¹⁹ Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is ^(A)the finger of God.” But Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the Lord had said.

²⁰ But if it is by ^(A)the finger of God that I cast out demons, then ^(B)the kingdom of God has come upon you.

⁵ The Egyptians ^(A)shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring out the people of Israel from among them.”

²⁸ But if it is ^(A)by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then ^(B)the kingdom of God has come upon you.

¹⁶ saying, ^(A)“What shall we do with these men? For that ^(B)a notable sign has been performed through them is evident to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.

⁴⁷ So the chief priests and the Pharisees ^(A)gathered ^(B)the council and said, ^(C)“What are we to do? For this man performs many signs.

¹⁹ Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in ^(A)a vision of the night. Then Daniel ^(B)blessed the ^(C)God of heaven.

^10 (A)The Chaldeans answered the king and said, “There is not a man on earth who can meet the king's demand, for no great and powerful king has asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or ^(B)Chaldean. ¹¹ The thing that the king asks is difficult, and no one can show it to the king except ^(C)the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.”

⁹ and watch. If it goes up on the way to its own land, to ^(A)Beth-shemesh, then it is he who has done us this great harm, but if not, then we shall know that it is not ^(B)his hand that struck us; it happened to us by coincidence.”
