Psalm 92

How Great Are Your Works, O Yahweh

A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day.

92 It is (A)good to give thanks to Yahweh
And to (B)sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
To (C)declare Your lovingkindness in the morning
And Your (D)faithfulness [a]by night,
[b]With the (E)ten-stringed lute and with the (F)harp,
[c]With resounding music [d]upon the (G)lyre.
For You, O Yahweh, have made me glad by [e]what You (H)have done,
I will (I)sing for joy at the (J)works of Your hands.

How (K)great are Your works, O Yahweh!
Your [f](L)thoughts are very (M)deep.
A (N)senseless man does not know,
And a (O)fool does not understand this:
That when the wicked (P)flourished like grass
And all (Q)the workers of iniquity blossomed,
It was only that they might be (R)destroyed forevermore.
But You are (S)on high forever, O Yahweh.
For, behold, Your enemies, O Yahweh,
For, behold, (T)Your enemies will perish;
All the workers of iniquity will be (U)scattered.

10 But You have raised up my (V)horn like that of the wild ox;
I have [g]been (W)anointed with fresh oil.
11 And my eye has (X)looked exultantly upon [h]my foes,
My ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.
12 The (Y)righteous man will [i]flourish like the palm tree,
He will grow like a (Z)cedar in Lebanon.
13 (AA)Planted in the house of Yahweh,
They will flourish (AB)in the courts of our God.
14 They will still [j](AC)yield fruit in old age;
They shall be [k]rich and fresh,
15 To [l]declare that (AD)Yahweh is upright;
He is my (AE)rock, and there is (AF)no unrighteousness in Him.

Leviticus 26:3-20

(A)If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments so as to do them, then (B)I shall give you rains in their season, so that the land will give forth its produce and the trees of the field will give forth their fruit. (C)Indeed, your threshing will last for you until grape gathering, and grape gathering will last until sowing time. You will thus eat your [a]food to the full and (D)live securely in your land. (E)I shall also give you peace in the land so that (F)you may lie down, with no one making you tremble. (G)I shall also eliminate wild beasts from the land, and (H)no sword will pass through your land. But you will pursue your enemies, and they will fall before you by the sword; (I)and five of you will pursue one hundred, and one hundred of you will pursue ten thousand, and your enemies will fall before you by the sword. So I will turn toward you and (J)make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will (K)confirm My covenant with you. 10 (L)And you will eat the old supply and clear out the old because of the new. 11 (M)Moreover, I will [b]make My [c]dwelling among you, and My soul will not loathe you. 12 (N)I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people. 13 (O)I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so that you would not be their slaves, and (P)I broke the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.

Reject His Statutes and He Will Strike You

14 (Q)But if you do not obey Me and do not do all these commandments, 15 if, instead, you (R)reject My statutes, and if your soul loathes My judgments so as not to do all My commandments and so (S)break My covenant, 16 I, in turn, will do this to you: I will appoint over you a (T)sudden terror, consumption and fever that will waste away the eyes and cause the (U)soul to pine away; also, (V)you will sow your seed uselessly, for your enemies will eat it up. 17 And I will [d]set My face against you so that you will be [e]defeated before your enemies; and (W)those who hate you will have dominion over you, and (X)you will flee when no one is pursuing you. 18 If also after these things you do not obey Me, then I will discipline you (Y)seven times more for your sins. 19 I will also (Z)break down your pride of strength; I will also give your sky over to become like iron and your earth like bronze. 20 (AA)And your power will be spent uselessly, for your land will not give forth its produce and the trees of the land will not give forth their fruit.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-8

Sanctification and Love

(A)Finally then, (B)brothers, we ask and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us as to how you ought to [a](C)walk and (D)please God (just as you actually do [b]walk), that you (E)excel still more. For you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you (F)abstain from [c]sexual immorality; that (G)each of you know how to [d]possess his own [e](H)vessel in sanctification and (I)honor, not in [f](J)lustful passion, like the Gentiles who (K)do not know God; and that no man transgress and (L)defraud his brother (M)in the matter because (N)the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also (O)told you before and solemnly warned you. For (P)God did not call us to (Q)impurity, but [g]in sanctification. Consequently, he who sets this aside is not setting aside man but the God who (R)gives His Holy Spirit to you.
