Psalm 105

105 Praise the LORD! Call upon His Name! Declare His works among the people!

Sing to Him! Sing praise to Him! Talk of all His wondrous works!

Rejoice in His Holy Name! Let the heart of those who seek the LORD, rejoice!

Seek the LORD and His strength. Seek His face continually.

Remember His marvelous works that He has done, His wonders and the judgments of His mouth

you seed of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob who are His Elect.

He is the LORD our God. His judgments are through all the Earth.

He has always remembered His Covenant promise that He made to a thousand generations

(which he made with Abraham) and his oath to Isaac.

10 And He has since confirmed it to Jacob for a Law, and to Israel for an everlasting Covenant,

11 saying, “To You I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance,”

12 when they were few in number (indeed, very few) and strangers in the land

13 and walked about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.

14 Still, He allowed no man to do them wrong, but rebuked kings for their sakes, saying,

15 “Do not touch My anointed, nor do my Prophets harm.”

16 Moreover, He called a famine upon the land, and utterly broke the staff of bread.

17 But, He sent a man before them. Joseph was sold for a slave.

18 They held his feet in the stocks; and he was laid in irons

19 until his appointed time came, and the counsel of the LORD had tried him.

20 The King sent and released him. The ruler of the people delivered him.

21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance,

22 so that he could bind his princes to his will and teach his ancients wisdom.

23 Then Israel came to Egypt, and Jacob was a stranger in the land of Ham.

24 And He increased His people exceedingly and made them stronger than their oppressors.

25 He turned their heart to hate His people, and to deal craftily with His servants.

26 He sent Moses, His servant, and Aaron, whom He had chosen.

27 They showed the message of His signs among them and wonders in the land of Ham.

28 He sent darkness and made it dark. And they were not disobedient to His commission.

29 He turned their waters into blood and killed their fish.

30 Their land brought forth frogs, even in their king’s chambers.

31 He spoke, and there came swarms of flies and lice in all their quarters.

32 He gave them hail for rain, and flames of fire in their land.

33 He also struck their vines and their fig trees and broke down the trees on their coasts.

34 He spoke, and the grasshoppers came, and innumerable caterpillars,

35 and ate up all the grass in their land and devoured the fruit of their ground.

36 He also struck all the firstborn in their land, even the beginning of all their strength.

37 He also brought them forth with silver and gold, and there was no one feeble among their tribes.

38 Egypt was glad at their departing, for the fear of them had fallen upon them.

39 He spread a cloud to be a covering, and fire to give light in the night.

40 They asked, and He brought quails; and He filled them with the bread of Heaven.

41 He opened the rock and the water flowed out and ran like a river in the dry places.

42 For He remembered His Holy Promise to Abraham, His servant.

43 And He brought forth His people with joy and his chosen with gladness,

44 and gave them the lands of the heathen. And they took the labors of the people in possession,

45 so that they might keep His statutes and observe His Laws. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD

Malachi 2:1-16

“And now, O you priests, this Commandment is for you.

“If you will not hear it, or consider it in your heart, to give glory to My Name,” says the LORD of Hosts, “I will send a curse upon you, and will curse your blessings. Yea, I have cursed them already, because you do not consider it in your heart.

“Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and cast dung upon your faces, the dung of your solemn Feasts. And you shall be like it.

“And you shall know that I have sent this Commandment to you, so that My Covenant which I made with Levi might stand,” says the LORD of Hosts.

“My Covenant was with him, one of life and peace. And I gave him fear. And he feared Me and was afraid before My Name.

“The Law of Truth was in his mouth and there was no iniquity found in his lips. He walked with Me in peace and uprightness and turned many away from iniquity.

“For the priest’s lips should preserve knowledge. And they should seek the Law from his mouth. For he is the messenger of the LORD of Hosts.

“But you have gone out of the way. You have caused many to fall by the Law. You have broken the Covenant of Levi,” says the LORD of Hosts.

“Therefore, I have also made you despised and vile before all the people, because you did not keep My ways, but have been partial in the Law.”

10 Have we not all one Father? Has not one God made us? Why do we transgress, each one against his brother, and break the Covenant of our fathers?

11 Judah has transgressed. And an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem. For Israel has defiled the holiness of the LORD, which He loves, and has married the daughter of a strange god.

12 The LORD will cut off the man who does this—the master and the servant—out of the Tabernacle of Jacob and he who offers an offering to the LORD of Hosts.

13 And this you have done again, and covered the Altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping and with mourning. Because the offering is no longer regarded. Nor is it received acceptably from your hands.

14 Yet you say, “Why?” Because the LORD has been Witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have transgressed. She still is your companion and the wife of your covenant.

15 And did He not make them one, having a remnant of the Spirit. And why one? Because He sought a godly seed. Therefore, keep yourselves in your spirit. And let no one trespass against the wife of his youth.

16 “For I hate divorce,” says the LORD God of Israel, “and he who covers the injury under his garment,” says the LORD of Hosts. “Therefore, keep yourselves in your spirit, and do not transgress.”

James 4:13-5:6

13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into a certain city and continue there a year and buy and sell and gain a profit.”

14 And yet, you cannot say what shall happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is but a vapor that appears for a little time and afterward vanishes away.

15 Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, and if we live, we will do this or that”.

16 But now you exult in your boastings. All such boasting is evil.

17 Therefore, to him who knows how to do well, and does not do so, to him it is sin.

Come now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.

Your riches are corrupt, and your garments are moth-eaten.

Your gold and silver are corroded. And the rust of them shall be a witness against you and shall eat your flesh as if it were fire. You have heaped up treasure for the last days.

Behold, the wages of the laborers who have reaped your fields cry out (those which are fraudulently withheld by you). And the cries of those reapers are entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts.

You have lived in pleasure on the Earth and been riotous. You have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

You have condemned and have killed the just. And he has not resisted you.

Luke 17:20-37

20 And when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, He answered them, and said, “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation.

21 “Nor shall they say, ‘Lo, here!’ or ‘Lo, there!’ For behold, the Kingdom of God is within you.”

22 And He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you shall not see it.

23 “Then they shall say to you, ‘Behold here!’or ‘Behold there!’ Do not go there or follow them.

24 “For as the lightning that flashes out of one part of Heaven, shines into another part of Heaven, so shall the Son of Man be on His day.

25 “But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

26 “And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the Son of Man.

27 “They ate, they drank, they married wives and gave in marriage, until the day that Noah went into the Ark. And the flood came and destroyed them all.

28 “Also, as it was in the days of Lot. They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built.

29 “But on the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from Heaven, and destroyed them all.

30 “So shall it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

31 “On that day, the one who is upon the house (and his stuff in the house), let him not come down to take it out. And likewise, the one who is in the field, let him not turn back to that which he left behind.

32 “Remember Lot’s wife.

33 “Whoever will seek to save his soul, shall lose it. And whoever shall lose it, shall preserve it.

34 “I tell you, on that night there shall be two in one bed. The one shall be received, and the other shall be left.

35 “Two women shall be grinding together. The one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

36 “Two shall be in the field. One shall be received, and another shall be left.”

37 And they answered, and said to Him, “Where, Lord?” And He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there also shall the birds of prey be gathered together.”
