  14. How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?
  15. Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.
  16. By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. And through his faith, though he died, he still speaks.
  17. If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return.
  18. He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back.
  19. Jesus, Founder and Perfecter of Our Faith

    Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
  20. If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
  21. Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
  22. Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them.
  23. We have an altar from which those who serve the tent have no right to eat.
  24. equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
