Luke 23:33-55
English Standard Version
33 (A)And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, (B)one on his right and one on his left. 34 And Jesus said, “Father, (C)forgive them, (D)for they know not what they do.”[a] And they cast lots (E)to divide his garments. 35 And (F)the people stood by, watching, (G)but (H)the rulers (I)scoffed at him, saying, (J)“He saved others; (K)let him save himself, (L)if he is (M)the Christ of God, (N)his Chosen One!” 36 The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and (O)offering him sour wine 37 and saying, (P)“If you are (Q)the King of the Jews, save yourself!” 38 (R)There was also an inscription over him,[b] “This is (S)the King of the Jews.”
39 (T)One of the criminals who were hanged (U)railed at him,[c] saying, “Are you not (V)the Christ? Save yourself and us!” 40 But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 And he said, “Jesus, remember me (W)when you come into your kingdom.” 43 And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in (X)paradise.”
The Death of Jesus
44 (Y)It was now about the sixth hour,[d] and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour,[e] 45 while the sun's light failed. And (Z)the curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46 Then Jesus, (AA)calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, (AB)into your hands I (AC)commit my spirit!” And having said this (AD)he breathed his last. 47 Now (AE)when the centurion saw what had taken place, (AF)he praised God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent!” 48 And all the crowds that had assembled for this spectacle, when they saw what had taken place, returned home (AG)beating their breasts. 49 And all (AH)his acquaintances and (AI)the women who had followed him from Galilee (AJ)stood at a distance watching these things.
Jesus Is Buried
50 (AK)Now there was a man named Joseph, from the Jewish town of Arimathea. He was a member of the council, a good and righteous man, 51 who had not consented to their decision and action; and he (AL)was looking for the kingdom of God. 52 This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 53 Then he took it down and wrapped it in a linen shroud and (AM)laid him in a tomb cut in stone, (AN)where no one had ever yet been laid. 54 It was the day of (AO)Preparation, and the Sabbath was beginning.[f] 55 (AP)The women (AQ)who had come with him from Galilee followed and saw the tomb and how his body was laid.

John 19:12-18
English Standard Version
12 From then on (A)Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend. (B)Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar.” 13 So when Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat down on (C)the judgment seat at a place called The Stone Pavement, and in Aramaic[a] Gabbatha. 14 Now it was (D)the day of Preparation of the Passover. It was about the sixth hour.[b] He said to the Jews, (E)“Behold your King!” 15 They cried out, (F)“Away with him, away with him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.” 16 (G)So he (H)delivered him over to them to be crucified.
The Crucifixion
So they took Jesus, 17 and (I)he went out, (J)bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha. 18 (K)There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them.
