⁷ There also you and your households shall eat before Yahweh your God, and ^(A)be glad in all that you send forth your hand to do, in which Yahweh your God has blessed you.

¹¹ and you shall ^(A)be glad before Yahweh your God, you and your son and your daughter and your male and female slaves and ^(B)the Levite who is within your gates and ^(C)the sojourner and the ^[a]orphan and the widow who are in your midst, in the place where Yahweh your God chooses for His name to dwell.

¹² I know that ^[a]there is ^(A)nothing better for them than to be glad and to do good in one’s lifetime; ¹³ moreover, that every man who eats and drinks and sees good in all his labor—it is the ^(B)gift of God.

¹⁸ Here is what I have seen to be ^(A)good, which is ^[a]beautiful: to eat, to drink, and to see good in all one’s labor in which he labors under the sun during the few days of his life which God has given him; for this is his ^(B)portion. ¹⁹ Furthermore, as for every man to whom ^(C)God has given riches and wealth, He has also ^(D)empowered him to eat from them and to take up his portion and be glad in his labor; this is the ^(E)gift of God. ²⁰ For he will not remember much the days of his life because ^(F)God allows ^[b]him to occupy himself with the gladness of his heart.
