M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
Bringing First Fruits and Tithes
26 “Then it will be, when you enter the land which Yahweh your God gives you as an inheritance and you possess it and live in it, 2 that you shall take some of (A)the first of all the fruit of the ground which you bring in from your land that Yahweh your God gives you, and you shall put it in a basket and (B)go to the place where Yahweh your God chooses for His name to dwell. 3 And you shall go to the priest who is in office in those days and say to him, ‘I declare this day to Yahweh [a]my God that I have entered the land which Yahweh swore to our fathers to give us.’ 4 Then the priest shall take the basket from your hand and set it down before the altar of Yahweh your God. 5 And you shall answer and say before Yahweh your God, ‘(C)My father was a [b]wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt and [c]sojourned there, (D)few in number; but there he became a (E)great, mighty, and populous nation. 6 And the (F)Egyptians treated us harshly and afflicted us and imposed hard slave labor on us. 7 Then (G)we cried out to Yahweh, the God of our fathers, and Yahweh heard our voice and saw our affliction and our toil and our oppression; 8 (H)and Yahweh brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror and with signs and wonders; 9 and He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, (I)a land flowing with milk and honey. 10 So now behold, I have brought the first of the fruit of the ground (J)which You, O Yahweh, have given me.’ And you shall set it down before Yahweh your God and worship before Yahweh your God; 11 and you and (K)the Levite and the sojourner who is among you shall (L)be glad in all the good which Yahweh your God has given you and your household.
12 “(M)When you have finished [d]paying all the tithe of your produce in the third year, the year of tithing, then you shall give it to the Levite, to the sojourner, to the [e]orphan, and to the widow, that they may eat within your gates and be satisfied. 13 Then you shall say before Yahweh your God, ‘I have purged the sacred portion from my house, and I also have given it to the Levite and the sojourner, the [f]orphan and the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me; (N)I have not trespassed against or forgotten any of Your commandments. 14 I have not eaten of it [g]while mourning, nor have I purged any of it while I was unclean, nor have I given any of it to the dead. I have listened to the voice of Yahweh my God; I have done according to all that You have commanded me. 15 (O)Look down from Your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the ground which You have given to us, (P)a land flowing with milk and honey, as You swore to our fathers.’
16 “This day Yahweh your God commands you to do these statutes and judgments. You shall therefore be careful to do them (Q)with all your heart and with all your soul. 17 (R)You have today declared Yahweh to be your God, and [h]that you would walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments, and listen to His voice. 18 And Yahweh has today declared you to be (S)His people, a treasured possession, as He promised you, and [i]that you should keep all His commandments; 19 and [j]that He will (T)set you high above all nations which He has made, for praise, a name, and beauty; and that you shall be (U)a holy people to Yahweh your God, as He has spoken.”
Yahweh’s Lovingkindness Prevails
117 (A)Praise Yahweh, all nations;
Laud Him, all peoples!
2 For His (B)lovingkindness prevails over us,
And the [a](C)truth of Yahweh is everlasting.
[b]Praise Yah!
Yahweh’s Lovingkindness Endures Forever
118 (D)Give thanks to Yahweh, for (E)He is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
2 Oh let (F)Israel say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”
3 Oh let the (G)house of Aaron say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”
4 Oh let those (H)who [c]fear Yahweh say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”
5 From my (I)distress I called upon Yah;
Yah answered me and (J)set me in a large place.
6 Yahweh is (K)for me; I will (L)not fear;
(M)What can man do to me?
7 Yahweh is for me (N)among those who help me;
Therefore I will (O)look in triumph on those who hate me.
8 It is (P)better to take refuge in Yahweh
Than to trust in man.
9 It is (Q)better to take refuge in Yahweh
Than to trust in nobles.
10 All nations (R)surrounded me;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely (S)cut them off.
11 They (T)surrounded me, indeed, they surrounded me;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely cut them off.
12 They surrounded me (U)like bees;
They were extinguished as a (V)fire of thorns;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely cut them off.
13 You (W)pushed me down violently to make me fall,
But Yahweh (X)helped me.
14 (Y)Yah is my strength and song,
And He has become (Z)my salvation.
15 The sound of (AA)joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous;
The (AB)right hand of Yahweh does valiantly.
16 The (AC)right hand of Yahweh is exalted;
The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly.
17 I (AD)will not die; indeed I will live,
And (AE)recount the works of Yah.
18 Yah has (AF)disciplined me severely,
But He has (AG)not given me over to death.
19 (AH)Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to Yah.
20 This is the gate of Yahweh;
The (AI)righteous will enter through it.
21 I shall give thanks to You, for You have (AJ)answered me,
And You have (AK)become my salvation.
22 The (AL)stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.
23 This is from Yahweh;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which Yahweh has made;
Let us (AM)rejoice and be glad in it.
25 O Yahweh, (AN)save!
O Yahweh, (AO)succeed!
26 (AP)Blessed is the one who comes in the name of Yahweh;
We have (AQ)blessed you from the house of Yahweh.
27 (AR)Yahweh is God, and He has given us (AS)light;
Bind the festival sacrifice with cords [d]to the (AT)horns of the altar.
28 (AU)You are my God, and I give thanks to You;
You are my God, (AV)I exalt You.
29 (AW)Give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
The Suffering Servant
53 (A)Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of Yahweh been revealed?
2 For He grew up before Him like a (B)tender [a]shoot,
And like a root out of parched ground;
He has (C)no stately form or majesty
That we should look upon Him,
Nor appearance that we should desire Him.
3 He was (D)despised and forsaken of men,
A man of [b]sorrows and (E)acquainted with [c]grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face
He was (F)despised, and we did not (G)esteem Him.
4 Surely our [d]griefs He Himself [e](H)bore,
And our [f]sorrows He [g]carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
[h]Smitten of (I)God, and afflicted.
5 But He was [i]pierced through for (J)our transgressions,
He was crushed for (K)our iniquities;
The (L)chastening for our peace fell upon Him,
And by (M)His [j]wounds we are healed.
6 All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But Yahweh has caused the iniquity of us all
To [k]fall on Him.
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He did not (N)open His mouth;
(O)Like a lamb that is led to slaughter,
And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers,
So He did not open His mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment He was taken away;
And as for His generation, who considered
That He was cut off out of the land of [l]the living,
(P)That for the transgression of my people, striking was due to Him?
9 So His grave was assigned with wicked men,
Yet He was with a (Q)rich man in His death,
(R)Because He had (S)done no violence,
Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.
10 But [m]Yahweh was pleased
To (T)crush Him, [n](U)putting Him to grief;
If You would place His soul as a guilt (V)offering,
He will see (W)His seed,
He will prolong His days,
And the [o]good (X)pleasure of Yahweh will succeed in His hand.
11 As a result of the [p]anguish of His soul,
He will (Y)see [q]it and be satisfied;
By His (Z)knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will [r]justify the many,
As He will (AA)bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore, I will divide for Him a (AB)portion with the many,
And He will divide the spoil with the strong;
Because He poured out (AC)His soul to death,
And was (AD)numbered with the transgressors;
Yet He Himself [s](AE)bore the sin of many,
And interceded for the transgressors.
The Genealogy of Jesus Christ
1 The book of the genealogy of [a]Jesus [b]Christ, (A)the son of David, (B)the son of Abraham:
2 Abraham [c]was the father of Isaac,
and Isaac was the father of Jacob,
and Jacob was the father of [d]Judah and his brothers.
3 And Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar,
and (C)Perez was the father of Hezron,
and Hezron was the father of [e]Ram.
4 And Ram was the father of Amminadab,
and Amminadab was the father of Nahshon,
and Nahshon was the father of Salmon.
5 And Salmon was the father of Boaz by Rahab,
and Boaz was the father of Obed by Ruth,
and Obed was the father of Jesse.
6 And Jesse was the father of David the king.
And David (D)was the father of Solomon by [f]the wife of Uriah.
7 And Solomon (E)was the father of Rehoboam,
and Rehoboam was the father of Abijah,
and Abijah was the father of [g]Asa.
8 And Asa was the father of Jehoshaphat,
and Jehoshaphat was the father of [h]Joram,
and Joram was the father of Uzziah.
9 And Uzziah was the father of [i]Jotham,
and Jotham was the father of Ahaz,
and Ahaz was the father of Hezekiah.
10 And Hezekiah was the father of Manasseh,
and Manasseh was the father of [j]Amon,
and Amon was the (F)father of Josiah.
11 And Josiah was the father of [k]Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the (G)deportation to Babylon.
12 And after the (H)deportation to Babylon:
Jeconiah was the father of [l]Shealtiel,
and Shealtiel was the father of Zerubbabel.
13 And Zerubbabel was the father of [m]Abihud,
and Abihud was the father of Eliakim,
and Eliakim was the father of Azor.
14 And Azor was the father of Zadok,
and Zadok was the father of Achim,
and Achim was the father of Eliud.
15 And Eliud was the father of Eleazar,
and Eleazar was the father of Matthan,
and Matthan was the father of Jacob.
16 And Jacob was the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, by whom Jesus was born, (I)who is called [n]Christ.
17 Therefore all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the (J)deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the (K)deportation to Babylon to [o]the Christ, fourteen generations.
The Conception and Birth of Jesus
18 Now the birth of Jesus [p]Christ was as follows: when His (L)mother Mary had been [q]betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was (M)found to be with child by the Holy Spirit. 19 And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her, planned [r](N)to send her away secretly. 20 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the [s]Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “(O)Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for [t]the One who has been [u]conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bear a Son; and (P)you shall call His name Jesus, for [v]He (Q)will save His people from their sins.” 22 Now all this [w]took place in order that what was (R)spoken by the [x]Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled, saying, 23 “(S)Behold, the virgin shall be with (T)child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name [y]Immanuel,” which translated means, “(U)God with us.” 24 And Joseph got up from his sleep and did as the angel of the [z]Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife, 25 [aa]but kept her a virgin until she [ab](V)gave birth to a Son; and (W)he called His name Jesus.
