27 “‘व्यभिचार करू नको’ [a] असे पूर्वी सांगितल्याचे तुम्ही ऐकले आहे, 28 परंतु मी तुम्हांस सांगतो की, जो कोणी एखाद्या स्त्रीकडे वाकड्या नजरेने पाहतो त्याने आपल्या मनात तिच्याशी व्यभिचार केलाच आहे. 29 जर तुझा उजवा डोळा तुला पाप करायला प्रवृत्त करतो तर तो काढून टाक व फेकून दे. संपूर्ण शरीर नरकात जाण्यापेक्षा शरीराचा एखादा अवयव गमावलेला बरा. 30 जर तुझा उजवा हात तुला पापास प्रवृत्त करतो, तर तो तोडून फेकून दे, कारण संपूर्ण शरीर नरकात जाण्यापेक्षा शरीराचा एक अवयव गमावलेला बरा.
