2 (A)Т акова беше видението на отблясъка от славата Господня. Като видях това, паднах ничком и чух гласа на Говорещия, и Той ми рече: „сине човешки! стани на нозете си, и Аз ще говоря с тебе“.
2 И както Той ми говореше, влезе в мене дух и ме постави на нозете ми и чух Оногова, Който ми говореше.
3 (B)И Той ми каза: „сине човешки! Аз те пращам при Израилевите синове, при непокорни люде, които се възбунтуваха против Мене; те и бащите им са изменници пред Мене дори до ден днешен.
4 (C)И тия са синове с огрубяло лице и с жестоко сърце, – при тях те пращам, и ти ще им кажеш: тъй казва Господ Бог!
5 (D)Ще слушат ли те, или не, – понеже те са размирен дом – но нека знаят, че е имало пророк между тях.
6 (E)А ти, сине човешки, не бой се от тях и не се плаши от думите им, ако те бъдат за тебе тръни и бодили, и ти ще живееш у скорпии, – не бой се от думите им и не се плаши от лицата им, защото те са размирен дом;
7 и говори им Моите думи, – слушат ли те, или не, – понеже те са упорити.
8 (F)А ти, сине човешки, слушай, какво ще ти говоря: не бъди упорит като тоя размирен дом; отвори устата си и изяж, което ще ти дам“.
9 (G)И видях, и ето ръка протегната към мене, и в нея – книжен свитък.
10 И Той го разви пред мене, и ето, свитъкът беше изписан отвътре и отвън, и беше написано на него: „плач, охкане и тъга“.

Ezekiel Called to Be a Prophet
2 And He said to me, “Son of man, (A)stand on your feet, and I will speak to you.” 2 Then (B)the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me. 3 And He said to me: “Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has (C)rebelled against Me; (D)they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day. 4 (E)For they are [a]impudent and stubborn children. I am sending you to them, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ 5 (F)As for them, whether they hear or whether they refuse—for they are a (G)rebellious house—yet they (H)will know that a prophet has been among them.
6 “And you, son of man, (I)do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though (J)briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; (K)do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, (L)though they are a rebellious house. 7 (M)You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious. 8 But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and (N)eat what I give you.”
9 Now when I looked, there was (O)a hand stretched out to me; and behold, (P)a scroll of a book was in it. 10 Then He spread it before me; and there was writing on the inside and on the outside, and written on it were lamentations and mourning and woe.

3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.
4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.
5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.
6 ¶ And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

2 Ngài phán cùng tôi: “Hỡi con người, hãy đứng dậy trên chân ngươi; Ta sẽ phán với ngươi.” 2 Khi Ngài phán với tôi, thần vào trong tôi, làm cho tôi đứng lên trên chân mình. Tôi nghe Ngài phán với tôi:
3 “Hỡi con người, Ta sai ngươi đến cùng con dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, đến cùng một nước phản nghịch, chúng đã phản nghịch cùng Ta, chúng nó và tổ tiên chúng nó đã phạm tội nghịch Ta cho đến ngày nay. 4 Ta sai ngươi đến cùng các con dân mặt mày lì lợm, tấm lòng chai đá; hãy đến cùng chúng và phán rằng CHÚA phán như vầy: 5 Dù chúng chịu nghe hay không chịu nghe, vì chúng là nhà phản nghịch, thì chúng cũng biết rằng có một tiên tri ở giữa vòng chúng. 6 Còn ngươi, hỡi con người, đừng sợ chúng nó, cũng đừng sợ những lời chúng nó nói; dù gai góc bao quanh ngươi, ngươi ngồi trên bọ cạp, đừng sợ các lời chúng nói, chớ kinh hoảng vì bộ mặt chúng nó vì chúng là nhà phản nghịch. 7 Ngươi hãy phán lời của Ta cho chúng nó, dù chúng nó chịu nghe hay không chịu nghe, vì chúng nó là những kẻ phản nghịch. 8 Còn ngươi, hỡi con người, hãy nghe lời Ta phán cùng ngươi, đừng phản nghịch như nhà phản nghịch ấy, hãy há miệng và ăn điều Ta ban cho ngươi.”
9 Tôi nhìn, kìa có một bàn tay chìa ra cho tôi; trong tay có một cuộn sách. 10 Cuộn sách mở ra trước mặt tôi, có chữ viết cả mặt trong lẫn mặt ngoài; ấy là những lời than vãn, khóc lóc và khốn nạn.

Ezekiel’s Call to Be a Prophet
2 He said to me, “Son of man,[a](A) stand(B) up on your feet and I will speak to you.(C)” 2 As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me(D) to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.
3 He said: “Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their ancestors have been in revolt against me to this very day.(E) 4 The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn.(F) Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’(G) 5 And whether they listen or fail to listen(H)—for they are a rebellious people(I)—they will know that a prophet has been among them.(J) 6 And you, son of man, do not be afraid(K) of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns(L) are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.(M) 7 You must speak(N) my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.(O) 8 But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel(P) like that rebellious people;(Q) open your mouth and eat(R) what I give you.”
9 Then I looked, and I saw a hand(S) stretched out to me. In it was a scroll,(T) 10 which he unrolled before me. On both sides of it were written words of lament and mourning and woe.(U)

- Ezekiel 2:1 The Hebrew phrase ben adam means human being. The phrase son of man is retained as a form of address here and throughout Ezekiel because of its possible association with “Son of Man” in the New Testament.
