Version
Psalm 130

130 The people of God from their bottomless miseries do cry unto God, and are heard. 3 They confess their sins, and flee unto God’s mercies.

A song of degrees.

Out of the [a]deep places have I called unto thee, O Lord.

Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears attend to the voice of my prayers.

If thou, O Lord, straightly markest iniquities, O Lord, [b]who shall stand?

But mercy is with thee, that thou [c]mayest be feared.

I have waited on the Lord: my soul hath waited, and I have trusted in his word.

My soul waiteth on the Lord more than the morning watch watcheth for the morning.

Let Israel wait on the Lord: for with the Lord is [d]mercy, and with him is great redemption.

And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Genesis 2:4-14

¶ These are the [a]generations of the heavens and of the earth, when they were created, in the day, that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

And every [b]plant of the field, before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field, before it grew, for the Lord God had not caused it to [c]rain upon the earth, neither was there a man to till the ground,

But a mist went up from the earth, and watered all the earth.

¶ The Lord God also [d]made the man [e]of the dust of the ground, and breathed in his face breath of life, (A)and the man was a living soul.

And the Lord God planted a garden Eastward in [f]Eden, and there he put the man whom he had made.

(For out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree pleasant to the sight, and good for meat: the [g]tree of life also in the midst of the garden, [h]and the tree of knowledge of good and of evil.

10 And out of Eden went a river to water the garden, and from thence it was divided, and became into four heads.

11 The name of one is Pishon: the same compasseth the whole land of [i]Havilah, where is gold.

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is [j]Bdellium, and the Onyx stone.

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same compasseth the whole land of [k]Cush.

14 And the name of the [third] river is [l]Hiddekel: this goeth toward the East side of [m]Ashshur: and the fourth river is [n]Parah)

Luke 8:4-15

(A)[a]Now when much people were gathered together, and were come unto him out of all cities, he spake by a parable.

A sower went out to sow his seed, and as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and it was trodden under feet, and the fowls of heaven devoured it up.

And some fell on the stones, and when it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moistness.

And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.

And some fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit, an hundredfold. And as he said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Then his disciples asked him, demanding what parable that was.

10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the [b]secrets of the kingdom of God, but to others in parables, that when (B)they see, they should not see, and when they hear, they should not understand.

11 (C)The parable is this, The seed is the word of God.

12 And they that are beside the way, are they that hear: afterward cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe, and be saved.

13 But they that are on the stones, are they which when they have heard, receive the word with joy: but they have no roots: which for a while believe, but in the time of temptation go away.

14 And that which fell among thorns, are they which have heard, and after [c]their departure are choked with cares and with riches, and voluptuous living, and [d]bring forth no fruit.

15 But that which fell in good ground, are they which with an [e]honest and good heart hear the word, [f]and keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
