³¹ and said, ‘Cornelius, ^(A)your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God.

³ And another angel came and stood ^(A)at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with ^(B)the prayers of all the saints on ^(C)the golden altar before the throne, ⁴ and ^(D)the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel.

⁴ And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms ^(A)have ascended ^(B)as a memorial before God.

⁸ And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders ^(A)fell down before the Lamb, ^(B)each holding a harp, and ^(C)golden bowls full of incense, ^(D)which are the prayers of the saints.

¹⁰ For ^(A)God is not unjust so as to overlook ^(B)your work and the love that you have shown for his name in ^(C)serving the saints, as you still do.

¹⁸ I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, ^(A)having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, ^(B)a fragrant offering, ^(C)a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.

¹³ But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for ^(A)your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and ^(B)you shall call his name John.

¹² Then he said to me, ^(A)“Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you ^(B)set your heart to understand and ^(C)humbled yourself before your God, ^(D)your words have been heard, ^(E)and I have come because of your words.

^23 (A)At the beginning of your pleas for mercy a word went out, ^(B)and I have come to tell it to you, for ^(C)you are greatly loved. Therefore consider the word ^(D)and understand the vision.
