101 1 David describeth what government he will observe in his house and kingdom. 5 He will punish and correct, by rooting forth the wicked, 6 and cherishing the godly persons.
A Psalm of David.
1 I will [a]sing mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing.
2 I will do wisely in the perfect way, [b]till thou comest to me, I will walk in the uprightness of mine heart in the midst of my house.
3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate [c]the work of them that fall away: it shall not cleave unto me.
4 A froward heart shall depart from me; I will know none evil.
5 Him that privily [d]slandereth his neighbor, will I destroy: him that hath a proud look and high heart, I cannot suffer.
6 Mine eyes shall be unto the [e]faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
7 There shall no deceitful person dwell within my house: he that telleth lies, shall not remain in my sight.
8 [f]Betimes will I destroy all the wicked of the land that I may cut off all the workers of iniquity from the City of the Lord.
109 1 David being falsely accused by flatterers unto Saul, prayeth God to help him, and to destroy his enemies. 8 And under them he speaketh of Judas the traitor unto Jesus Christ, and of all the like enemies of the children of God: 27 And desireth so to be delivered, that his enemies may know the work to be of God. 30 Then doth he promise to give praise unto God.
To him that excelleth. A Psalm of David.
1 Hold not thy tongue, O God of my [a]praise.
2 For the mouth of the wicked, and the mouth full of deceit are opened upon me: they have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
3 They compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
4 For my friendship they were my adversaries, [b]but I gave myself to prayer.
5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship.
6 [c]Set thou the wicked over him, and let the adversary stand at his right hand.
7 When he shall be judged, let him be condemned, and let his [d]prayer be turned into sin.
8 Let his days be few, and let another take his [e]charge.
9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10 Let his children be vagabonds, and beg and seek bread, coming out of their places destroyed.
11 Let [f]the extortioner catch all that he hath, and let the strangers spoil his labor.
12 Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to show mercy upon his fatherless children.
13 Let his posterity be destroyed, and in the generation following, let their name be put out.
14 [g]Let the iniquity of his fathers be had in remembrance with the Lord: and let not the sin of his mother be done away.
15 But let them always be before the Lord, that he may cut off their memorial from the earth.
16 Because [h]he remembered not to show mercy, but persecuted the afflicted and poor man, and the sorrowful hearted to slay him.
17 As he loved cursing, [i]so shall it come unto him, and as he loved not blessing, so shall it be far from him.
18 As he clothed himself with cursing like a raiment, so shall it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
19 Let it be unto him as a garment to cover him, and for a girdle, wherewith he shall be always girded.
20 Let this be the reward of mine adversary [j]from the Lord, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
21 But thou, O Lord my God, deal with me according unto thy [k]Name: deliver me, (for thy mercy is good)
22 Because I am poor and needy, and mine heart is wounded within me.
23 I depart like the shadow that declineth, and am shaken off as the [l]grasshopper.
24 My knees are weak through fasting, and my flesh [m]hath lost all fatness.
25 I became also a rebuke unto them: they that looked upon me, shaked their heads.
26 Help me, O Lord my God: [n]save me according to thy mercy.
27 And they shall know that this is thine hand, and that thou, Lord, hast done it.
28 Though [o]they curse, yet thou wilt bless: they shall arise and be confounded, but thy servant shall rejoice.
29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their confusion as with a cloak.
30 I will give thanks unto the Lord greatly with my [p]mouth, and praise him among the multitude.

121 I have executed judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressor.
122 [a]Answer for thy servant in that which is good, and let not the proud oppress me.
123 Mine eyes have failed in waiting for thy salvation, and for thy just promise.
124 Deal with thy [b]servant according to thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
125 I am thy servant: grant me therefore understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
126 It is [c]time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have destroyed thy Law.
127 Therefore love I thy commandments above gold, yea, above most fine gold.
128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts most just, and hate all false [d]ways.

129 Thy testimonies are [e]wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.
130 The entrance into thy [f]words showeth light, and giveth understanding to the simple.
131 I opened my mouth, and [g]panted, because I loved thy commandments.
132 Look upon me and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy Name.
133 Direct my steps in thy word, and let none iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Deliver me from the oppression of men, and I will keep thy precepts.
135 Show the light of thy countenance upon thy servant, and teach me thy statute.
136 Mine eyes gush [h]out with rivers of water, because they keep not thy Law.

137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and just are thy judgments.
138 Thou hast commanded [i]justice by thy testimonies and truth especially.
139 (A)My zeal hath even consumed me: because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
140 Thy word is proved [j]most pure, and thy servant loveth it.
141 I am [k]small and despised: yet do I not forget thy precepts.
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy Law is truth.
143 Trouble and anguish are come upon me: yet are the commandments my delight.
144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: grant me understanding, and I shall [l]live.
36 ¶ And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
37 Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the Priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter the fire beyond the altar: for they are hallowed,
38 The censers, I say, of these sinners, that destroyed [a]themselves: and let them make of them broad plates for a covering of the Altar: for they offered them before the Lord, therefore they shall be holy, and they shall be a [b]sign unto the children of Israel.
39 Then Eleazar the Priest took the brazen censers, which they that were burnt had offered, and made broad plates of them for a covering of the Altar.
40 It is a remembrance unto the children of Israel, that no stranger which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the Lord, that he be not like [c]Korah and his company, as the Lord said to him by the hand of Moses.
41 ¶ But on the morrow all the multitude of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the Lord.
42 And when the Congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, then they [d]turned their faces toward the tabernacle of the Congregation: and behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared.
43 Then Moses and Aaron were come before the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
44 ¶ And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
45 Get you up from among this Congregation: for I will consume them quickly: then they fell upon their faces.
46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take the censer and put fire therein of the [e]Altar, and put therein incense, and go quickly unto the Congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the Lord: the plague is begun.
47 Then Aaron took as Moses commanded him, and ran into the midst of the Congregation, and behold, the [f]plague was begun among the people, and he put incense, and made an atonement for the people.
48 And when he stood between the dead, and them that were alive, the [g]plague was stayed.
49 So they died of this plague fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died in the conspiracy of Korah.
50 And Aaron went again unto Moses before the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and the plague was stayed.
13 [a]For the promise that he should be the [b]heir of the world, was not given to Abraham, or to his seed, through the [c]Law, but through the righteousness of faith.
14 [d]For if they which are of the [e]Law, be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of none effect.
15 [f]For the Law causeth wrath: for where no Law is, there is no transgression.
16 [g]Therefore it is by faith, that it might come by grace, and the promise might be sure to all the [h]seed, [i]not to that only which is of the Law: but also to that which is of the faith of Abraham who is the father of us all,
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a [j]father of many nations) even before [k]God whom he believed, who [l]quickeneth the dead, and [m]calleth those things which be not, as though they were.
18 [n]Which Abraham above hope, believed under hope, that he should be the father of many nations: according to that which was spoken to him, So shall thy seed be.
19 And he [o]not weak in the faith, considered not his own body, which was now [p]dead, being almost an hundred years old, neither the deadness of Sarah’s womb.
20 Neither did he doubt of the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in the faith, and gave [q]glory to God,
21 Being [r]fully assured that he which had promised, was also able to do it.
22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23 [s]Now is it not written for him only, that it was imputed to him for righteousness,
24 But also for us, to whom it shall be imputed for righteousness, which believe in him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,
25 Who was delivered to death for our [t]sins, and is risen again for our justification.

1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain [a]householder, which went out at the dawning of the day to hire laborers into his vineyard.
2 And he [b]agreed with the laborers for a penny a day, and sent them into his vineyard.
3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
4 And said unto them, Go ye also into my vineyard, and whatsoever is right, I will give you: and they went their way.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
6 And he went about the [c]eleventh hour, and found others standing idle, and said unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7 They said unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He said to them, Go ye also into my vineyard, and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
8 ¶ And when even was come, the master of the vineyard said unto his steward, Call the laborers, and give them their hire, beginning at the last, till thou come to the first.
9 And they which were hired about the eleventh hour, came and received every man a penny.
10 Now when the first came, they supposed that they should receive more, but they likewise received every man a penny.
11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the master of the house,
12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13 And he answered one of them, saying, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst thou not agree with me for a penny?
14 Take that which is thine own, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, as much as to thee.
15 Is it not lawful for me to do as I will with mine own? Is thine eye [d]evil, because I am good?
16 (A) So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many are called, but few chosen.
