
11 then there shall be a place which the Lord your God shall choose to cause His name to dwell there. Thither shall ye bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the Lord.
12 And ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite who is within your gates, forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.
41 The Jews then murmured at Him, because He said, “I am the Bread which came down from Heaven.”
42 And they said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that he saith, ‘I came down from Heaven’?”
43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, “Murmur not among yourselves.
44 No man can come to Me unless the Father who hath sent Me draw him; and I will raise him up at the Last Day.
45 It is written in the Prophets: ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Every man therefore that hath heard and hath learned from the Father cometh unto Me.
46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save He that is of God; He hath seen the Father.
47 Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth in Me hath everlasting life.
48 I am that Bread of Life.
49 Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the Bread which cometh down from Heaven, that a man may eat thereof and not die.
51 I am the living Bread which came down from Heaven. If any man eat of this Bread, he shall live for ever; and the Bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
