十个伴娘的比喻
25 “那时，天国就像十个伴娘提着灯去迎接新郎， 2 其中五个是糊涂的，五个是聪明的。 3 五个糊涂的只顾拿着灯，却不预备油； 4 那些聪明的不但拿着灯，还用器皿预备了足够的油。 5 新郎迟迟未到，她们等得困倦，便打盹睡着了。
6 “到了半夜，忽然听见有人喊道，‘新郎来了！出来迎接吧！’ 7 伴娘们醒来，把灯点亮。 8 糊涂的伴娘对聪明的伴娘说，‘请给我们一些油吧，因为我们的灯快要灭了！’
9 “聪明的伴娘回答说，‘不行，我们的油不够大家用的，你们去油店买吧！’
10 “当糊涂的伴娘去买油的时候，新郎来了。那些预备好的伴娘跟他一同进去参加婚宴，门就关了。 11 后来，其他伴娘回来了，喊道，‘主啊！主啊！请给我们开门吧！’
12 “新郎却说，‘我实在告诉你们，我不认识你们。’
13 “所以，你们要警醒，因为你们不知道我回来的日子和时辰。
才干的比喻
14 “天国就像一个人即将远行，他召来自己的奴仆，把产业托付给他们， 15 按各人的才干分别交给一个人五千银币，一个人两千银币，一个人一千银币，然后便离开了。 16 得到五千银币的立刻去做买卖，结果赚了五千； 17 得到两千银币的也赚了两千； 18 可是得到一千银币的却挖了一个洞，把主人的钱藏在地里。 19 过了很久，这些奴仆的主人回来了，要跟他们结帐。 20 得到五千银币的奴仆带来了另外的五千，说，‘主人，你交给我五千银币，请看，我又赚了五千。’
21 “主人说，‘做得好！你真是个又良善又忠心的奴仆。既然你在小事上忠心，我要把更大的事交给你。进来分享你主人的快乐吧！’
22 “得到两千银币的奴仆也上前说，‘主人，你交给我两千银币，请看，我又赚了两千。’
23 “主人说，‘做得好！你真是个又良善又忠心的奴仆，既然你在小事上忠心，我要把更大的事交给你。进来分享你主人的快乐吧！’
24 “得到一千银币的奴仆也上前说，‘主人，我知道你为人苛刻，没有播种的地方也要收割，没有撒种的地方也要收获。 25 我很害怕，就去把你的钱藏在地里。请看，这是你的钱。’
26 “主人说，‘你这又可恶又懒惰的奴仆！既然你知道我没有播种的地方也要收割，没有撒种的地方也要收获， 27 就应该把钱存入钱庄，等我回来时，可以连本带利还给我。’
28 “主人接着说，‘收回他的一千银币，赏给那个有一万银币的奴仆。 29 因为凡有的，还要给他更多，使他丰富有余；凡没有的，连他仅有的，也要夺去。 30 把这没用的奴仆扔进外边的黑暗里，他必在那里哀哭切齿。’
末日的审判
31 “当人子在祂的荣耀中与众天使降临的时候，祂要坐在荣耀的宝座上， 32 万民要聚集在祂面前。祂要把他们分开，就像牧人把绵羊和山羊分开一样。 33 祂要把绵羊放在右边，山羊放在左边。 34 那时，王会对右边的人说，‘我父所赐福的人啊，来承受创世以来为你们预备的国度吧。 35 因为我饥饿时，你们给我吃的；我口渴时，你们给我喝的；我身在异乡时，你们接待我； 36 我赤身露体时，你们给我穿的；我生病时，你们照顾我；我坐牢时，你们来看我。’
37 “那些义人会回答说，‘主啊！我们什么时候见你饿了就给你吃的？见你渴了就给你喝的？ 38 见你身在异乡就接待你？见你赤身露体就给你穿的呢？ 39 我们又什么时候见你生病或坐牢，就去看你呢？’
40 “王会回答说，‘我实在告诉你们，你们帮助我最卑微的一个弟兄，就是帮助我了。’
41 “王又对左边的人说，‘你们这些被咒诅的人，走开！到专为魔鬼及其使者预备的永远不灭的火里去吧！ 42 因为我饥饿时，你们不给我吃的；我口渴时，你们不给我喝的； 43 我身在异乡时，你们不接待我；我赤身露体时，你们不给我衣服；我生病时，你们不照顾我；我坐牢时，你们不来看我。’
44 “他们会问，‘主啊，我们什么时候见你饿了，或渴了，或身在异乡，或赤身露体，或病了，或坐牢，却没有帮助你呢？’
45 “王会回答说，‘我实在告诉你们，你们没有帮助我最卑微的一个弟兄，就是没有帮助我。’ 46 这些人要受永远的刑罚，但义人要得到永远的生命。”
谋害耶稣
26 耶稣讲完了这番话后，对门徒说： 2 “你们知道，两天后就是逾越节，到时人子会被出卖，被钉在十字架上。” 3 那时，祭司长和民间的长老正聚集在大祭司该亚法的府里， 4 策划逮捕、杀害耶稣。 5 但他们认为在节日期间不宜下手，因为可能会在百姓中引起骚乱。
耶稣受膏
6 当耶稣在伯大尼患过麻风病的西门家里时， 7 有个女子趁着祂坐席的时候，把一瓶珍贵的香膏倒在祂头上。
8 门徒看见后，生气地说：“真浪费， 9 这瓶香膏值不少钱，用来周济穷人多好！”
10 耶稣看出他们的心思，便说：“何必为难这女子？她在我身上做的是一件美事。 11 因为你们身边总会有穷人，可是你们身边不会总有我。 12 她把香膏浇在我身上是为我的安葬做准备。 13 我实在告诉你们，无论福音传到世界哪个角落，人们都会传扬这女人的事迹，纪念她。”
犹大出卖耶稣
14 后来，十二门徒中的加略人犹大去见祭司长，说： 15 “如果我把耶稣交给你们，你们肯出多少钱？”他们就给了他三十块银子。 16 从那时起，犹大就寻找机会出卖耶稣。
最后的晚餐
17 除酵节的第一天，门徒来问耶稣说：“我们该在什么地方为你准备逾越节的晚餐呢？”
18 耶稣说：“你们进城去，到某人那里对他说，‘老师说祂的时候到了，祂要与门徒在你家中过逾越节。’” 19 门徒照耶稣的吩咐准备了逾越节的晚餐。
20 傍晚，耶稣和十二个门徒吃晚餐。 21 席间，耶稣说：“我实在告诉你们，你们中间有一个人要出卖我。”
22 他们都非常忧愁，相继追问耶稣，说：“主啊，肯定不是我吧？”
23 祂说：“那和我一同在盘子里蘸饼吃的就是要出卖我的人。 24 人子一定会受害，正如圣经上有关祂的记载，但出卖人子的人有祸了，他还不如不生在这世上！”
25 出卖耶稣的犹大问祂：“老师，是我吗？”
耶稣说：“你自己说了。”
26 他们吃的时候，耶稣拿起饼来，祝谢后掰开分给门徒，说：“拿去吃吧，这是我的身体。”
27 接着又拿起杯来，祝谢后递给门徒，说：“你们都喝吧， 28 这是我为万人所流的立约之血，为了使罪得到赦免。 29 我告诉你们，从今天起，一直到我在我父的国与你们共饮新酒的那一天之前，我不会再喝这葡萄酒。” 30 他们唱完诗歌，就出门去了橄榄山。
预言彼得不认主
31 耶稣对门徒说：“今天晚上，你们都要离弃我。因为圣经上说，‘我要击打牧人，羊群将四散。’ 32 但我复活后，要先你们一步去加利利。”
33 彼得说：“即使所有的人都离弃你，我也永远不会离弃你！”
34 耶稣说：“我实在告诉你，今夜鸡叫以前，你会三次不认我。”
35 彼得说：“就算要我跟你一起死，我也不会不认你！”其余的门徒也都这样说。
在客西马尼祷告
36 耶稣和门徒到了一个叫客西马尼的地方，祂对门徒说：“你们坐在这里，我到那边去祷告。” 37 祂带了彼得和西庇太的两个儿子一起去。祂心里非常忧伤痛苦， 38 就对他们说：“我心里非常忧伤，几乎要死，你们留在这里跟我一起警醒。”
39 祂稍往前走，俯伏在地上祷告：“我父啊！如果可以，求你撤去此杯。然而，愿你的旨意成就，而非我的意愿。”
40 耶稣回到三个门徒那里，见他们都睡着了，就对彼得说：“难道你们不能跟我一同警醒一时吗？ 41 你们要警醒祷告，免得陷入诱惑。你们的心灵虽然愿意，肉体却很软弱。”
42 祂第二次去祷告说：“我父啊！如果我非喝此杯不可，愿你的旨意成就。” 43 祂回来时见他们又睡着了，因为他们困得眼皮发沉。 44 耶稣再次离开他们，第三次去祷告，说的是同样的话。
45 然后，祂回到门徒那里，对他们说：“你们还在睡觉，还在休息吗？看啊！时候到了，人子要被出卖，交在罪人手里了。 46 起来，我们走吧。看，出卖我的人已经来了！”
耶稣被捕
47 耶稣还在说话的时候，十二门徒中的犹大来了，随行的还有祭司长和民间长老派来的一大群拿着刀棍的人。 48 出卖耶稣的犹大预先和他们定了暗号，说：“我亲吻谁，谁就是耶稣，你们把祂抓起来。” 49 犹大随即走到耶稣跟前，说：“老师，你好。”然后亲吻耶稣。
50 耶稣对他说：“朋友，你要做的事，快动手吧。”于是那些人上前，下手捉拿耶稣。 51 耶稣的跟随者中有人伸手拔出佩刀朝大祭司的奴仆砍去，削掉了他一只耳朵。
52 耶稣对他说：“收刀入鞘吧！因为动刀的必死在刀下。 53 难道你不知道，我可以请求我父马上派十二营以上的天使来保护我吗？ 54 我若这样做，圣经上有关这事必如此发生的话又怎能应验呢？”
55 那时，耶稣对众人说：“你们像对付强盗一样拿着刀棍来抓我吗？我天天在圣殿里教导人，你们并没有来抓我。 56 不过这一切事的发生，是要应验先知书上的话。”那时，门徒都丢下祂逃走了。
大祭司审问耶稣
57 捉拿耶稣的人把祂押到大祭司该亚法那里。律法教师和长老已聚集在那里。 58 彼得远远地跟着耶稣，一直跟到大祭司的院子里。他坐在卫兵当中，想知道事情的结果。
59 祭司长和全公会的人正在寻找假证据来控告耶稣，好定祂死罪。 60 虽然有很多假证人诬告祂，但都找不到真凭实据。最后有两个人上前高声说：
61 “这个人曾经说过，‘我能拆毁圣殿，三天内把它重建起来。’”
62 大祭司站起来质问耶稣：“你不回答吗？这些人作证控告你的是什么呢？” 63 耶稣还是沉默不语。
大祭司又对祂说：“我奉永活上帝的名命令你起誓告诉我们，你是不是上帝的儿子基督？”
64 耶稣说：“如你所言。但我告诉你们，将来你们要看见人子坐在大能者的右边，驾着天上的云降临。”
65 大祭司撕裂衣服，说：“祂亵渎了上帝！我们还需要什么证人呢？你们现在亲耳听见了祂说亵渎的话， 66 你们看怎么办？”
他们回应说：“祂该死！”
67 他们就吐唾沫在祂脸上，挥拳打祂。还有人一边打祂耳光，一边说： 68 “基督啊！给我们说预言吧，是谁在打你？”
彼得三次不认主
69 当时，彼得还坐在外面的院子里，有一个婢女走过来对他说：“你也是跟那个加利利人耶稣一伙的。”
70 彼得却当众否认：“我不知道你在说什么。”
71 正当他走到门口要离开时，另一个婢女看见他，就对旁边的人说：“这个人是跟拿撒勒人耶稣一伙的！”
72 彼得再次否认，并发誓说：“我不认识那个人。” 73 过了一会儿，旁边站着的人过来对彼得说：“你肯定也是他们一伙的，听你的口音就知道了。”
74 彼得又赌咒又发誓，说：“我不认识那个人！”就在这时候，鸡叫了。 75 彼得想起耶稣说的话：“在鸡叫以前，你会三次不认我。”他就跑出去，失声痛哭。

25 “ସେ ସମୟରେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ, ବର ଖୋଜିବାକୁ ବାହାରିଥିବା ଦଶ ଜଣ କୁମାରୀ ଝିଅଙ୍କ ଭଳି ହେବ। ଏହି ଝିଅମାନେ ବର ସହିତ ସକ୍ଷାତ କରିବାକୁ ବାହାରିଥିଲେ। ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଦୀପ ଆଣିଥିଲେ, 2 ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ ପାଞ୍ଚ ଜଣ ବୋକୀ ଥିଲେ। ଆର ପାଞ୍ଚ ଜଣ ଚତୁର ଥିଲେ। 3 ବୋକୀ ଝିଅ ପାଞ୍ଚ ଜଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସାଥୀରେ ଦୀପ ସିନା ନେଇଥିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଦୀପ ଜାଳିବା ପାଇଁ ବେଶୀ ତେଲ ଆଣି ନ ଥିଲେ। 4 ଚତୁର ଝିଅ ପାଞ୍ଚ ଜଣ ଦୀପ ତ ନେଇଥିଲେ, ତା'ଛଡ଼ା କାଚ ପାତ୍ରରେ ଅଧିକ ତେଲ ନେଇଥିଲେ। 5 ବରର ଆସିବା ଡେରି ହୋଇଗଲା, ସବୁ ଝିଅଯାକ କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଶେଷରେ ଶୋଇ ପଡ଼ିଲେ।
6 “ଅଧ ରାତିରେ ଜଣେ କେହି ଘୋଷଣା କଲା, ବର ଆସୁଛନ୍ତି। ବାହାରକୁ ଯାଅ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କର।
7 “ଏ କଥା ଶୁଣି ସବୁ ଝିଅଯାକ ଉଠି ପଡ଼ିଲେ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଦୀପ ସଜାଡ଼ିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। 8 ବୋକୀ ଝିଅମାନେ ଚତୁର ଝିଅମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭ ତେଲରୁ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଟିକିଏ ଦିଅ, ଆମ୍ଭ ଦୀପରୁ ତେଲ ପ୍ରାୟ ସରିଯାଇଛି।’
9 “ଚତୁର ଝିଅମାନେ କହିଲେ, ‘ନା, ନା, ଆମ୍ଭ ତେଲ ଆମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ହେବ ନାହିଁ। ବରଂ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦୋକାନକୁ ଯାଇ ନିଜ ପାଇଁ କିଛି ତେଲ କିଣିଆଣ।’
10 “ତେଣୁ ପାଞ୍ଚ ଜଣ ଯାକ ବୋକୀ ଝୀଅ ତେଲ କିଣିବାକୁ ଗ୍ଭଲିଗଲେ। ସେମାନେ ଗ୍ଭଲିଗଲାପରେ ବର ଆସିଲେ। ଯେଉଁ ଚତୁର ଝିଅଯାକ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ବର ସହିତ ବିବାହ ଭୋଜିକୁ ଗଲେ। ତା'ପରେ କବାଟରେ ତାଲା ପଡ଼ିଗଲା।
11 “ସେହି ସମୟରେ ବାକିତକ ଝିଅ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲେ। ସେମାନ କହିଲେ, ‘ଆଜ୍ଞା! ଆଜ୍ଞା! କବାଟ ଖୋଲନ୍ତୁ। ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଭିତରକୁ ଆସି ପାରିବୁ,’
12 “କିନ୍ତୁ ବର ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ‘ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଛି, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଚିହ୍ନି ନାହିଁ।’
13 “ତେଣୁ ସଦାବେଳେ ଜାଗ୍ରତ ରୁହ, କାରଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର କେଉଁଦିନ ଓ କେଉଁ ସମୟରେ ଆସିବେ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣି ନାହଁ।
ତିନି ଜଣ ଗ୍ଭକରଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ କାହାଣୀ
(ଲୂକ 19:11-27)
14 “ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ଘର ଛାଡ଼ି ବିଦେଶକୁ ବୁଲିବାକୁ ଯାଉଥିବା ଲୋକଟିଏ ଭଳି। ସେହି ଲୋକ ଯିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତା'ର ଗ୍ଭକରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ତା'ର ଅନୁପସ୍ଥିତିରେ ସମସ୍ତ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିର ଯତ୍ନ ନେବାକୁ କହିଲେ। 15 କେଉଁ ଗ୍ଭକର କେତେ ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ନେଇ ପାରିବ, ସେ କଥା ସେ ସ୍ଥିର କଲେ। ସେ ଜଣକୁ ପାଞ୍ଚ ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ଦେଲେ। ଆଉ ଜଣକୁ ଦୁଇ ତୋଡ଼ା, ଓ ତୃତୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ଦେଲେ। ଗ୍ଭକରମାନଙ୍କର ସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟ ଅନୁସାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କାମ ବାଣ୍ଟିଦେଇ ସେ ବୁଲିବାକୁ ଗ୍ଭଲିଗଲେ। 16 ଯେଉଁ ଗ୍ଭକରଟି ପାଞ୍ଚ ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ନେଇଥିଲା, ସେ ତୁରନ୍ତ ସେହି ଟଙ୍କାକୁ ବ୍ୟବସାୟରେ ଲଗାଇଦେଲା। ସେ ଆଉ ପାଞ୍ଚ ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ଲାଭକଲା। 17 ସେହିଭଳି ଯେଉଁ ଗ୍ଭକରଟି ଦୁଇ ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ପାଇଥିଲା, ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଟଙ୍କାକୁ ବ୍ୟବସାୟରେ ଲଗାଇ ଆଉ ଦୁଇ ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ଲାଭ କଲା। 18 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକଟି କେବଳ ଗୋଟିଏ ମାତ୍ର ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ପାଇଥିଲା, ସେ ଯାଇ ତା’ ମାଲିକର ଧନକୁ ନେଇ ମାଟିରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗାତ ଖୋଳି ସେଥିରେ ଲୁଗ୍ଭଇ ରଖିଲା।
19 “ବହୁତ ଦିନ ପରେ ମାଲିକ ଘରକୁ ଫେରି ଆସିଲେ। ସେ ଗ୍ଭକରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲେ, ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଟଙ୍କାରେ କ’ଣ କଲେ, ତାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଗ୍ଭରିଲେ। 20 ଯେଉଁ ଗ୍ଭକରଟି ପାଞ୍ଚ ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ପାଇଥିଲା, ସେ ମାଲିକ ପାଖକୁ ଆଉ ଅଧିକ ପାଞ୍ଚ ତୋଡ଼ା ଆଣି ଦେଲା, ଗ୍ଭକରଟି କହିଲା ‘ଆପଣ ମୋତେ ପାଞ୍ଚ ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ମୁଁ ତା’ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆଉ ପାଞ୍ଚ ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ରୋଜଗାର କରିଛି।’
21 “ମାଲିକ କହିଲେ, ‘ସାବାସ୍, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବହୁତ ଭଲ, ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱାସଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଲୋକ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଳ୍ପ ଟଙ୍କାରେ ଭଲ କାମ କରିଛ। ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବଡ଼ ବିଷୟର ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ଦେବି। ଆସ, ମୋ’ ସହିତ ମୋ’ ଖୁସୀରେ ଭାଗୀ ହୁଅ।’
22 “ତା'ପରେ ଦୁଇ ତୋଡ଼ା ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ପାଇଥିବା ଗ୍ଭକରଟି ମାଲିକ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲା। ଗ୍ଭକରଟି କହିଲା, ‘ଆପଣ ମୋତେ ଦୁଇ ତୋଡ଼ା ଟଙ୍କାର ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ମୁଁ ଆଉ ଦୁଇ ତୋଡ଼ା ଟଙ୍କା ରୋଜଗାର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ଦୁଇ ତୋଡ଼ା ଟଙ୍କା ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିଛି।’
23 “ମାଲିକ କହିଲେ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଠିକ୍ କରିଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜଣେ ଭଲ ଗ୍ଭକର। ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରାଯାଇପାରେ। ଅଳ୍ପ ଟଙ୍କାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭଲ କାମ କରିଛ। ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବଡ଼ ବିଷୟର ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ଦେବି। ଆସ, ମୋ’ ସହିତ ଖୁସୀରେ ଭାଗୀ ହୁଅ।’
24 “ତା'ପରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ତୋଡ଼ା ଟଙ୍କା ପାଇଥିବା ଲୋକଟି ମାଲିକଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲା। ସେ କହିଲା, ‘ମାଲିକ ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ଯେ ଆପଣ ଜଣେ କଠୋର ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି। ରୋପଣ ନ କରି ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣ ଜମିରୁ ଫସଲ କାଟନ୍ତି। ବୀଜ ନ ବୁଣି ମଧ୍ୟ ଶସ୍ୟ ଏକାଠି କରନ୍ତି। 25 ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ଭୟ କଲି। ମୁଁ ଯାଇ ଭୂମିରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଟଙ୍କାତକ ଲୁଚେଇ ଦେଲି। ଆପଣ ମୋତେ ଦେଇଥିବା ତୋଡ଼ା ଟଙ୍କା ନିଅନ୍ତୁ।’
26 “ତା’ ମାଲିକ ତାକୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜଣେ ଅଳସୁଆ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଗ୍ଭକର! ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣିଛ ଯେ ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁଠି ରୋପଣ କରି ନ ଥାଏ ସେଠାରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଫସଲ କାଟେ ଓ ଯେଉଁଠି ବୀଜ ବୁଣି ନ ଥାଏ, ସେଠାରେ ଶସ୍ୟ ଏକାଠି କରେ। 27 ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋ’ ଟଙ୍କାକୁ ବ୍ୟାଙ୍କରେ ଜମା ରଖିଦେବା ଉଚିତ୍ ଥିଲା। ତା ହୋଇଥିଲେ ମୁଁ ଘରକୁ ଫେରିବା ପରେ ମୋ’ ଟଙ୍କା ଫେରି ପାଇଥା’ନ୍ତି। ତା’ ସହିତ ମୋ’ ଟଙ୍କାର ସୁଧ ମଧ୍ୟ ପାଇଥା’ନ୍ତି।’
28 “ତା'ପରେ ମାଲିକ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ୟ ଗ୍ଭକରମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ସେହି ଗ୍ଭକରଠାରୁ ଟଙ୍କାର ଥଳିଟି ନେଇ, ଯାହାର ଦଶ ତୋଡ଼ା ଟଙ୍କା ଅଛି ତାକୁ ଦେଇଦିଅ। 29 ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ନିଜ ପାଖରେ ଥିବା ଜିନିଷର ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରେ, ତାକୁ ବହୁତ ଅଧିକ ଦିଆଯିବ। ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଆବଶ୍ୟକତାଠାରୁ ବହୁତ ବେଶୀ ଦିଆଯିବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ତା’ ପାଖରେ ଥିବା ଜିନିଷର ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରେ ନାହିଁ, ତା'ଠାରୁ ଯାହାକିଛି ଅଛି, ସବୁକିଛି ଛଡ଼େଇ ନିଆଯିବ।’ 30 ତା'ପରେ ମାଲିକ କହିଲେ, ‘ସେ ଅଦରକାରୀ ଗ୍ଭକରକୁ ବାହାରେ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ପକେଇ ଦିଅ। ସେଠାରେ ଲୋକମାନେ କାନ୍ଦିବେ ଏବଂ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣାରେ ଦାନ୍ତ କଡ଼ମଡ଼ କରିବେ।’
ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର ବିଗ୍ଭର କରିବେ
31 “ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ପୁଣି ଥରେ ଆସିବେ, ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ମହିମା ସହିତ ଆସିବେ। ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସମସ୍ତ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗଦୂତମାନେ ଆସିବେ। ସେ ରାଜା ହେବେ ଏବଂ ତାହାଙ୍କର ମହାନ ସିଂହାସନ ଉପରେ ବସିବେ। 32 ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ଜଗତର ସବୁ ଲୋକେ ଏକାଠି ହେବେ। ତା'ପରେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ସବୁ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଦୁଇଟି ଦଳରେ ବାଣ୍ଟି ଦେବେ। ଜଣେ ଜଗୁଆଳ ଯେପରି ଛେଳିମାନଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ ମେଣ୍ଢାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଲଗା କରିଦିଏ ଏହା ଠିକ୍ ସେହିପରି ଅଟେ। 33 ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ମେଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଡାହାଣ ପଟେ ରଖିବେ ଓ ଛାଗକୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବାମ ପଟେ ରଖିବେ।
34 “ତା'ପରେ ରାଜା ତାହାଙ୍କ ଡାହାଣ ପଟରେ ଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବେ, ‘ଆସ, ମୋର ପରମପିତା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଶାର୍ବାଦ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଦେବାକୁ ପ୍ରତିଶ୍ରୁତି ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ଲାଭ କର। ଜଗତ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହେବା କାଳରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ସେ ରାଜ୍ୟ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହୋଇ ସାରିଛି।” 35 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ରାଜ୍ୟ ଲାଭ କରିବ କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଭୋକିଲା ଥିଲି, ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମେ ମୋତେ ଖାଇବାକୁ ଦେଇଥିଲ। ମୋତେ ଶୋଷ ଲାଗୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ମୋତେ କିଛି ପିଇବାକୁ ଦେଇଛ। ମୁଁ ଘରଠାରୁ ଦୂରରେ ଏକୁଟିଆ ଥିଲି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଘରକୁ ଡାକିଥିଲ। 36 ମୋର କୌଣସି ଲୁଗାପଟା ନ ଥିଲା, ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ପିନ୍ଧିବାକୁ ଦେଇଥିଲ। ମୁଁ ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ଥିଲି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋର ଯତ୍ନ ନେଇଥିଲ, ମୁଁ କାରାଗାରରେ ଥିଲି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଆସିଥିଲ।’
37 “ସେତେବେଳେ ଭଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବେ, ‘ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ! ଆମ୍ଭେ କେତେବେଳେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଭୋକିଲା ଦେଖିଥିଲୁ ଓ ଖାଇବାକୁ ଦେଇଥିଲୁ? କେତେବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଶୋଷିଲା ଦେଖିଥିଲୁ ଓ ପିଇବାକୁ କିଛି ଦେଇଥିଲୁ? 38 କେତେବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଘରଠାରୁ ଦୂରରେ ଏକୁଟିଆ ଦେଖିଥିଲୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ ଘରକୁ ଡାକିଥିଲୁ? କେତେବେଳେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପୋଷାକ ନ ଥିବା ବେଳେ ଦେଖିଥିଲୁ ଓ ପିନ୍ଧିବାକୁ କିଛି ଦେଇଥିଲୁ? 39 କେତେବେଳେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ବା କାରାଗାରରେ ଦେଖିଥିଲୁ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ଯତ୍ନ ନେଇଥିଲୁ?’
40 “ସେତେବେଳେ ରାଜା ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବେ, ‘ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଛି। ଏଠାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋର ଉପେକ୍ଷିତ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ ଜଣକ ପାଇଁ ଯାହାକିଛି କଲ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋ’ ପାଇଁ କଲ।’
41 “ତା'ପରେ ରାଜା ତାହାଙ୍କ ବାମ ପଟର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବେ, ‘ମୋ’ ପାଖରୁ ଗ୍ଭଲିଯାଅ। ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦଣ୍ଡ ନିରୂପଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଚିରକାଳ ଜଳୁଥିବା ନିଆଁକୁ ଯିବ, ଯାହାକି ଶୟତାନ ଓ ତା'ର ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହୋଇଛି। 42 କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଭୋକିଲା ଥିଲି କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ କିଛି ଖାଇବାକୁ ଦେଇ ନ ଥିଲ, 43 ମୁଁ ଶୋଷିଲା ଥିଲି କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ କିଛି ପିଇବାକୁ ଦେଇ ନ ଥିଲ। ମୁଁ ଏକୁଟିଆ ଘରଠାରୁ ଦୂରରେ ଥିଲି, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଘର ଭିତରକୁ ଡାକିଲ ନାହିଁ, ମୋର ଲୁଗାପଟା ନ ଥିଲା, ମୋତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପିନ୍ଧିବାକୁ କିଛି ଦେଇ ନ ଥିଲ। ମୁଁ ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ଥିଲି, ଓ କାରାଗାରରେ ଥିଲି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋ’ ପାଇଁ ଚିନ୍ତା କରି ନ ଥିଲ।’
44 “ତା'ପରେ ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବେ, ‘ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ କେତେବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଭୋକିଲା ବା ଶୋଷିଲା ଦେଖିଥିଲୁ? ଆମ୍ଭେ କେତେବେଳେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଏକୁଟିଆ ଓ ଘରଠାରୁ ଦୂରରେ ଦେଖିଥିଲୁ? କେତେବେଳେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଲୁଗାପଟା ନ ଥିବା ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ବା ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ବା କାରାଗାରରେ ଦେଖିଥିଲୁ? କେବେ ଏସବୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଦେଖିଥିଲୁ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କଲୁ ନାହିଁ?’
45 “ତା'ପରେ ରାଜା ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବେ, ‘ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେତେବେଳେ ଏଠାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋର ଉପେକ୍ଷିତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ ଯେକୌଣସି ଲୋକକୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ମନାକଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ମନାକଲ!’
46 “ତା'ପରେ ଏହି ଲୋକଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଗ୍ଭଲିଯିବେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସବୁ ଦିନ ପାଇଁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଭୋଗିବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଭଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନ ଲାଭ କରିବେ।”
ଯିହୂଦୀ ନେତାମାନଙ୍କର ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ୟା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଷଡ଼ଯନ୍ତ୍ର

26 ଏହିସବୁ କଥା କହି ସାରିବା ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ନିଜର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, 2 “ଦୁଇ ଦିନ ପରେ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବ ହେବା କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣ। ସେହି ଦିନ କ୍ରୁଶରେ ଚଢ଼ାଇ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ମାରି ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ଦେଇ ଦିଆଯିବ।”
3 ତା'ପରେ ପ୍ରଧାନଯାଜକ ଓ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ନେତାମାନେ କୟାଫା ନାମକ ମହାଯାଜକଙ୍କ ଭବନର ଅଗଣାରେ ଏକାଠି ହେଲେ। 4 ସେମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କପଟରେ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମାରିଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଯୋଜନା କଲେ। 5 କିନ୍ତୁ ବୈଠକରେ ସେମାନେ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା ହେଲେ, “ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବ[a] ସମୟରେ ଏସବୁ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ହେବ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏଥିରେ ରାଗିଯାଇ ପାରନ୍ତି ଓ ଦଙ୍ଗାହଙ୍ଗାମା କରି ପାରନ୍ତି।”
ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ଏକ ବିଶେଷ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କଲେ
(ମାର୍କ 14:3-9; ଯୋହନ 12:1-8)
6 ଯୀଶୁ ବେଥନୀୟାରେ ଥିଲେ। ସେ କୁଷ୍ଠରୋଗୀ ଶିମୋନର ଘରେ ରହିଥିଲେ। 7 ଯୀଶୁ ସେଠାରେ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଆସି ପହଞ୍ଚିଲା। ସେ ଗୋଟିଏ ପାତ୍ରରେ ବହୁ ମୂଲ୍ୟବାନ୍ ସୁଗନ୍ଧିତ ଅତର ଆଣିଥିଲା। ସେ ଅତରତକ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ମୁଣ୍ତ ଉପରେ ଢାଳି ଦେଲା’ ସେତେବେଳେ ଯୀଶୁ ଖାଉଥିଲେ।
8 ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଏହା ଦେଖି ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ରାଗିଗଲେ। ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, “ଏତେ ଅପବ୍ୟୟ କାହିଁକି? 9 ଏ ଅତରତକ ଅନେକ ଟଙ୍କାରେ ବିକାଯାଇ ସେଥିରୁ ମିଳିବା ଟଙ୍କା ଗରିବମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବଣ୍ଟା ଯାଇ ପାରିଥା’ନ୍ତା।”
10 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହା ଜାଣି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “କାହିଁକି ବୃଥାରେ ଏହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକକୁ ହଇରାଣ କରୁଛ? ସେ ମୋ’ ପାଇଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ବହୁତ ଭଲ କାମ କରିଛି। 11 ଗରିବମାନେ ତ ସବୁବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି।[b] କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ସବୁବେଳେ ପାଇବ ନାହିଁ। 12 ଏହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ମୋ’ ଦେହରେ ଅତର ଢାଳିଛି। ମୋର ସମାଧି ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ଏହା କରିଛି, 13 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଛି, ଏ ଜଗତରେ ସର୍ବତ୍ର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସୁସମାଗ୍ଭର ଘୋଷଣା କରାଯିବ। ତା’ ସହିତ ଏ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକଟି କ’ଣ କରିଥିଲା, ସେ ବିଷୟ ମଧ୍ୟ ଘୋଷଣା କରାଯିବ, ଲୋକମାନେ ତାକୁ ମନେ ରଖିବେ।”
ଯିହୂଦା ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁ ପାଲଟିଗଲେ
(ମାର୍କ 14:10-11; ଲୂକ 22:3-6)
14 ତା'ପରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ବାରଜଣ ଶିଷ୍ୟଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଯାଇ ପ୍ରଧାନଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କଲା। ସେହି ଶିଷ୍ୟର ନାମ ଇଷ୍କାରିୟୋତ ଯିହୂଦା ଥିଲା। 15 ସେ କହିଲା, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଧରେଇ ଦେବି। ଏହା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ କ’ଣ ଦେବ?’’ ଯାଜକମାନେ ଯିହୂଦାଙ୍କୁ ତିରିଶ୍ଟି ରୂପାଟଙ୍କା ଦେଲେ। 16 ସେହି ସମୟରୁ ଯିହୂଦା ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଧରାଇ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ସୁଯୋଗର ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ ରହିଲା।
ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବର ଭୋଜି
(ମାର୍କ 14:12-21; ଲୂକ 22:7-14,21-23; ଯୋହନ 13:21-30)
17 ଖମୀରଶୂନ୍ୟ ରୋଟୀ ପର୍ବର ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିନ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, “ନିସ୍ତାରଭୋଜି ଖାଇବାକୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସବୁକିଛି ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବୁ। ଆପଣ କେଉଁଠାରେ ଭୋଜି ଖାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଗ୍ଭହାନ୍ତି?”
18 ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ନଗରରେ ଥିବା ମୋର ଜଣେ ଚିହ୍ନା ଲୋକ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଅ। ତାକୁ କୁହ ‘ଗୁରୁ କହିଛନ୍ତି ‘ମନୋନୀତ ସମୟ ଆସି ପାଖେଇ ଗଲାଣି ଓ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଘରେ ମୋ’ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବ ଭୋଜି ଉତ୍ସବ ପାଳନ କରିବି।’” 19 ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ କହିବା ଅନୁସାରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ କଲେ। ସେମାନେ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବର ଭୋଜି ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କଲେ।
20 ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟାବେଳେ ଯୀଶୁ ନିଜର ବାରଜଣଯାକ ଶିଷ୍ୟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଖାଇବାକୁ ବସିଲେ। 21 ସେମାନେ ଖାଉଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଛି। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଥିବା ବାରଜଣଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ ଜଣେ ମୋ’ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ୱାସଘାତକତା କରିବ।”
22 ଏହା ଶୁଣି ସେମାନେ ବହୁତ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହେଲେ। ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଶିଷ୍ୟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପଗ୍ଭରିଲେ, “ପ୍ରଭୁ, ନିଶ୍ଚିତଭାବରେ ସେ ଜଣକ ମୁଁ ନୁହେଁ! କୁହନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ କି?”
23 ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ମୋ’ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଗିନାରେ ତା'ର ହାତ ବୁଡ଼ାଇଛି, ସେ ମୋ’ ସହିତ ବିଶ୍ୱାସଘାତକତା କରିବ। 24 ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ଯିବେ ଓ ମରିଯିବେ। ଏହା ହିଁ ହେବ ବୋଲି ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଲେଖାଅଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ମାରିବା ପାଇଁ ଶତ୍ରୁ ହାତରେ ଦେଇଦେବ, ସେ ଲୋକ ଧିକ୍! ସେ ଲୋକ ଜନ୍ମ ନ ହୋଇଥିଲେ ବରଂ ଭଲ ହୋଇଥା’ନ୍ତା।”
25 ତା'ପରେ ଯିହୂଦା, “ଯିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧରେଇ ଦେବାକୁ ଯାଉଥିଲା, କହିଲା ଗୁରୁ, ସେ କ’ଣ ମୁଁ?”
ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ହଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେହି।”
ପ୍ରଭୁଭୋଜ
(ମାର୍କ 14:22-26; ଲୂକ 22:15-20; 1 କରିନ୍ଥୀୟ 11:23-25)
26 ସେମାନେ ଖାଉଥିବା ବେଳେ, ଯୀଶୁ ରୋଟୀ ନେଲେ। ସେହି ରୋଟୀ ପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ରୋଟୀ ଛିଣ୍ଡେଇଲେ, ତାହାକୁ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ। ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏହି ରୋଟୀ ନିଅ ଓ ଖାଅ। ଏ ରୋଟୀ ମୋର ଶରୀର।”
27 ତା'ପରେ ସେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗିନାରେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ନେଲେ, ଓ ଏଥିପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଲେ। ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଏଥିରୁ ପିଅ। 28 ଏ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ମୋର ରକ୍ତ। ମୋର ରକ୍ତରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କରିଥିବା ନୂଆ ଚୁକ୍ତି ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୁଏ। ଅନେକ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ପାପକୁ କ୍ଷମା କରିଦିଆଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଏ ରକ୍ତ ଦିଆ ଯାଉଛି। 29 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏ କଥା କହି ରଖୁଛି: ମୋର ପରମପିତାଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଏକାଠି ନ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଓ ନୂଆ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସର ଅଂଶୀ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମୁଁ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ପୁଣି ପାନ କରିବି ନାହିଁ। ତା'ପରେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏହାକୁ ପାନ କରିବି।”
30 ଏହା ପରେ ସେମାନେ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ବର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଗୀତ ବୋଲିଲେ ଓ ଜୀତପର୍ବତକୁ ଗ୍ଭଲିଗଲେ।
ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଦେବେ ବୋଲି ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ
(ମାର୍କ 14:27-31; ଲୂକ 22:31-34; ଯୋହନ 13:36-38)
31 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆଜି ରାତିରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋ’ ଉପରୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ହରେଇ ବସିବ। ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କରେ ଏ କଥା ଲେଖାଅଛି:
‘ମୁଁ ମେଷପାଳକଙ୍କୁ ମାରି ଦେବି
ଏବଂ ମେଣ୍ଢାମାନେ ଏଣେତେଣେ ପଳେଇବେ।’(A)
32 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ପୁଣି ଥରେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁରୁ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥିତ ହେବି। ତା'ପରେ ମୁଁ ଗାଲିଲୀକୁ ଗ୍ଭଲିଯିବି। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଠାକୁ ଯିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ମୁଁ ସେଠାକୁ ଯାଇଥିବି।”
33 ପିତର କହିଲେ, “ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ଶିଷ୍ୟ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଉପରୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ହରେଇ ପାରନ୍ତି, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ କେବେ ହେଲେ ମୋର ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ହରାଇବି ନାହିଁ।”
34 ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଛି। ଆଜି ରାତିରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିବ ଯେ ମୋତେ ଚିହ୍ନି ନାହଁ। କୁକୁଡ଼ା ଡାକିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତିନିଥର ଏହିକଥା କହିବ।”
35 ପିତର ଏ କଥା ଶୁଣି କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ବରଂ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ବରଣ କରିବି, କିନ୍ତୁ କେବେ ହେଲେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଚିହ୍ନି ନାହିଁ ବୋଲି କହିବି ନାହିଁ।” ପୁଣି ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ସେହି ଏକା କଥା କହିଲେ।
ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଏକାନ୍ତ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା
(ମାର୍କ 14:32-42; ଲୂକ 22:39-46)
36 ତା'ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଗେଥ୍ଶିମାନୀ ନାମକ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଗଲେ। ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ସେଠାରେ ଯାଇ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଥିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହିଠାରେ ବସ।” 37 ଯୀଶୁ ପିତର ଓ ଜେବଦୀଙ୍କ ଦୁଇ ପୁଅଙ୍କୁ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ନେଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଦୁଃଖ ଓ ବ୍ୟାକୁଳତା ଅନୁଭବ କଲେ। 38 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୋର ହୃଦୟ ଏତେ ଦୁଃଖରେ ଭରି ଯାଇଛି ଯେ, ସତେ ଯେପରି ପ୍ରାଣ ବାହାରି ଯିବା ଉପରେ। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋ’ ସହିତ ଏଠାରେ ଚେଇଁ କରି ରୁହ ଓ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କର।”
39 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରୁ କିଛି ଦୂରକୁ ଗ୍ଭଲିକରି ଯିବାପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ତଳେ ଉବୁଡ଼ ହୋଇ ପଡ଼ିଲେ ଓ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ, “ହେ ପରମପିତା! ଯଦି ସମ୍ଭବ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣାର ଏହି ପାତ୍ରଟି ମୋ'ଠାରୁ ଦୂର ହୋଇଯାଉ। କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋ’ ଇଚ୍ଛା ଅନୁସାରେ ନ ହୋଇ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛା ଅନୁସାରେ କରନ୍ତୁ।” 40 ତା'ପରେ ସେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଫେରିଗଲେ। ସେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୋଇଥିବାର ଦେଖିଲେ। ଯୀଶୁ ପିତରଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋ’ ସହିତ ଘଣ୍ଟାଏ ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜାଗି ରହି ପାରିଲ ନାହିଁ? 41 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଗି ରହି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପରୀକ୍ଷାରେ ନ ପଡ଼, ଯାହା ଠିକ୍ ତାହା କରିବାକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆତ୍ମା ଗ୍ଭହୁଁଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦେହ ଦୁର୍ବଳ।”
42 ପୁଣି ଥରେ ସେ ଗଲେ ଓ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ, “ହେ ପରମପିତା, ଯଦି ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣାର ଏ ପାତ୍ର ମୋ'ଠାରୁ ଦୂର ହୋଇ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ ଏବଂ ଏହାକୁ ମୁଁ ପାନ କରେ, ତେବେ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଛି ଯେ, ଆପଣ ଯାହା ଇଚ୍ଛା କରିଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ହିଁ ହେଉ।”
43 ତା'ପରେ ସେ ଫେରି ଆସି ପୁଣି ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୋଇଥିବାର ଦେଖିଲେ। ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଖି ବହୁତ ଭାରି ହୋଇଯାଇଥିଲା। ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଆଖି ଖୋଲି ପାରୁ ନ ଥିଲେ। 44 ଯୀଶୁ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ପୁଣି ଫେରି ଯାଇ ତୃତୀୟ ଥର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ। ଏଥର ମଧ୍ୟ ସେ ପୂର୍ବଭଳି ସେହି ଏକା କଥା କହିଲେ।
45 ତା'ପରେ ସେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଫେରିଗଲେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏବେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଶୋଇଛ ଓ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ନେଉଛ? ଶୁଣ, ସମୟ ଆସି ଗଲାଣି, ଏବେ ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ସମର୍ପି ଦିଆଯିବ। 46 ଉଠ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯିବା। ଦେଖ, ମୋତେ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକଟି ଦେଇଦେବ, ସେ ଏଠାକୁ ଆସୁଛି।”
ଯୀଶୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ ହେଲେ
(ମାର୍କ 14:43-50; ଲୂକ 22:47-53; ଯୋହନ 18:3-12)
47 ଯୀଶୁ ଏହି କଥା କହୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଯିହୂଦା ସେଠାକୁ ଆସିଲା। ସେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ବାରଜଣ ଶିଷ୍ୟଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଥିଲା। ଯିହୂଦାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅନେକ ଲୋକ ଥିଲେ। ଯିହୂଦା ଓ ସେହି ଲୋକମାନେ ଖଣ୍ଡା ଓ ଠେଙ୍ଗା ଧରିଥିଲେ। ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଧାନଯାଜକ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନେ ପଠାଇଥିଲେ। 48 ଯିହୂଦା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯୀଶୁ କିଏ ବୋଲି ଚିହ୍ନେଇ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ସଙ୍କେତ ବତେଇ ଦେଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଯାହାକୁ ଚୁମ୍ବନ କରିବି, ସେ ସେହି ଲୋକ। ତାକୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରିବ।” 49 ତା'ପରେ ଯିହୂଦା ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ନମସ୍କାର” ତା'ପରେ ସେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଚୁମ୍ବନ ଦେଲେ।
50 ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ବନ୍ଧୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ କାମରେ ଆସିଛ, ତାହା କର!”
ତା'ପରେ ଯିହୂଦାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆସିଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ସେଠାରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ଯାଇ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରି ନେଲେ। 51 ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ ଜଣେ ଶିଷ୍ୟ ତା'ର ଖଣ୍ଡା ବାହାର କରି ମହାଯାଜକଙ୍କ ଗ୍ଭକରକୁ ସେଥିରେ ଆଘାତ କଲା, ଫଳରେ ଗ୍ଭକରର କାନ କଟିଗଲା।
52 ଯୀଶୁ ସେହି ଲୋକକୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭ ଖଣ୍ଡାକୁ ଖୋଳ ଭିତରେ ରଖ। ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଖଣ୍ଡା ବ୍ୟବହାର କରନ୍ତି। ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖଣ୍ଡା ଦ୍ୱାରା ହତ୍ୟା କରା ଯାଇଥାଏ। 53 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ’ଣ ଜାଣି ନାହଁ ଯେ ମୁଁ ମୋର ପରମପିତାଙ୍କୁ ମାଗିଲେ ସେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ମୋତେ ବାରଟି ସେନାବାହିନୀରୁ ଅଧିକ ଯୋଗେଇବେ। 54 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତା’ କଲେ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ର କିପରି ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେବ? ସବୁକଥା ଏହିଭଳି ଭାବରେ ଘଟିବ ବୋଲି ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଲେଖା ଅଛି।”
55 ତା'ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେସବୁ ଖଣ୍ଡା ଓ ଠେଙ୍ଗା ନେଇ ମୋତେ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଏପରି ଭାବରେ ଆସିଛ, ସତେ ଯେପରି ମୁଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଅପରାଧୀ। ମୁଁ ସବୁଦିନ ମନ୍ଦିର ପରିସରରେ ବସି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉପଦେଶ ଦେଉଥିଲି। ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରିଲ ନାହିଁ। 56 କିନ୍ତୁ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନେ ଯେଉଁଭଳି ଲେଖିଥିଲେ, ସେହିଭଳି ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଏହିସବୁ କଥା ଘଟିଲା,” ତା'ପରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ପଳାଇଗଲେ।
ଯିହୂଦୀନେତାମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ହାଜର କରାଗଲା
(ମାର୍କ 14:53-65; ଲୂକ 22:54-55,63-71; ଯୋହନ 18:13-14,19-24)
57 ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରି ନେଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମହାଯାଜକ କୟାଫାଙ୍କ ଘରକୁ ନେଇଗଲେ। ସେଠାରେ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ନେତାମାନେ ଏକାଠି ଜମା ହୋଇଥିଲେ। 58 ପିତର ଅଳ୍ପ ଦୂରରେ ରହି ମହାଯାଜକଙ୍କ ଅଗଣା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଗଲେ। ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ପରିଣାମ କ’ଣ ହେବ, ତାହା ଦେଖିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ଭିତରକୁ ଯାଇ ପ୍ରହରୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବସିପଡ଼ିଲେ।
59 ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଯେପରି ମୃତ୍ୟୁଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେଇ ପାରିବେ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଧାନଯାଜକ ଓ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଯିହୂଦୀ ମହାସଭା ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ କିଛି ମିଛ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଖୋଜି ବାହାର କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲେ। 60 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦିଓ ଅନେକ ମିଛ ସାକ୍ଷୀ ଆଗକୁ ଆସି ମିଛରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଲେ, ତଥାପି ମହାସଭା ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରକୃତ କାରଣ ପାଇ ପାରିଲା ନାହିଁ। ଶେଷରେ ଦୁଇଜଣ ଲୋକ ଆଗରୁ ବାହାରି ଆସି କହିଲେ, 61 “ଏହି ଲୋକ କହିଛନ୍ତି, ‘ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ଧ୍ୱଂସ କରିପାରେ ଓ ପୁଣି ଏହାକୁ ତିନି ଦିନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତିଆରି କରି ଦେଇପାରେ।’”
62 ତା'ପରେ ମହାଯାଜକ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ ଓ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପଗ୍ଭରିଲେ, “ଏ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଯାହା ଅଭିଯୋଗ କଲେ ତା'ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିଛି ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବ କି? ଏ ଲୋକମାନେ କ’ଣ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଛନ୍ତି?” 63 ଯୀଶୁ କିନ୍ତୁ ଚୁପ୍ ରହିଲେ।
ପୁଣି ଥରେ ମହାଯାଜକ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଗ୍ଭରିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଜୀବିତ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଶପଥ କରାଉଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ କୁହ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ’ଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର?”
64 ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ହଁ, ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ। କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହି ରଖୁଛି ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତରେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଡାହାଣ ପଟେ ବସିଥିବାର ଓ ଆକାଶର ମେଘମାଳାରେ ଆସୁଥିବାର ଦେଖିବ।”
65 ମହାଯାଜକ ଏ କଥା ଶୁଣି ବହୁତ ରାଗିଗଲେ ଓ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିଜ ପୋଷାକ ଚିରି ପକେଇଲେ ଓ ସେ କହିଲେ, “ଏ ଯେଉଁସବୁ କଥା କହିଲେ, ତା’ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ନିନ୍ଦା ହୋଇଛି। ଆମ୍ଭର ଆଉ କୌଣସି ସାକ୍ଷୀ ଦରକାର ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ନିନ୍ଦା ଶୁଣିଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତେବେ କ’ଣ ଭାବୁଛ?” 66 ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ,
“ସେ ଅପରାଧୀ, ତାହାଙ୍କର ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ହେବା ଉଚିତ୍।”
67 ତା'ପରେ ସେଠାରେ ଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ମୁହଁ ଉପରେ ଛେପ ପକାଇଲେ, ବିଧା ମାରିଲେ। କେତେକ ଲୋକ ଗ୍ଭପୁଡ଼ା ମାରିଲେ। 68 ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ! ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଜଣେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ତେବେ କୁହ, ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କିଏ ମାରିଲା?”
ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବାକୁ ପିତର ଭୟ କଲେ
(ମାର୍କ 14:66-72; ଲୂକ 22:56-62; ଯୋହନ 18:15-18,25-27)
69 ସେହି ସମୟରେ ପିତର ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବସିଥିଲେ, ଜଣେ ଦାସୀ ପିତରଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲା। ସେ କହିଲା, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଗାଲିଲୀର ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିଲ।”
70 କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତର ଏ କଥା ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେଉଁ ବିଷୟରେ କହୁଛ ତାହା ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ।”
71 ତା'ପରେ ସେ ଅଗଣାରୁ ବାହାରି ଆସିଲେ। ଫାଟକ ପାଖରେ ଆଉଜଣେ ଦାସୀ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ପକାଇ ସେଠାରେ ଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ଏ ଲୋକ ନାଜରିତୀୟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିଲା।”
72 ପୁଣି ଥରେ ପିତର ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିଦେଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରି କହୁଛି ଯେ ମୁଁ ସେ ଲୋକକୁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ।”
73 କିଛି ସମୟ ପରେ ସେଠାରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ପିତରଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ। ଏ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭ କହିବା ଢଙ୍ଗରୁ ଜଣା ପଡ଼ୁଛି।”
74 ପିତର ନିଜକୁ ଧିକ୍କାର କରି ରାଣ ପକାଇ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ସେ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ।” ସେତିକିବେଳେ କୁକୁଡ଼ା ଡାକିଲା। 75 ଏବେ ପିତରଙ୍କର, ଯୀଶୁ କହିଥିବା କଥା ମନେ ପଡ଼ିଲା। ଯୀଶୁ କହିଥିଲେ, “କୁକୁଡ଼ା ଡାକିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଜାଣି ନାହଁ ବୋଲି ତିନିଥର ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବ।” ପିତର ବାହାରକୁ ବାହାରିଯାଇ ବ୍ୟାକୁଳ ହୋଇ କାନ୍ଦିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।

The Parable of the Ten Virgins
25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like(A) ten virgins who took their lamps(B) and went out to meet the bridegroom.(C) 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise.(D) 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.(E)
6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’(F)
9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet.(G) And the door was shut.
11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’(H)

The Parable of the Bags of Gold(J)
14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey,(K) who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag,[a] each according to his ability.(L) Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.
19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them.(M) 20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’
21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.(N) Come and share your master’s happiness!’
22 “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.(O) Come and share your master’s happiness!’
24 “Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’
26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
28 “‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. 29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.(P) 30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’(Q)
The Sheep and the Goats
31 “When the Son of Man comes(R) in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.(S) 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate(T) the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.(U) 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom(V) prepared for you since the creation of the world.(W) 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,(X) 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me,(Y) I was sick and you looked after me,(Z) I was in prison and you came to visit me.’(AA)
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’(AB)
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me,(AC) you who are cursed, into the eternal fire(AD) prepared for the devil and his angels.(AE) 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’(AF)
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.(AG)”(AH)
The Plot Against Jesus(AI)
26 When Jesus had finished saying all these things,(AJ) he said to his disciples, 2 “As you know, the Passover(AK) is two days away—and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”
3 Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled(AL) in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas,(AM) 4 and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.(AN) 5 “But not during the festival,” they said, “or there may be a riot(AO) among the people.”
Jesus Anointed at Bethany(AP)(AQ)
6 While Jesus was in Bethany(AR) in the home of Simon the Leper, 7 a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
8 When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. 9 “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.”
10 Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11 The poor you will always have with you,[b](AS) but you will not always have me. 12 When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.(AT) 13 Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”
Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus(AU)
14 Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot(AV)—went to the chief priests 15 and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver.(AW) 16 From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over.
The Last Supper(AX)(AY)(AZ)
17 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread,(BA) the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”(BB)
18 He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time(BC) is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” 19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
20 When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve. 21 And while they were eating, he said, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me.”(BD)
22 They were very sad and began to say to him one after the other, “Surely you don’t mean me, Lord?”
23 Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me.(BE) 24 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him.(BF) But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
25 Then Judas, the one who would betray him,(BG) said, “Surely you don’t mean me, Rabbi?”(BH)
Jesus answered, “You have said so.”
26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it(BI) and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”
27 Then he took a cup,(BJ) and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the[c] covenant,(BK) which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.(BL) 29 I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you(BM) in my Father’s kingdom.”
30 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.(BN)
Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial(BO)
31 Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me,(BP) for it is written:
32 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”(BR)
33 Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.”
34 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”(BS)
35 But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with you,(BT) I will never disown you.” And all the other disciples said the same.
Gethsemane(BU)
36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee(BV) along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow(BW) to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”(BX)
39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup(BY) be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”(BZ)
40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me(CA) for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.(CB) The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”(CC)
43 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. 44 So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.
45 Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour(CD) has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”
Jesus Arrested(CE)
47 While he was still speaking, Judas,(CF) one of the Twelve, arrived. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the elders of the people. 48 Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him.” 49 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Greetings, Rabbi!”(CG) and kissed him.
50 Jesus replied, “Do what you came for, friend.”[e](CH)
Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. 51 With that, one of Jesus’ companions reached for his sword,(CI) drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.(CJ)
52 “Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.(CK) 53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?(CL) 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled(CM) that say it must happen in this way?”
55 In that hour Jesus said to the crowd, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple courts teaching,(CN) and you did not arrest me. 56 But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled.”(CO) Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.
Jesus Before the Sanhedrin(CP)
57 Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas(CQ) the high priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had assembled. 58 But Peter followed him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest.(CR) He entered and sat down with the guards(CS) to see the outcome.
59 The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin(CT) were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death. 60 But they did not find any, though many false witnesses(CU) came forward.
Finally two(CV) came forward 61 and declared, “This fellow said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”(CW)
62 Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” 63 But Jesus remained silent.(CX)
The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath(CY) by the living God:(CZ) Tell us if you are the Messiah,(DA) the Son of God.”(DB)
64 “You have said so,”(DC) Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One(DD) and coming on the clouds of heaven.”[f](DE)
65 Then the high priest tore his clothes(DF) and said, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. 66 What do you think?”
“He is worthy of death,”(DG) they answered.
67 Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists.(DH) Others slapped him 68 and said, “Prophesy to us, Messiah. Who hit you?”(DI)
Peter Disowns Jesus(DJ)
69 Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. “You also were with Jesus of Galilee,” she said.
70 But he denied it before them all. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said.
71 Then he went out to the gateway, where another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, “This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
72 He denied it again, with an oath: “I don’t know the man!”
73 After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, “Surely you are one of them; your accent gives you away.”
74 Then he began to call down curses, and he swore to them, “I don’t know the man!”
Immediately a rooster crowed. 75 Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”(DK) And he went outside and wept bitterly.
