  1. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
  2. And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not.
  3. And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The Lord hath not appeared unto thee.

  8. And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord, and his servant Moses.
  9. And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord.
  10. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
  11. And the Lord said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?
  12. And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
  13. Yet in this thing ye did not believe the Lord your God,
  14. Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
  15. Likewise when the Lord sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
  16. And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
  17. And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.
  18. Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?
  19. The Lord render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; for the Lord delivered thee into my hand to day, but I would not stretch forth mine hand against the Lord's anointed.
  20. And Achish believed David, saying, He hath made his people Israel utterly to abhor him; therefore he shall be my servant for ever.
  21. I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: thou seekest to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why wilt thou swallow up the inheritance of the Lord?

  29. And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.

  35. If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
  36. He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.
  37. If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.
  38. Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?
  39. He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
  40. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
  41. Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
  42. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
  43. O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
  44. Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
