Liknelsen om de onda vingårdsarbetarna
12 Sedan började Jesus tala till dem i liknelser: "En man planterade en vingård. Han satte stängsel kring den, högg ut en vinpress[a] och byggde ett vakttorn. Därefter arrenderade han ut den till vingårdsarbetare och reste bort. 2 När tiden var inne, skickade han en tjänare till vingårdsarbetarna för att få sin del av vingårdens avkastning. 3 Men de tog fast honom, slog honom och skickade i väg honom tomhänt. 4 Då skickade han en annan tjänare till dem. Honom slog de i huvudet och hånade. 5 Sedan skickade han ännu en och honom dödade de. Han skickade också många andra. En del slog de, andra dödade de.
6 Ännu en hade han, en älskad son. Honom sände han till slut till dem. Han tänkte: De kommer att ha respekt för min son. 7 Men vingårdsarbetarna sade till varandra: Här har vi arvtagaren! Kom, låt oss döda honom, så blir arvet vårt. 8 Och de tog fast honom, dödade honom och kastade ut honom ur vingården. 9 Vad skall nu vingårdens herre göra? Han skall komma och döda vingårdsarbetarna och lämna vingården till andra.
10 Har ni inte läst det här stället i Skriften: Den sten som byggnadsarbetarna kastade bort har blivit en hörnsten. [b] 11 Herren har gjort detta, och underbar är den i våra ögon." 12 De hade nu velat gripa honom men vågade inte för folket. De förstod att det var med tanke på dem som han hade berättat liknelsen. Och de lämnade honom och gick sin väg.
Skatt till kejsaren
13 Sedan sände de till honom några fariseer och herodianer för att snärja honom genom något ord. 14 De kom till honom och sade: "Mästare, vi vet att du är trovärdig och inte tar parti för någon utan behandlar alla lika. Du ger en rätt undervisning om Guds väg.[c] Är det tillåtet att betala skatt till kejsaren eller är det inte tillåtet? Skall vi betala eller inte?" 15 Men Jesus förstod att de hycklade och sade till dem: "Varför försöker ni snärja mig? Ge mig ett mynt[d] och låt mig se på det." 16 De räckte fram ett, och han frågade dem: "Vems bild och inskrift är detta?" De svarade: "Kejsarens." 17 Då sade Jesus till dem: "Ge då kejsaren vad som tillhör kejsaren, och Gud vad som tillhör Gud." Och de förundrade sig över honom.
De dödas uppståndelse
18 Till Jesus kom också sadduceer - dessa påstår att det inte finns någon uppståndelse - och de frågade honom: 19 "Mästare, Mose har gett oss denna föreskrift: Om någon har en bror som dör och efterlämnar hustru men inga barn, då skall hans bror gifta sig med henne och skaffa barn åt sin bror. [e] 20 Nu fanns där sju bröder. Den förste gifte sig. Han dog utan att ha lämnat efter sig några barn. 21 Den andre gifte sig med henne, men också han dog barnlös. På samma sätt gick det med den tredje. 22 Ingen av de sju lämnade barn efter sig. Sist av alla dog kvinnan. 23 Vid uppståndelsen, när de uppstår, vem av dessa skall hon då vara hustru till? Alla sju var ju gifta med henne."
24 Jesus sade till dem: "Tar ni inte fel, just därför att ni inte förstår Skrifterna och inte heller Guds makt? 25 När de döda uppstår gifter de sig inte och blir inte bortgifta, utan de är som änglarna i himlen. 26 Men när det gäller de dödas uppståndelse, har ni då inte i Moses bok läst stället om törnbusken, hur Gud sade till Mose: Jag är Abrahams Gud och Isaks Gud och Jakobs Gud? [f] 27 Han är inte de dödas utan de levandes Gud. Ni misstar er fullständigt."
Det viktigaste budet
28 En av de skriftlärda som hörde dem diskutera fann att Jesus hade gett dem ett bra svar. Han kom fram till honom och frågade: "Vilket är det största av alla buden?" 29 Jesus svarade: "Det största är detta: Hör Israel! Herren, vår Gud, Herren är en,[g] 30 och du skall älska Herren din Gud av hela ditt hjärta, av hela din själ, av hela ditt förstånd och av hela din kraft. 31 Sedan kommer detta: Du skall älska din nästa som dig själv. [h] Inget annat bud är större än dessa." 32 Den skriftlärde sade: "Du har rätt, Mästare, det är sant som du säger. Han är en, och det finns ingen annan än han. 33 Och att älska honom av hela sitt hjärta och av hela sitt förstånd och av hela sin kraft och att älska sin nästa som sig själv, det är mer än alla brännoffer och andra offer." 34 När Jesus hörde att mannen hade svarat förståndigt, sade han till honom: "Du är inte långt från Guds rike." Sedan vågade ingen fråga honom längre.
Är Messias Davids son?
35 Då Jesus undervisade i templet frågade han: "Hur kan de skriftlärda säga att Messias är Davids son? 36 David har själv sagt genom den helige Ande: Herren sade till min Herre: Sätt dig på min högra sida, tills jag har lagt dina fiender under dina fötter. [i] 37 David kallar honom Herre. Hur kan Messias då vara Davids son?"[j] Den stora folkskaran lyssnade gärna på honom.
Jesus varnar för de skriftlärda
38 När Jesus undervisade sade han också: "Akta er för de skriftlärda, som tycker om att gå omkring i långa mantlar och bli hälsade på torgen 39 och sitta på de främsta platserna i synagogorna och få hedersplatserna vid festmåltiderna. 40 De äter änkorna ur husen och ursäktar sig med sina långa böner. De skall få en så mycket strängare dom."
Änkans offergåva
41 Jesus satte sig mitt emot offerkistan och såg hur folket lade pengar i den. Många rika gav mycket. 42 Där kom också en fattig änka och lade ner två små kopparmynt, några ören. 43 Då kallade han till sig sina lärjungar och sade till dem: "Amen säger jag er: Denna fattiga änka lade dit mer än alla de andra som lade något i offerkistan. 44 Ty alla gav de av sitt överflöd, men hon gav av sin fattigdom, allt vad hon hade att leva på."

Mannen som hyrde ut sin vingård
12 Sedan började Jesus tala till folket med hjälp av bilder och sa bland annat: En man planterade en vingård. Han byggde en mur runt omkring den och grävde en grop där han kunde pressa druvorna. Han byggde också ett vakttorn. Sedan hyrde han ut vingården till några vinodlare och reste utomlands.
2 När det blev dags att skörda skickade han en av sina män för att hämta den del av skörden som var hans.
3 Men vinodlarna tog fast mannen och slog honom och skickade honom tomhänt tillbaka.
4 Ägaren sände då en annan av sina män, men de gjorde likadant med honom. De misshandlade honom och slog honom i huvudet.
5 Den näste som han sände dödade de. Ja, alla som ägaren sände för att få ut sin del av skörden, misshandlade de eller slog ihjäl.
6 Till slut fanns det bara en kvar att sända, ägarens ende och mycket älskade son. Han bestämde sig då för att sända iväg denne. Honom vågar de inte göra något ont, tänkte han.
7 Men när vinodlarna såg sonen komma sa de: 'Det är han som ska ta över vingården när hans far dör. Vi dödar honom, och sedan blir vingården vår!'
8 Därför grep de honom och slog ihjäl honom och slängde ut kroppen utanför muren.
9 Vad tror ni att ägaren kommer att göra när han får veta vad som har hänt? Jo, han kommer själv för att döda dem allesammans och sedan hyra ut vingården till andra.
10 Har ni inte läst den här versen i Psaltaren: 'Den sten som inte dög åt byggnadsarbetarna har nu blivit en hörnsten, den mest betydelsefulla stenen i hela huset!
11 Detta är Herrens verk, och man tror inte det är sant när man ser det'?
12 De judiska ledarna ville genast arrestera honom för de förstod mycket väl att det var dem han syftade på. De var de onda vinodlarna i berättelsen. Men de var samtidigt så rädda för folket att de inte vågade ge sig på honom. Därför lämnade de honom och gick därifrån.
Frågan om att betala skatt
13 I stället skickade de dit några fariseer och anhängare till kung Herodes för att diskutera med honom och hoppades att han skulle säga något som de kunde arrestera honom för.
14 Mästare!, sa de inställsamt. Vi vet att du inte är rädd för att hålla dig till sanningen. Du frågar inte efter vad folk tycker och tänker, utan säger oss rakt på sak hur vi ska leva efter Guds vilja. Kan du inte säga oss, om det är Guds vilja att vi ska betala skatt till den romerska staten. Ska vi göra det eller inte?
15 Jesus genomskådade deras knep och sa: Visa mig ett mynt så ska jag säga er det.
16 De gav honom ett romerskt mynt och han frågade dem: Vems bild och namn är det här? De svarade: Kejsarens.
17 Då så, sa han, ge då kejsaren det som tillhör kejsaren och Gud det som tillhör Gud. Och de förundrade sig över vad han sa.
Frågan om uppståndelsen
18 Sedan kom några saddukeer till Jesus. Dessa människor tror inte på uppståndelsen från de döda, och de sa:
19 Herre, Mose gav oss en lag som säger att när en man dör barnlös, ska mannens bror gifta sig med änkan och skaffa söner i sin brors namn.
20-22 Det var en gång sju bröder. Den äldste gifte sig men dog, utan att lämna några barn efter sig. Den andre brodern gifte sig därför med änkan, men snart dog också han och lämnade inte heller några barn efter sig. Då gifte sig näste bror med henne och han dog också. Så pågick det tills denna kvinna hade varit gift med alla sju, utan att ha fått några barn. Till sist dog också hon.
23 Nu vill vi veta en sak: Vems fru kommer hon att bli efter uppståndelsen? Alla sju bröderna hade ju varit gifta med henne?
24 Jesus svarade: Ert problem beror på att ni inte känner Skriften och inte heller Guds kraft.
25 När de döda uppstår kommer de inte att vara gifta eller gifta sig, utan leva som änglarna i himlen.
26 Men nu till frågan om det kommer att bli någon uppståndelse: Har ni aldrig läst om Mose och hur Gud i den brinnande busken sa till honom: 'Jag är Abrahams Gud och jag är Isaks Gud och jag är Jakobs Gud.'
27 Det betyder alltså att Gud talar om dessa som levande, fastän de varit döda i hundratals år. Han skulle inte ha sagt: 'Jag är deras Gud' om sådana som inte existerar! Ni har fullständigt kommit på villovägar när det gäller uppståndelsen från de döda.
Frågan om det viktigaste budet
28 En av lagexperterna som stod där och lyssnade till diskussionen var imponerad av det svar Jesus hade gett, och därför frågade han: Vilket är det viktigaste av alla buden?
29 Jesus svarade: Det som säger: 'Hör, Israel, Herren vår Gud är den ende, sanne Guden.
30 Du ska använda all din kraft till att älska honom, och du ska tjäna honom av hela ditt hjärta och med ditt liv och alla dina tankar.'
31 Lika viktigt är det andra budet: 'Älska dina medmänniskor lika mycket som dig själv!' Inga andra bud är mer livsviktiga än dessa två.
32 Lagexperten svarade: Herre, du har sagt ett sant ord när du säger att det bara finns en Gud och ingen annan.
33 Och jag förstår att detta att älska Gud av hela sitt hjärta och av all sin kraft och av hela sitt förstånd, och att älska sina medmänniskor som sig själv, det är större och viktigare än alla slags offer på altaret i templet.
34 När Jesus hörde mannens kloka svar sa han: Du är inte långt borta från Guds rike. Och efter detta vågade ingen annan komma med några fler frågor.
Folkets religiösa ledare kan inte svara Jesus
35 När Jesus senare undervisade folket inne på tempelområdet, frågade han dem:Varför påstår era religiösa ledare att Messias måste vara en ättling till kung David?
36 David har ju själv sagt, ledd av den helige Ande: 'Gud sa till min herre: Sätt dig på min högra sida tills jag har lagt alla dina fiender under dina fötter.'
37 Eftersom David kallar honom sin herre, hur kan han då vara hans son?
Jesus varnar för de religiösa ledarnas dubbelmoral
Hans sätt att argumentera tilltalade folk, och de lyssnade därför ivrigt till honom,38 och han fortsatte sin undervisning:Akta er för lagexperterna! De älskar att gå klädda som förnäma och lärda män och väntar sig att alla ska buga sig för dem när de går över torgen.
39 Vid gudstjänsterna i synagogorna sitter de på de främsta platserna, och vid festmiddagarna slår de sig gärna ner på hedersplatserna.
40 Men fulla av habegär lurar de av hjälplösa änkor deras hus. För att sedan skyla över vilka samvetslösa människor de är, låtsas de vara gudfruktiga genom att be långa böner offentligt. Därför kommer också Gud att straffa dem desto hårdare.
En fattig änka ger allt hon har
41 Sedan gick han fram till kollektkistorna i templet och satte sig ner och tittade på när folk kom och lade sina pengar i dem. Några som var rika lade dit stora summor.
42 Men så kom en fattig änka och lade dit två femöringar.
43 Då kallade han på lärjungarna och sa: Den här fattiga änkan gav mer än alla rika män tillsammans,
44 för de gav bara en liten del av sitt överflöd, medan hon gav sin sista femöring.

12 ଯୀଶୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଲେ; ସେ କହିଲେ, “ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଲଗାଇଲା। ତାହାର ଗ୍ଭରିପଟେ ପାଚେରୀ କରିଦେଲା। ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ସଂଗ୍ରହ[a] କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଗୋଟିଏ କୁଣ୍ଡ ତିଆରି କଲା। ସେ ପ୍ରହରୀ ଗୃହଟି ମଧ୍ୟ ତିଆରି କଲା। ସେ କେତେକ କୃଷକଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ବଗିଗ୍ଭକୁ ଭାଗରେ ଦେଲା, ତା'ପରେ ସେ ପରିଭ୍ରମଣ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ସେ ସ୍ଥାନ ଛାଡ଼ି ଗ୍ଭଲିଗଲା।
2 “ପରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷା ତୋଳିବା ବେଳ ଆସିଲା, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ଗ୍ଭକରକୁ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରୁ ତାହାଙ୍କର ନିଜ ଭାଗ ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ପଠାଇଲା। 3 କିନ୍ତୁ କୃଷକମାନେ ଗ୍ଭକରଟିକୁ ଧରି ପ୍ରହାର କଲେ ଓ ତାକୁ କିଛି ନ ଦେଇ ଘୋଉଡ଼େଇ ଦେଲେ। 4 ତା'ପରେ ସେହି ଲୋକଟି ଆଉ ଜଣେ ଗ୍ଭକରକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ପଠାଇଲା। ସେମାନେ ଏହି ଗ୍ଭକରର ମୁଣ୍ଡକୁ ପିଟିଲେ ଓ ତାକୁ ଅପମାନ ଦେଲେ। 5 ତା'ପରେ ସେ ଆଉ ଜଣେ ଗ୍ଭକରକୁ ପଠାଇଲା। କୃଷକମାନେ ଏହି ଗ୍ଭକରଟିକୁ ଜୀବନରେ ମାରିଦେଲେ। ସେ ଲୋକଟି ଆଉ ଅଧିକ ଗ୍ଭକରଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ କୃଷକମାନେ କେତେକଙ୍କୁ ପିଟିଲେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ କେତେଙ୍କୁ ଜୀବନରେ ମାରିଦେଲେ।
6 “ଲୋକଟି ପାଖରେ କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ପାଠାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଆଉ ଜଣେ ମାତ୍ର ବାକି ଥିଲା। ସେ ଜଣକ ତାହାର ପୁଅ। ସେହି ଲୋକଟି ପୁଅକୁ ଖୁବ୍ ଭଲ ପାଉଥିଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ପୁଅକୁ ପଠାଇବାକୁ ସ୍ଥିର କଲା। କାରଣ କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ପଠାଇବା ପାଇଁ ପୁଅ ହିଁ ଶେଷ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଥିଲା। ସେ କହିଲା, ‘କୃଷକମାନେ ମୋର ପୁଅକୁ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦେବେ।’
7 “କିନ୍ତୁ କୃଷକମାନେ କୁହାକୁହି ହେଲେ, ‘ଏହି ଲୋକଟି ବଗିଗ୍ଭ ମାଲିକର ପୁଅ। ବଗିଗ୍ଭର ସେ ଉତ୍ତରାଧିକାରୀ। ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାକୁ ମାରିଦେଲେ ବଗିଗ୍ଭଟି ଆମ୍ଭର ହୋଇଯିବ’। 8 ତେଣୁ କୃଷକମାନେ ମାଲିକର ପୁଅକୁ ଧରି ନେଇ ଜୀବନରେ ମାରିଦେଲେ ଓ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ବାହାରକୁ ଫିଙ୍ଗିଦେଲେ।
9 “ଏବେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ମାଲିକ କ’ଣ କରିବ? ସେ ଆସି ସେହି କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମାରି ପକାଇବ ଓ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରକୁ ଅନ୍ୟ କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଇଦେବ। 10 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ’ଣ ଏହି ଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ପଢ଼ି ନାହଁ?
“ଯେଉଁ ପଥରକୁ କାରିଗରମାନେ ଅଦରକାରୀ ମନେ କଲେ, ସେହି ପଥର
‘କିନ୍ତୁ କୋଣର ପ୍ରଧାନ ମୂଳଦୁଆ ପଥର[b] ହୋଇଗଲା।
11 ପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହା କଲେ,
ଏବଂ ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟଜନକ।’”(A)
12 ଏହି ଯିହୂଦୀନେତାମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଶୁଣିଲେ। ଏହା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଥିଲା ବୋଲି ସେମାନେ ଜାଣି ପାରିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନେ ଉପାୟ ଖୋଜି ବସିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରୁଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସେମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଗ୍ଭଲିଗଲେ।
ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଫାନ୍ଦରେ ପକାଇବାକୁ ଯିହୂଦୀ ନେତାମାନଙ୍କ ଚକ୍ରାନ୍ତ

13 ପରେ ଯିହୂଦୀ ନେତାମାନେ କେତେକ ଫାରୂଶୀ ଓ ହେରୋଦୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। ସେମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଭୁଲ୍ ଧରି ଫାନ୍ଦରେ ପକାଇବାକୁ ଗ୍ଭହୁଁଥିଲେ। 14 ଫାରୂଶୀ ଓ ହେରୋଦୀୟମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଇ କହିଲେ, “ଗୁରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିଛୁ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବହୁତ ଭଲ ଲୋକ। ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ କ’ଣ ଭାବୁଛନ୍ତି, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେବେ ଚିନ୍ତା କର ନାହିଁ। ସବୁ ଲୋକ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ସମାନ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଗ୍ଭହୁଁଥିବା ଜୀବନର ମାର୍ଗ ବିଷୟରେ ଠିକ୍ ଉପଦେଶ ଦେଉଛ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, କାଇସରଙ୍କୁ କର ଦେବା ଉଚିତ୍ କି ନୁହେଁ?”
15 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଗ୍ଭଲ୍ବାଜି ବୁଝିଗଲେ। ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଗ୍ଭରିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଭଲ କଥା କହି କାହିଁକି ଫାନ୍ଦରେ ପକାଇବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଛ? ମୋ’ ପାଖକୁ ରୂପାଟଙ୍କାଟିଏ ଆଣ, ମୁଁ ତାକୁ ଦେଖେ।” 16 ସେମାନେ ରୂପାଟଙ୍କାଟିଏ ନେଇ ଆସିଲେ। ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଗ୍ଭରିଲେ, “ମୁଦ୍ରାଟି ଉପରେ କାହାର ଛବି ଅଙ୍କିତ ହୋଇଛି? ତା’ ଉପରେ କାହାର ନାମ ଲେଖା ଯାଇଛି?” ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, “ଏହା କାଇସରଙ୍କ ଛବି ଓ କାଇସରଙ୍କ ନାମ।”
17 ତା'ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯାହା କାଇସରଙ୍କର, ତାହା କାଇସରଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ ଓ ଯାହା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର, ତାହା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ।” ଏହା ଶୁଣି ସମସ୍ତେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇଗଲେ।
ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଫାନ୍ଦରେ ପକାଇବାକୁ କେତେକ ସାଦ୍ଦୂକୀଙ୍କର ଚକ୍ରାନ୍ତ
(ମାଥିଉ 22:23-33; ଲୂକ 20:27-40)
18 ତା'ପରେ କେତେକ ସାଦ୍ଦୂକୀ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସାଦ୍ଦୂକୀମାନେ ଦାବୀ କରନ୍ତି ଯେ, ମଣିଷ ମୃତ୍ୟୁପରେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ହେବ ନାହିଁ। 19 ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, “ଗୁରୁ, ମୋଶା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଲେଖିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଯଦି କୌଣସି ବିବାହିତ ଲୋକ ପିଲାପିଲି ନ ଥାଇ ମରି ଯାଏ, ତେବେ ତା'ର ଭାଇ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଟିକୁ ବିବାହ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ତା'ହେଲେ ସେହି ମୃତ ଭାଇଟି ପାଇଁ ବଂଶ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରି ପାରିବ। 20 ଥରେ ସାତ ଭାଇ ଥିଲେ। ସବୁଠାରୁ ବଡ଼ ଭାଇ ବିବାହ କଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ କୌଣସି ପିଲାପିଲି ନ ଥାଇ ସେ ମରିଗଲା। 21 ତେଣୁ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଭାଇ ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଟିକୁ ବିବାହ କଲା। ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ କୌଣସି ପିଲାପିଲି ନ ଥାଇ ମରିଗଲା। ତୃତୀୟ ଭାଇ ପ୍ରତି ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହା ଘଟିଲା। 22 ସାତ ଜଣ ଭାଇ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକକୁ ଜଣକ ପରେ ଜଣେ ବିବାହ କଲେ ଓ ଶେଷରେ ମରିଗଲେ। ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କାହାରି ହେଲେ କୌଣସି ପିଲାପିଲି ନ ଥିଲେ। ଶେଷରେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଟି ମଧ୍ୟ ମରିଗଲା। 23 କିନ୍ତୁ ସାତ ଭାଇଯାକ ତାକୁ ବିବାହ କରିଥିଲେ। ତେବେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ସମୟରେ, ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଟି କାହାର ପତ୍ନୀ ହେବ?”
24 ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ସବୁ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ର କ’ଣ କହେ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଶକ୍ତି ବିଷୟରେ ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣି ନାହଁ କି? ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭ୍ରମରେ ପଡ଼ିଥାଅ। 25 ଲୋକମାନେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁରୁ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ହେବେ ସେତେବେଳେ କୌଣସି ବିବାହ ହେବ ନାହିଁ ସେମାନେ କେହି କାହାରିକୁ ବିବାହ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ, ବରଂ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗଦୂତଙ୍କ ଭଳି ହୋଇଯିବେ। 26 ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥିତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ’ଣ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲିଖିତ ବୁଦାବୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତଟି ପଢ଼ି ନାହଁ? ସେଥିରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କହିଛନ୍ତି, ‘ମୁଁ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ଇସ୍ହାକର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ଯାକୁବର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର’।(B) 27 ଯଦି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ତେବେ ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ଏ ଲୋକମାନେ ମୃତ ନୁହନ୍ତି। କାରଣ ସେ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ନୁହନ୍ତି ବରଂ ସେ ଜୀବିତମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର। ହେ ସାଦ୍ଦୂକୀମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବଡ଼ ଭ୍ରମରେ ପଡ଼ିଛ।”
କେଉଁ ଆଦେଶ ବହୁତ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ
(ମାଥିଉ 22:34-40; ଲୂକ 10:25-28)
28 ଜଣେ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସାଦ୍ଦୂକୀ ଓ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଯୁକ୍ତିତର୍କ କରୁଥିବାର ସେ ଶୁଣିଲେ। ସେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ, ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନର ଯଥାର୍ଥ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ସେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପଗ୍ଭରିଲେ, “କେଉଁ ଆଦେଶଟି ସବୁଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ?”
29 ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ସବୁଠାରୁ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଆଦେଶଟି ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରର: ‘ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ଶୁଣ। ଆମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏକମାତ୍ର ପ୍ରଭୁ। 30 ସମସ୍ତ ହୃଦୟରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଆତ୍ମାରେ, ସମସ୍ତ ମନରେ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଶକ୍ତିରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କର।’(C) 31 ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଆଦେଶଟି ହେଉଛି ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରର: ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜକୁ ଯେପରି ପ୍ରେମ କର, ନିଜର ପଡ଼ୋଶୀକୁ ସେହିପରି ପ୍ରେମ କର’(D) ଏହି ଦୁଇଟି ଆଦେଶ ଛଡ଼ା ଆଉ ବଡ଼ ଆଦେଶ କିଛି ନାହିଁ।”
32 ଏହା ଶୁଣି ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଜଣକ କହିଲେ, “ଗୁରୁ, ପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯେ, ଏକ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛଡ଼ା ଆଉ ଅନ୍ୟ କେହି ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଠିକ୍ କହିଛ। 33 ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ଜଣେ ଲୋକକୁ ସମସ୍ତ ହୃଦୟ, ସମସ୍ତ ମନ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଶକ୍ତି ଦେଇ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବାକୁ ହେବ। ସେ ଯେପରି ନିଜକୁ ଭଲ ପାଏ, ତାକୁ ଅନ୍ୟକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି ଭଲ ପାଇବାକୁ ହେବ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଯେତେ ପଶୁ ବଳି ଓ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ ଦାନ ଅର୍ପଣ କରୁ, ସେହି ଗୁଡ଼ିକଠାରୁ ଏହି ଦୁଇଟି ଆଦେଶ ଅଧିକ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ।”
34 ଯୀଶୁ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ, ଲୋକଟି ବୁଝିବିଗ୍ଭରି ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଭଳି ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇଛି। ସେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟଠାରୁ ଦୂରରେ ନାହଁ।” ଏହା ପରେ ଆଉ କେହିହେଲେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କୌଣସି ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଗ୍ଭରିବାକୁ ସାହସ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର
(ମାଥିଉ 22:41-46; ଲୂକ 20:41-44)
35 ଯୀଶୁ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଉପଦେଶ ଦେଲାବେଳେ ପଗ୍ଭରିଲେ, “ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ କିପରି କହୁଛନ୍ତି ଯେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର? 36 ସ୍ୱୟଂ ଦାଉଦ ପବିତ୍ରଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ କହିଥିଲେ,
‘ପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମୋର ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଥିଲେ:
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋ’ ପାଖରେ, ମୋହର ଡାହାଣ ପଟେ ବସ,
ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅଧୀନକୁ ନେଇ ଆସିବି।’(E)
37 ଦାଉଦ ନିଜେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ‘ପ୍ରଭୁ’ ବୋଲି କହିଥିଲେ। ତେବେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ କିଭଳି ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ହୋଇ ପାରିବେ?” ଜମା ହୋଇଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଉପଦେଶ ଖୁସୀ ମନରେ ଶୁଣୁଥିଲେ।
ଯୀଶୁ ବିଧି ପ୍ରଗ୍ଭରକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାଲୋଚନା କଲେ
(ମାଥିଉ 23:6-7; ଲୂକ 11:43; 20:45-47)
38 ଯୀଶୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ ଗ୍ଭଲିଥିଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, “ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସାବଧାନ ରୁହ। ସେମାନେ ଲମ୍ବା ଲମ୍ବା ରାଜକୀୟ ପୋଷାକ ପିନ୍ଧି ଏଣେ ତେଣେ ବୁଲିବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଆନ୍ତି। ସେମାନେ ଭଲ ପାଆନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଲୋକେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ହାଟ ବଜାରରେ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦେଖାନ୍ତୁ। 39 ସମାଜଗୃହରେ ସେମାନେ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଆସନରେ ବସିବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଆନ୍ତି। ଭୋଜିରେ ସେମାନେ, ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସ୍ଥାନ ପାଇବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଆନ୍ତି। 40 ସେମାନେ ବିଧବାମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ନୀଚ ବ୍ୟବହାର ଦେଖାନ୍ତି। ସେମାନେ ବିଧବାମାନଙ୍କର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଅପହରଣ କରି ନିଅନ୍ତି। ଭଲ ଦେଖେଇ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନେ ଲମ୍ବା ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରନ୍ତି। ଏଭଳି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କଠିନ ଶାସ୍ତି ଦେବେ।”
ଏକ ବିଧବାର ପ୍ରକୃତ ଦାନ
(ଲୂକ 21:1-4)
41 ଯୀଶୁ ମନ୍ଦିରର ଦାନ ବାକ୍ସ ପାଖରେ ବସିଥିଲେ। ଲୋକମାନେ କିଭଳି ଭାବରେ ଦାନ ବାକ୍ସରେ ଟଙ୍କା ଭର୍ତ୍ତି କରୁଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ସେ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କରୁଥିଲେ। ବହୁତ ଧନୀ ଲୋକ ଦାନ ବାକ୍ସରେ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଟଙ୍କା ପକାଉଥିଲେ। 42 ପରେ ଗରିବ ବିଧବାଟିଏ ସେଠାକୁ ଆସିଲା ଓ ସେଥିରେ ସେ ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଇଟି ତମ୍ବା-ମୁଦ୍ରା ପକେଇଲା। ଏହି ମୁଦ୍ରା ଦୁଇଟିର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ପଇସାଟିଏ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ବି ସମାନ ନୁହେଁ।
43 ତା'ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ନିଜ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାଖକୁ ଡାକି କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଛି, ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଧନୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦେଇଥିବା ଦାନଠାରୁ ଏହି ଗରିବ ବିଧବାଟି ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ବହୁତ ଅଧିକ ଦେଇଛି। 44 କାରଣ ଧନୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଅଛି। ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଦରକାର ନ ଥିବା ବଳକା ଅର୍ଥରୁ ହିଁ ଦାନ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ବିଧବାଟି ବହୁତ ଗରିବ। ଏହି ଗରିବଟି ନିକଟରେ ଯାହା ଥିଲା, ସେ ସବୁତକ ଦାନ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଦେଇ ଦେଇଛି। ତା'ର ଚଳିବା ପାଇଁ ସେତିକି ମାତ୍ର ସମ୍ବଳ ଥିଲା।”

The Parable of the Tenants(A)
12 Jesus then began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard.(B) He put a wall around it, dug a pit for the winepress and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. 2 At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants to collect from them some of the fruit of the vineyard. 3 But they seized him, beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 4 Then he sent another servant to them; they struck this man on the head and treated him shamefully. 5 He sent still another, and that one they killed. He sent many others; some of them they beat, others they killed.
6 “He had one left to send, a son, whom he loved. He sent him last of all,(C) saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
7 “But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ 8 So they took him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.
9 “What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others. 10 Haven’t you read this passage of Scripture:
“‘The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;(D)
11 the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes’[a]?”(E)
12 Then the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders looked for a way to arrest him because they knew he had spoken the parable against them. But they were afraid of the crowd;(F) so they left him and went away.(G)
Paying the Imperial Tax to Caesar(H)
13 Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians(I) to Jesus to catch him(J) in his words. 14 They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay the imperial tax[b] to Caesar or not? 15 Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”
But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” 16 They brought the coin, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”
“Caesar’s,” they replied.
17 Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”(K)
And they were amazed at him.
Marriage at the Resurrection(L)
18 Then the Sadducees,(M) who say there is no resurrection,(N) came to him with a question. 19 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.(O) 20 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children. 21 The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third. 22 In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too. 23 At the resurrection[c] whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”
24 Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures(P) or the power of God? 25 When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.(Q) 26 Now about the dead rising—have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’[d]?(R) 27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
The Greatest Commandment(S)
28 One of the teachers of the law(T) came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[f](U) 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[g](V) There is no commandment greater than these.”
32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.(W) 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”(X)
34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”(Y) And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.(Z)
Whose Son Is the Messiah?(AA)(AB)
35 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts,(AC) he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David?(AD) 36 David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit,(AE) declared:
37 David himself calls him ‘Lord.’ How then can he be his son?”
The large crowd(AG) listened to him with delight.
Warning Against the Teachers of the Law
38 As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, 39 and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.(AH) 40 They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.”
The Widow’s Offering(AI)
41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put(AJ) and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”(AK)

7 But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.'
8 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
9 What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.
10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
11 This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
12 And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
13 And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
14 And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
16 And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.
18 Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,
19 Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
26 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
35 And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David?
36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
37 David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
38 And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:
40 Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.
41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
