³⁹ And they took him and ^(A)threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

²³ this Jesus,^{[a] (A)}delivered up according to ^(B)the definite plan and ^(C)foreknowledge of God, ^(D)you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.

⁶ You have condemned and ^(A)murdered ^(B)the righteous person. He does not resist you.

Jesus Faces Annas and Caiaphas

¹² So the band of soldiers and their captain and the officers of the Jews^[a] arrested Jesus and bound him.

⁵² Then Jesus said to the chief priests and ^(A)officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? ⁵³ When ^(B)I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is ^(C)your hour, and ^(D)the power of darkness.”

Peter Denies Jesus

^54 (E)Then they seized him and led him away, bringing him into the high priest's house, ^(F)and Peter was following at a distance.

Jesus Before Caiaphas and the Council

^57 (A)Then ^(B)those who had seized Jesus led him to ^(C)Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders had gathered.

¹¹ For ^(A)the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy places by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned ^(B)outside the camp. ¹² So Jesus also ^(C)suffered ^(D)outside the gate in order to sanctify the people ^(E)through his own blood. ¹³ Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear ^(F)the reproach he endured.
