  1. And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
  2. One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
  3. But He was speaking about the temple of His body.

  11. It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh provides no benefit; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit, and are life.
  12. However, no one was speaking openly about Him, for fear of the Jews.
  13. If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is of God, or I am speaking from Myself.
  14. The one who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
  15. And yet look, He is speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to Him. The rulers do not really know that this is the Christ, do they?
  16. The officers answered, “Never has a man spoken in this way!”
  17. Jesus Is the Light of the World

    Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
  18. These words He spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple area; and no one arrested Him, because His hour had not yet come.
  19. They did not realize that He was speaking to them about the Father.
  20. I speak of the things which I have seen with My Father; therefore you also do the things which you heard from your father.”
  21. You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.
  22. Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth, why do you not believe Me?
  23. but how he now sees, we do not know; or who opened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him; he is of age, he will speak for himself.”
  24. They spoke abusively to him and said, “You are His disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.
  25. We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, we do not know where He is from.”
