Ezekiel 17:22-24

22 Thus saith the Lord God, I will also take off the top[a]of this high cedar, and will set it, and cut off the [b]top of the tender plant thereof, and I will plant it upon an high mountain and great.

23 Even in the high mountain of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be an excellent cedar, and under it shall remain all birds, and every [c]fowl shall dwell in the shadow of the branches thereof.

24 And all the [d]trees of the field shall know that I the Lord have brought down the high tree, and exalted the low tree: that I have dried up the green tree, and made the dry tree to flourish: I the Lord have spoken it, and have done it.

Psalm 92:1-4

92 1 This Psalm was made to be sung on the Sabbath, to stir up the people to acknowledge God, and to praise him in his works: the Prophet rejoiceth therein. 6 But the wicked is not able to consider, that the ungodly, when he is most flourishing, shall most speedily perish. 12 In the end is described the felicity of the just, planted in the house of God to praise the Lord.

A Psalm or song for the [a]Sabbath day.

It is a good thing to praise the Lord, and to sing unto thy Name, O most High,

To declare thy loving kindness in the [b]morning, and thy truth in the night,

Upon an [c]instrument of ten strings, and upon the viol, with the song upon the harp.

For thou Lord, hast made me glad by thy [d]works, and I will rejoice in the works of thine hands.

Psalm 92:12-15

12 The righteous shall [a]flourish like a palm tree, and shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 Such as be planted in the house of the Lord, shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 They shall still bring forth fruit in their [b]age: they shall be fat and flourishing,

15 To declare that the Lord my rock is righteous, and that none iniquity is in him.

2 Corinthians 5:6-10

[a]Therefore we are always [b]bold, though we know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord.

(For we walk by [c]faith, and not by sight.)

Nevertheless, we are [d]bold, and love rather to remove out of the body, and to dwell with the Lord.

Wherefore also we [e]covet, that both dwelling at home, and removing from home, we may be acceptable to him.

10 (A)[f]For we must all [g]appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that every man may receive the things which are done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or evil.

2 Corinthians 5:11-13

11 [a]Knowing therefore that [b]terror of the Lord, we persuade men, and we are made manifest unto God, and I trust also that we are made manifest in your consciences.

12 [c]For we praise not ourselves again unto you, but give you an occasion to rejoice of us that ye may have to answer against them, which rejoice in the [d]face, and not in the heart.

13 [e]For whether we be out of our wit, we are it to God: or whether we be in our right mind, we are it unto you.

2 Corinthians 5:14-17

14 [a]For that love of Christ [b]constraineth us,

15 Because we thus judge, that if [c]one be dead for all, then were all dead, and he died for all, that they which live, should not henceforth [d]live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

16 [e]Wherefore, henceforth know we no man after the flesh, [f]yea though we had known Christ after the flesh, yet not henceforth know we him no more.

17 [g]Therefore if any man be in Christ, let him be a [h]new creature. (A)Old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new.

Mark 4:26-34

26 [a]Also he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed in the ground.

27 And [b]should sleep, and rise up night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he [c]not knowing how.

28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit [d]of itself, first the blade, then the ears, after that full corn in the ears.

29 And as soon as the fruit showeth itself, anon he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

30 (A)[e]He said moreover, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?

31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which when it is sown in the earth, is the least of all seeds that be in the earth:

32 But after that it is sown, it groweth up, and is greatest of all herbs, and beareth great branches, so that the fowls of the heaven may build under the shadow of it.

33 And (B)with many such parables he preached the word unto them, [f]as they were able to hear it.

34 And without parables spake he nothing unto them: but he [g]expounded all things to his disciples apart.
