1 Pablo, apóstol de Cristo Jesús por la voluntad de Dios,
a los fieles creyentes en Cristo Jesús que están en Éfeso:[a]
2 Que Dios nuestro Padre y el Señor Jesucristo les concedan gracia y paz.
Bendiciones espirituales en Cristo
3 Bendito sea Dios, Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que nos ha bendecido en las regiones celestiales con toda bendición espiritual en Cristo. 4 Dios nos escogió en él antes de la creación del mundo, para que vivamos en santidad y sin mancha delante de él. En amor 5 nos predestinó para ser adoptados como hijos suyos por medio de Jesucristo, según el buen propósito de su voluntad, 6 para alabanza de su gloriosa gracia, que nos concedió en su Amado. 7 En él tenemos la redención mediante su sangre, el perdón de nuestros pecados, conforme a las riquezas de su gracia 8 la cual Dios nos dio en abundancia con toda sabiduría y entendimiento. 9 Él nos hizo conocer el misterio de su voluntad conforme al buen propósito que de antemano estableció en Cristo, 10 para llevarlo a cabo cuando se cumpliera el tiempo, esto es, reunir en él todas las cosas, tanto las del cielo como las de la tierra.
11 En Cristo también fuimos hechos herederos,[b] pues fuimos predestinados según el plan de aquel que hace todas las cosas conforme al designio de su voluntad, 12 a fin de que nosotros, que fuimos los primeros en poner nuestra esperanza en Cristo, seamos para alabanza de su gloria. 13 En él también ustedes, cuando oyeron el mensaje de la verdad, el evangelio que les trajo la salvación, y lo creyeron, fueron marcados con el sello que es el Espíritu Santo prometido. 14 Este garantiza nuestra herencia hasta que llegue la redención final del pueblo adquirido por Dios,[c] para alabanza de su gloria.
Acción de gracias e intercesión
15 Por eso yo, por mi parte, desde que me enteré de la fe que tienen en el Señor Jesús y del amor que demuestran por todos los creyentes, 16 no he dejado de dar gracias por ustedes al recordarlos en mis oraciones. 17 Pido que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre glorioso, les dé el Espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación, para que lo conozcan mejor. 18 Pido también que les sean iluminados los ojos del corazón para que sepan a qué esperanza él los ha llamado, cuál es la riqueza de su gloriosa herencia entre pueblo santo, 19 y cuán incomparable es la grandeza de su poder a favor de los que creemos. Ese poder es la fuerza grandiosa y eficaz 20 que Dios ejerció en Cristo cuando lo resucitó de entre los muertos y lo sentó a su derecha en las regiones celestiales, 21 muy por encima de todo gobierno y autoridad, poder y dominio, y de cualquier otro nombre que se invoque, no solo en este mundo, sino también en el venidero. 22 Dios sometió todas las cosas al dominio de Cristo[d] y lo dio como cabeza de todo a la iglesia. 23 Esta, que es su cuerpo, es la plenitud de aquel que lo llena todo por completo.

Beneficios de la redención
3 Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo(G), que nos ha bendecido con toda bendición espiritual en los lugares celestiales en Cristo(H), 4 según nos escogió(I) en Él antes de la fundación del mundo(J), para que fuéramos[c] santos y sin mancha(K) delante de Él. En amor(L) 5 nos predestinó[d](M) para adopción como hijos para sí(N) mediante Jesucristo, conforme al beneplácito[e] de su voluntad(O), 6 para alabanza de la gloria(P) de su gracia que gratuitamente ha impartido sobre nosotros en el Amado(Q). 7 En Él[f] tenemos redención(R) mediante su sangre(S), el perdón de nuestros pecados(T) según las riquezas de su gracia(U) 8 que ha hecho abundar para con nosotros. En toda sabiduría y discernimiento[g] 9 nos dio a conocer el misterio(V) de su voluntad, según el beneplácito(W) que se propuso en Él(X), 10 con miras a una buena administración en el[h] cumplimiento de los tiempos(Y), es decir, de reunir todas las cosas en Cristo(Z), tanto las que están en los cielos, como las que están en la tierra. 2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,(G) who has blessed us in the heavenly realms(H) with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us(I) in him before the creation of the world(J) to be holy and blameless(K) in his sight. Thanksgiving and Prayer
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus(AI) and your love for all God’s people,(AJ) 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you,(AK) remembering you in my prayers.(AL) 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,(AM) may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom(AN) and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened(AO) in order that you may know the hope to which he has called(AP) you, the riches(AQ) of his glorious inheritance(AR) in his holy people,(AS) 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he[d] made known to us the mystery(U) of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed(V) in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment(W)—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.(X)
11 In him we were also chosen,[e] having been predestined(Y) according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose(Z) of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.(AA) 13 And you also were included in Christ(AB) when you heard the message of truth,(AC) the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal,(AD) the promised Holy Spirit,(AE) 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance(AF) until the redemption(AG) of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.(AH)
Thanksgiving and Prayer
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus(AI) and your love for all God’s people,(AJ) 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you,(AK) remembering you in my prayers.(AL) 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,(AM) may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom(AN) and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened(AO) in order that you may know the hope to which he has called(AP) you, the riches(AQ) of his glorious inheritance(AR) in his holy people,(AS) 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power(AT) is the same as the mighty strength(AU) 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead(AV) and seated him at his right hand(AW) in the heavenly realms,(AX) 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion,(AY) and every name(AZ) that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.(BA) 22 And God placed all things under his feet(BB) and appointed him to be head(BC) over everything for the church, 23 which is his body,(BD) the fullness of him(BE) who fills everything in every way.(BF)
