¹⁰ For the ^(A)stars of heaven and their constellations
Will not flash forth their light;
The ^(B)sun will be dark when it rises
And the moon will not shed its light.

²³ Then the ^(A)moon will be humiliated and the sun ashamed,
For ^(B)Yahweh of hosts will reign on ^(C)Mount Zion and in Jerusalem,
And His glory will be before His elders.

⁷ And when I ^(A)extinguish you,
I will ^(B)cover the heavens and darken their ^(C)stars;
I will cover the ^(D)sun with a cloud,
And the moon will not give its light.

³¹ The ^(A)sun will be turned into darkness
And the moon into blood
Before the ^(B)great and awesome day of Yahweh comes.

¹⁵ The ^(A)sun and moon grow dark,
And the stars lose their brightness.
¹⁶ And Yahweh ^(B)roars from Zion
And ^(C)gives forth His voice from Jerusalem,
And the ^(D)heavens and the earth quake.
But Yahweh is a ^(E)refuge for His people
And a ^(F)strong defense to the sons of Israel.
¹⁷ Then you will ^(G)know that I am Yahweh your God,
Dwelling in Zion, My ^(H)holy mountain.
So Jerusalem will be ^(I)holy,
And ^(J)strangers will pass through it no more.

¹⁸ And it will be in that day,
That the ^(K)mountains will drip with ^[a]sweet wine,
And the hills will ^(L)flow with milk,
And all the ^(M)brooks of Judah will flow with water;
And a ^(N)spring will go out from the house of Yahweh
To water the valley of ^[b]Shittim.
¹⁹ Egypt will become a desolation,
And Edom will become a desolate wilderness,
Because of the ^(O)violence ^[c]done to the sons of Judah,
In whose land they have shed innocent blood.
²⁰ But Judah will be ^(P)inhabited forever
And Jerusalem from generation to generation.
²¹ And I will ^(Q)avenge their blood which I have not avenged,
Indeed, Yahweh dwells in Zion.
