3 Горко на града нечист и омърсен, който притеснява!
2 Не слуша гласа, не взима от наставления, на Господа не се уповава, към своя Бог не се приближава.
3 (A)Князете му посред него са рикащи лъвове, съдиите му – вечерни вълци, които не оставят до сутринта нито една кост.
4 (B)Пророците му са човеци лекомислени, вероломни; свещениците му оскверняват светинята, тъпчат закона.
5 (C)Господ е праведен посред него, не върши неправда, всяка сутрин явява Своя съд неизменно; но беззаконникът не знае срам.
6 Аз изтребих народи – разрушени са твърдините им; пусти направих улиците им, тъй че никой не ходи по тях; разорени са градовете им: няма нито един човек, няма жители.
7 (D)Аз казах: „бой се само от Мене, приемай наставления!“ и няма да бъде изтребено жилището му, и няма да го постигне злото, каквото му бях определил; а те прилежно се стараеха да покварват всичките си действия.
8 (E)И тъй, чакайте Ме, казва Господ, до оня ден, когато ще се дигна за опустошение; защото е определено от Мене да събера народи, да свикам царства, за да излея върху тях Моето негодувание, всичката ярост на Моя гняв; защото от огъня на яростта Ми ще бъде погълната цялата земя.
9 (F)Тогава Аз пак ще дам на народите чисти уста, та всички да призовават името на Господа и да Му служат единодушно.
10 (G)От страните отвъд реката на Етиопия поклонниците Ми – децата на Моите разпилени – ще Ми принесат дарове.
11 (H)В оня ден ти няма да се срамиш от своите различни постъпки, с каквито грешеше против Мене, защото тогава Аз ще отстраня из средата ти ония, които напразно се хвалеха със своята знатност, и няма вече да се превъзнасяш на светата Ми планина.
12 (I)Но ще оставя всред тебе народ смирен и прост, и те ще се уповават на името Господне.
13 (J)Остатъците от Израиля няма да вършат неправда, няма да говорят лъжа, и няма да се намери в устата им коварен език, защото сами ще се пасат и ще лежат, и никой няма да ги разтревожи.
14 (K)Ликувай, дъще Сионова! тържествувай, Израилю! весели се и радвай се от все сърце, дъще Иерусалимова!
15 (L)Господ отмени присъдата над тебе, изгони врага ти! Господ, Цар Израилев, е посред тебе: повече няма да видиш зло.
16 (M)В оня ден ще кажат на Иерусалим: „не бой се“, и на Сион: „да не отслабват ръцете ти!
17 (N)Господ, Бог твой, е посред тебе: Той е силен да те спаси; ще се развесели за тебе с радост, ще бъде милостив по любовта Си, ще тържествува за тебе с песни“.
18 Тъгуващите за тържествени празненства Аз ще събера; твои са те, върху тях тежи укор.
19 (O)Ето, Аз ще стесня всички твои притеснители в онова време и ще спася онова, що хроми, ще събера разсеяното и ще ги туря на почит и именитост по цяла тая земя на техния укор.
20 (P)В онова време ще ви доведа и тогава пак ще ви събера; защото ще ви направя именити и почетни между всички земни народи, когато ще върна вашия плен пред очите ви, казва Господ.

Pecado y redención de Jerusalén
3 ¡Ay de Jerusalén, la ciudad rebelde,
manchada y opresora!
2 No escuchó la voz del Señor
ni aceptó ser corregida;
no confió en él;
no recurrió a su Dios.
3 Sus jefes son como leones que rugen;
sus jueces, como lobos del desierto
que no dejan ni un hueso para la mañana.
4 Sus profetas son insolentes, traidores;
sus sacerdotes profanan el santuario
y violan la ley del Señor.
5 Pero el Señor está en la ciudad;
él hace lo bueno, no lo malo.
Cada mañana, sin falta, establece su juicio.
En cambio, el malo
ni siquiera conoce la vergüenza.
6 Dice el Señor:
«He destruido naciones,
he arrasado las torres de sus murallas
y he dejado desiertas sus calles,
sin gente que pase por ellas.
¡En sus solitarias ciudades
no queda un solo habitante!
7 Pensé: “Así Jerusalén me temerá
y aceptará que la corrija;
así no quedará destruido su hogar
por haberla yo castigado.”
Pero ellos se apresuraron a cometer
toda clase de maldades.
8 Por eso, espérenme ustedes el día
en que me levante a hablar en su contra.
Yo, el Señor, lo afirmo:
He decidido reunir las naciones y los reinos
para descargar sobre ellos mi enojo,
mi ardiente ira.
¡Toda la tierra va a quedar destruida
por el fuego de mi furor!
9 »Cuando eso llegue, purificaré
el lenguaje de los pueblos,
para que todos me invoquen,
para que todos a una me sirvan.
10 Del otro lado de los ríos de Etiopía,
mi pueblo disperso vendrá suplicante
a traerme ofrendas.
11 En aquel tiempo, pueblo mío,
ya no te avergonzarás
de ninguna de las acciones
con que te rebelaste contra mí,
pues entonces quitaré de ti
a los altaneros y orgullosos,
y nunca volverás a mostrar orgullo
en mi santo monte.
12 Yo dejaré en ti gente humilde y sencilla,
que pondrá su confianza en mi nombre.
13 Los sobrevivientes del pueblo de Israel
no cometerán injusticias,
ni dirán mentiras,
ni llenarán de embustes su boca.
Podrán alimentarse
y descansar sin miedo alguno.»
Canto de alegría por Jerusalén
14 ¡Canta, ciudad de Sión!
¡Da voces de alegría, pueblo de Israel!
¡Alégrate, Jerusalén,
alégrate de todo corazón!
15 El Señor ha retirado la sentencia contra ti
y ha rechazado a tus enemigos.
El Señor, el Rey de Israel, está en medio de ti:
ya no tendrás que temer mal alguno.
16 En aquel tiempo se dirá a Jerusalén:
«¡No tengas miedo, Sión,
ni dejes que tus manos queden sin fuerzas!»
17 El Señor tu Dios está en medio de ti;
¡él es poderoso, y te salvará!
El Señor estará contento de ti.
Con su amor te dará nueva vida;
en su alegría cantará
18 como en día de fiesta.
El regreso de los desterrados
Dice el Señor:
«Yo te libraré entonces del mal que te amenace,
de la vergüenza que pese sobre ti.
19 En aquel tiempo actuaré
en contra de todos los que te oprimen.
Ayudaré a la oveja que cojea
y recogeré a la extraviada;
convertiré en honor y fama,
en toda la tierra,
los desprecios que les hicieron.
20 En aquel tiempo
los traeré a ustedes, los reuniré;
haré que cambie su suerte,
y les daré fama y honor
entre todos los pueblos de la tierra.
Yo, el Señor, lo he dicho.»

Jerusalem
3 Woe to the city of oppressors,(A)
rebellious(B) and defiled!(C)
2 She obeys(D) no one,
she accepts no correction.(E)
She does not trust(F) in the Lord,
she does not draw near(G) to her God.
3 Her officials within her
are roaring lions;(H)
her rulers are evening wolves,(I)
who leave nothing for the morning.(J)
4 Her prophets are unprincipled;
they are treacherous people.(K)
Her priests profane the sanctuary
and do violence to the law.(L)
5 The Lord within her is righteous;(M)
he does no wrong.(N)
Morning by morning(O) he dispenses his justice,
and every new day he does not fail,(P)
yet the unrighteous know no shame.(Q)
Jerusalem Remains Unrepentant
6 “I have destroyed nations;
their strongholds are demolished.
I have left their streets deserted,
with no one passing through.
Their cities are laid waste;(R)
they are deserted and empty.
7 Of Jerusalem I thought,
‘Surely you will fear me
and accept correction!’(S)
Then her place of refuge[a] would not be destroyed,
nor all my punishments come upon[b] her.
But they were still eager
to act corruptly(T) in all they did.
8 Therefore wait(U) for me,”
declares the Lord,
“for the day I will stand up to testify.[c]
I have decided to assemble(V) the nations,(W)
to gather the kingdoms
and to pour out my wrath(X) on them—
all my fierce anger.(Y)
The whole world will be consumed(Z)
by the fire of my jealous anger.
Restoration of Israel’s Remnant
9 “Then I will purify the lips of the peoples,
that all of them may call(AA) on the name of the Lord(AB)
and serve(AC) him shoulder to shoulder.
10 From beyond the rivers of Cush[d](AD)
my worshipers, my scattered people,
will bring me offerings.(AE)
11 On that day you, Jerusalem, will not be put to shame(AF)
for all the wrongs you have done to me,(AG)
because I will remove from you
your arrogant boasters.(AH)
Never again will you be haughty
on my holy hill.(AI)
12 But I will leave within you
the meek(AJ) and humble.
The remnant of Israel
will trust(AK) in the name of the Lord.
13 They(AL) will do no wrong;(AM)
they will tell no lies.(AN)
A deceitful tongue
will not be found in their mouths.(AO)
They will eat and lie down(AP)
and no one will make them afraid.(AQ)”
14 Sing, Daughter Zion;(AR)
shout aloud,(AS) Israel!
Be glad and rejoice(AT) with all your heart,
Daughter Jerusalem!
15 The Lord has taken away your punishment,
he has turned back your enemy.
The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you;(AU)
never again will you fear(AV) any harm.(AW)
16 On that day
they will say to Jerusalem,
“Do not fear, Zion;
do not let your hands hang limp.(AX)
17 The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.(AY)
He will take great delight(AZ) in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,(BA)
but will rejoice over you with singing.”(BB)
18 “I will remove from you
all who mourn over the loss of your appointed festivals,
which is a burden and reproach for you.
19 At that time I will deal
with all who oppressed(BC) you.
I will rescue the lame;
I will gather the exiles.(BD)
I will give them praise(BE) and honor
in every land where they have suffered shame.
20 At that time I will gather you;
at that time I will bring(BF) you home.
I will give you honor(BG) and praise(BH)
among all the peoples of the earth
when I restore your fortunes[e](BI)
before your very eyes,”
says the Lord.
