5 Unto the end, for her that obtaineth the inheritance. A psalm of David.

² Give ear, O Lord, to my words, understand my cry.

³ Hearken to the voice of my prayer, O my King and my God.

⁴ For to thee will I pray: O Lord, in the morning thou shalt hear my voice.

⁵ In the morning I will stand before thee, and will see: because thou art not a God that willest iniquity.

⁶ Neither shall the wicked dwell near thee: nor shall the unjust abide before thy eyes.

⁷ Thou hatest all the workers of iniquity: Thou wilt destroy all that speak a lie. The bloody and the deceitful man the Lord will abhor.

⁸ But as for me in the multitude of thy mercy, I will come into thy house; I will worship towards thy holy temple, in thy fear.

⁹ Conduct me, O Lord, in thy justice: because of my enemies, direct my way in thy sight.

¹⁰ For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain.

¹¹ Their throat is an open sepulchre: they dealt deceitfully with their tongues: judge them, O God. Let them fall from their devices: according to the multitude of their wickedness cast them out: for they have provoked thee, O Lord.

¹² But let all them be glad that hope in thee: they shall rejoice for ever, and thou shalt dwell in them. And all they that love thy name shall glory in thee:

¹³ For thou wilt bless the just. O Lord, thou hast crowned us, as with a shield of thy good will.

¹⁸ And the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying:

¹⁹ Thus saith the Lord of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth shall be to the house of Juda, joy, and gladness, and great solemnities: only love ye truth and peace.

²⁰ Thus saith the Lord of hosts, until people come, and dwell in many cities,

²¹ And the inhabitants go one to another, saying: Let us go, and entreat the face of the Lord, and let us seek the Lord of hosts: I also will go.

²² And many peoples, and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the face of the Lord.

²³ Thus saith the Lord of hosts: In those days, wherein ten men of all languages of the Gentiles shall take hold, and shall hold fast the shirt of one that is a Jew, saying: We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

¹⁸ Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that Antichrist cometh, even now there are become many Antichrists: whereby we know that it is the last hour.

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us. For if they had been of us, they would no doubt have remained with us; but that they may be manifest, that they are not all of us.

²⁰ But you have the unction from the Holy One, and know all things.

²¹ I have not written to you as to them that know not the truth, but as to them that know it: and that no lie is of the truth.

²² Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father, and the Son.

²³ Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father. He that confesseth the Son, hath the Father also.

²⁴ As for you, let that which you have heard from the beginning, abide in you. If that abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning, you also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father.

²⁵ And this is the promise which he hath promised us, life everlasting.
