⁹ And He said, “Go, and ^(A)tell this people:

¹¹ And go, get to the captives, to the children of your people, and speak to them and tell them, ^(A)‘Thus says the Lord God,’ whether they hear, or whether they refuse.”

^26 (A)I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be mute and ^(B)not be ^[a]one to rebuke them, ^(C)for they are a rebellious house.

^27 (A)But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, ^(B)‘Thus says the Lord God.’ He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.

¹² And when you go into a household, greet it. ^13 (A)If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. ^(B)But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. ^14 (C)And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, ^(D)shake off the dust from your feet. ¹⁵ Assuredly, I say to you, ^(E)it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!

⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, ^(A)“It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but ^(B)since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, ^(C)we turn to the Gentiles.
