⁷ then it goes down from Janoah to Ataroth and ^(A)to Naarah, and touches Jericho, ending at the Jordan.

^28 (A)Their possessions and settlements were Bethel and its towns, and to the east Naaran, and to the west ^(B)Gezer and its towns, Shechem and its towns, and Ayyah and its towns;

²⁶ Joshua laid an oath on them at that time, saying, ^(A)“Cursed before the Lord be the man who rises up and rebuilds this city, Jericho.

The Fall of Jericho

6 Now Jericho was shut up inside and outside because of the people of Israel. None went out, and none came in.

¹⁶ the waters coming down from above stood and rose up in a heap very far away, at Adam, the city that is beside ^(A)Zarethan, and those flowing down toward the Sea of ^(B)the Arabah, ^(C)the Salt Sea, were completely cut off. And the people passed over opposite Jericho.

⁴⁸ And they set out from the mountains of Abarim and camped in ^(A)the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho;
