²⁵ The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
    to the one who seeks him;^(A)

⁷ But as for me, I watch^(A) in hope^(B) for the Lord,
    I wait for God my Savior;
    my God will hear^(C) me.

³¹ but those who hope^(A) in the Lord
    will renew their strength.^(B)
They will soar on wings like eagles;^(C)
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.^(D)

⁵ I wait for the Lord,^(A) my whole being waits,^(B)
    and in his word^(C) I put my hope.
⁶ I wait for the Lord
    more than watchmen^(D) wait for the morning,
    more than watchmen wait for the morning.^(E)

⁴ Blessed is the one^(L)
    who trusts in the Lord,^(M)
who does not look to the proud,^(N)
    to those who turn aside to false gods.^[b](O)
5 Many, Lord my God,
    are the wonders^(P) you have done,
    the things you planned for us.
None can compare^(Q) with you;
    were I to speak and tell of your deeds,
    they would be too many^(R) to declare.

³⁴ Hope in the Lord^(A)
    and keep his way.^(B)
He will exalt you to inherit the land;
    when the wicked are destroyed,^(C) you will see^(D) it.

“Surely this is our God;^(B)
    we trusted^(C) in him, and he saved^(D) us.
This is the Lord, we trusted in him;
    let us rejoice^(E) and be glad in his salvation.”^(F)

²⁶ it is good to wait quietly^(A)
    for the salvation of the Lord.^(B)

¹⁴ Wait^(A) for the Lord;
    be strong^(B) and take heart
    and wait for the Lord.
