Psalm 107:1-3

107 1 The Prophet exhorteth all those that are redeemed by the Lord and gathered unto him, to give thanks, 9 for this merciful providence of God governing all things at his good pleasures, 20 sending good and evil, prosperity and adversity to bring men unto him. 42 Therefore as the righteous thereat rejoice, so shall the wicked have their mouth stopped.

Praise [a]the Lord, because he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.

Let them, [b]which have been redeemed of the Lord, show how he hath delivered them from the hand of the oppressor,

And gathered them out of the lands, from the East and from the West, from the North and from the [c]South.

Psalm 107:23-32

23 They that go down to the [a]sea in ships, and occupy by the great waters,

24 They see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.

25 For he commandeth and raiseth the stormy wind, and it lifteth up the waves thereof.

26 They mount up to the heaven, and descend to the deep, so that their soul [b]melteth for trouble.

27 They are tossed to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and all their [c]cunning is gone.

28 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distress.

29 He turneth the storm to calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

30 When they are [d]quieted, they are glad, and he bringeth them unto the haven, where they would be.

31 Let them therefore confess before the Lord his loving kindness, and his wonderful works before the sons of men.

32 And let them exalt him in the [e]congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the Elders.

Job 37:1-13

37 1 Elihu proveth that the unsearchable wisdom of God is manifest by his works. 4 As by the thunders. 6 The snow. 9 The whirlwind. 11 And the rain.

At this also mine heart is [a]astonied, and is moved out of his place.

Hear the [b]sound of his voice, and the noise that goeth out of his mouth.

He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his light unto the ends of the world.

After it a noise soundeth: he thundereth with the voice of his majesty, and he will not stay [c]them when his voice is heard.

God thundereth marvelously with his voice: he worketh great things, which we know not.

For he saith to the snow, Be thou upon the earth [d]likewise to the small rain and to the great rain of his power.

With the force thereof he [e]shutteth up every man, that all men may know his work.

Then the beasts go into the den, and remain in their places.

The whirlwind cometh out of the South, and the cold from the [f]North wind.

10 At the breath of God the frost is given, and the breadth of the waters [g]is made narrow.

11 He maketh also the clouds to [h]labor, to water the earth, and scattereth the cloud of [i]his light.

12 And it is turned about by his government, that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the whole world:

13 Whether it be for [j]punishment, or for his land, or of mercy, he causeth it to come.

Luke 21:25-28

25 (A)[a]Then there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars, and upon the earth trouble among the nations, with perplexity: the sea and the waters shall roar.

26 [b]And men’s hearts shall fail them for fear and for looking after those things which shall come on the world: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27 And then shall they see the Son of man come in a cloud, with power and great glory.

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads: (B)for your redemption draweth near.
