7 Когато царят живееше в своя дом, и Господ бе го успокоил от всичките му околни врагове,

²^(A)тогава царят каза на пророк Натана: ето, аз живея в кедров дом, а Божият ковчег стои под шатра.

³^(B)И Натан каза на царя: иди, върши всичко, що ти е на сърце, защото Господ е с тебе.

⁴^(C)Но в същата нощ биде слово Господне към Натана:

⁵^(D)иди, кажи на Моя раб Давида: тъй говори Господ: ти ще Ми съградиш дом, за да живея в него,

⁶когато Аз не съм живял в дом, откак изведох синовете Израилеви из Египет, и доднес, но преминавах в шатра и в скиния?

⁷Където и да ходих с всички синове Израилеви, казах ли поне дума на някое от колената, на което съм възлагал да пасе Моя народ Израиля: защо Ми не съградите кедров дом?

⁸^(E)И сега кажи тъй на Моя раб Давида: тъй говори Господ Саваот: Аз те взех от овчето стадо, за да бъдеш вожд на Моя народ Израиля;

⁹и вредом бях с тебе, където и да отиваше, изтребих пред лицето ти всички твои врагове, и възвеличих името ти, както името на великите люде на земята.

¹⁰^(F)И Аз ще отредя място за Моя народ, за Израиля, ще го утвърдя, и той спокойно ще живее на мястото си и няма вече да се безпокои, и нечестиви люде няма вече да го притесняват, както попреди,

¹¹от онова време, когато Аз отредих съдии над Моя народ Израиля; и Аз ще те успокоя от всичките ти врагове. И Господ ти възвестява, че Той ще ти въздигне дом.

¹²^(G)А кога се навършат твоите дни, и ти починеш при отците си, Аз ще въздигна след тебе твоето семе, което ще произлезе от твоите чресла, и ще закрепя царството му.

¹³^(H)Той ще съгради дом на името Ми, и Аз ще утвърдя престола на царството му довека.

¹⁴^(I)Аз ще му бъда баща, и той ще Ми бъде син; и ако съгреши, ще го накажа с тояга на мъже и с удари на синове човешки;

¹⁵^(J)ала милостта Си няма да дигна от него, както я дигнах от Саула, когото Аз отхвърлих пред лицето ти.

¹⁶^(K)И ще бъде непоколебим твоят дом и твоето царство довека пред лицето Ми, и престолът ти ще пребъде довека.

¹⁷^(L)Всички тия думи и цялото това видение Натан разказа на Давида.

¹⁸И отиде цар Давид, застана пред лицето на Господа, и каза: кой съм аз, Господи (мой), Господи, и що е домът ми, та толкова ме възвеличи!

¹⁹^(M)И това дори се показа малко в Твоите очи, Господи мой, Господи; но Ти възвести още за дома на Твоя раб далечна бъднина. Това е вече по човешки, Господи мой, Господи!

²⁰^(N)Какво още може да Ти каже Давид? Ти познаваш Твоя раб, Господи мой, Господи!

²¹Ти вършиш това заради думата Си и по сърцето Си, като откриваш на Своя раб всичко това велико нещо.

²²^(O)По всичко си велик Ти, Господи мой, Господи, защото няма подобен на Тебе и няма бог, освен Тебе, по всичко, що сме слушали с ушите си.

²³^(P)И кой е подобен на Твоя народ Израиля, едничък на земята народ, за който е идвал Бог да Си го придобие за народ, да прослави името Си и да извърши велико и страшно пред Твоя народ, който Си Ти придоби от египтяни, като прогони народите и боговете им?

²⁴^(Q)И Ти утвърди за Себе Си Твоя народ Израиля като Свой собствен народ довека, и Ти, Господи, стана негов Бог.

²⁵И сега, Господи Боже, утвърди довека думата, която си изрекъл за Твоя раб и за дома му, и изпълни, каквото си изрекъл.

²⁶И да се възвеличи името Ти довека, та да казват: Господ Саваот е Бог над Израиля. И домът на Твоя раб Давида да бъде твърд пред Твоето лице.

²⁷^(R)Понеже Ти, Господи Саваоте, Боже Израилев, откри на Твоя раб, думайки: „ще ти въздигна дом“, Твоят раб приготви сърцето си да Ти се моли с тая молитва.

²⁸^(S)И тъй, Господи мой, Господи! Ти си Бог, и Твоите думи са неизменни, и Ти възвести на Твоя раб такова добро.

²⁹^(T)И сега почни и благослови дома на Твоя раб, та той да бъде вечно пред Твоето лице, защото Ти, Господи мой, Господи, си възвестил това, и с Твоя благословия домът на Твоя раб ще стане благословен (за да бъде пред Тебе) довека.

God’s Promise to David^(A)

7 After the king was settled in his palace^(B) and the Lord had given him rest from all his enemies^(C) around him,^(D) ²he said to Nathan^(E) the prophet, “Here I am, living in a house^(F) of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.”^(G)

³Nathan replied to the king, “Whatever you have in mind,^(H) go ahead and do it, for the Lord is with you.”

⁴But that night the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying:

⁵“Go and tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord says: Are you^(I) the one to build me a house to dwell in?^(J) ⁶I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day.^(K) I have been moving from place to place with a tent^(L) as my dwelling.^(M) ⁷Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites,^(N) did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to shepherd^(O) my people Israel, “Why have you not built me a house^(P) of cedar?^(Q)”’

⁸“Now then, tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock,^(R) and appointed you ruler^(S) over my people Israel.^(T) ⁹I have been with you wherever you have gone,^(U) and I have cut off all your enemies from before you.^(V) Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men on earth.^(W) ¹⁰And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant^(X) them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed.^(Y) Wicked^(Z) people will not oppress them anymore,^(AA) as they did at the beginning ¹¹and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders^[a]^(AB) over my people Israel. I will also give you rest from all your enemies.^(AC)

“‘The Lord declares^(AD) to you that the Lord himself will establish^(AE) a house^(AF) for you: ¹²When your days are over and you rest^(AG) with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood,^(AH) and I will establish his kingdom.^(AI) ¹³He is the one who will build a house^(AJ) for my Name,^(AK) and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.^(AL) ¹⁴I will be his father, and he will be my son.^(AM) When he does wrong, I will punish him^(AN) with a rod^(AO) wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands. ¹⁵But my love will never be taken away from him,^(AP) as I took it away from Saul,^(AQ) whom I removed from before you. ¹⁶Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me^[b]; your throne^(AR) will be established^(AS) forever.^(AT)’”

¹⁷Nathan reported to David all the words of this entire revelation.

David’s Prayer^(AU)

¹⁸Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said:

“Who am I,^(AV) Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? ¹⁹And as if this were not enough in your sight, Sovereign Lord, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant—and this decree,^(AW) Sovereign Lord, is for a mere human!^[c]

²⁰“What more can David say^(AX) to you? For you know^(AY) your servant,^(AZ) Sovereign Lord. ²¹For the sake of your word and according to your will, you have done this great thing and made it known to your servant.

²²“How great^(BA) you are,^(BB) Sovereign Lord! There is no one like^(BC) you, and there is no God^(BD) but you, as we have heard with our own ears.^(BE) ²³And who is like your people Israel^(BF)—the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for himself, and to make a name^(BG) for himself, and to perform great and awesome wonders^(BH) by driving out nations and their gods from before your people, whom you redeemed^(BI) from Egypt?^[d] ²⁴You have established your people Israel as your very own^(BJ) forever, and you, Lord, have become their God.^(BK)

²⁵“And now, Lord God, keep forever the promise^(BL) you have made concerning your servant and his house. Do as you promised, ²⁶so that your name^(BM) will be great forever. Then people will say, ‘The Lord Almighty is God over Israel!’ And the house of your servant David will be established^(BN) in your sight.

²⁷“Lord Almighty, God of Israel, you have revealed this to your servant, saying, ‘I will build a house for you.’ So your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you. ²⁸Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy,^(BO) and you have promised these good things to your servant. ²⁹Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, Sovereign Lord, have spoken, and with your blessing^(BP) the house of your servant will be blessed forever.”

Pacto de Dios con David

(1 Cr. 17.1-27)

7 Aconteció que cuando ya el rey habitaba en su casa, después que Jehová le había dado reposo de todos sus enemigos en derredor, ²dijo el rey al profeta Natán: Mira ahora, yo habito en casa de cedro, y el arca de Dios está entre cortinas. ³Y Natán dijo al rey: Anda, y haz todo lo que está en tu corazón, porque Jehová está contigo.

⁴Aconteció aquella noche, que vino palabra de Jehová a Natán, diciendo: ⁵Ve y di a mi siervo David: Así ha dicho Jehová: ¿Tú me has de edificar casa en que yo more? ⁶Ciertamente no he habitado en casas desde el día en que saqué a los hijos de Israel de Egipto hasta hoy, sino que he andado en tienda y en tabernáculo. ⁷Y en todo cuanto he andado con todos los hijos de Israel, ¿he hablado yo palabra a alguna de las tribus de Israel, a quien haya mandado apacentar a mi pueblo de Israel, diciendo: Por qué no me habéis edificado casa de cedro? ⁸Ahora, pues, dirás así a mi siervo David: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Yo te tomé del redil, de detrás de las ovejas, para que fueses príncipe sobre mi pueblo, sobre Israel; ⁹y he estado contigo en todo cuanto has andado, y delante de ti he destruido a todos tus enemigos, y te he dado nombre grande, como el nombre de los grandes que hay en la tierra. ¹⁰Además, yo fijaré lugar a mi pueblo Israel y lo plantaré, para que habite en su lugar y nunca más sea removido, ni los inicuos le aflijan más, como al principio, ¹¹desde el día en que puse jueces sobre mi pueblo Israel; y a ti te daré descanso de todos tus enemigos. Asimismo Jehová te hace saber que él te hará casa. ¹²Y cuando tus días sean cumplidos, y duermas con tus padres, yo levantaré después de ti a uno de tu linaje, el cual procederá de tus entrañas, y afirmaré su reino. ¹³Él edificará casa a mi nombre, y yo afirmaré para siempre el trono de su reino. ¹⁴Yo le seré a él padre, y él me será a mí hijo.^(A) Y si él hiciere mal, yo le castigaré con vara de hombres, y con azotes de hijos de hombres; ¹⁵pero mi misericordia no se apartará de él como la aparté de Saúl, al cual quité de delante de ti. ¹⁶Y será afirmada tu casa y tu reino para siempre delante de tu rostro, y tu trono será estable eternamente. ¹⁷Conforme a todas estas palabras, y conforme a toda esta visión, así habló Natán a David.

¹⁸Y entró el rey David y se puso delante de Jehová, y dijo: Señor Jehová, ¿quién soy yo, y qué es mi casa, para que tú me hayas traído hasta aquí? ¹⁹Y aun te ha parecido poco esto, Señor Jehová, pues también has hablado de la casa de tu siervo en lo por venir. ¿Es así como procede el hombre, Señor Jehová? ²⁰¿Y qué más puede añadir David hablando contigo? Pues tú conoces a tu siervo, Señor Jehová. ²¹Todas estas grandezas has hecho por tu palabra y conforme a tu corazón, haciéndolas saber a tu siervo. ²²Por tanto, tú te has engrandecido, Jehová Dios; por cuanto no hay como tú, ni hay Dios fuera de ti, conforme a todo lo que hemos oído con nuestros oídos. ²³¿Y quién como tu pueblo, como Israel, nación singular en la tierra? Porque fue Dios para rescatarlo por pueblo suyo, y para ponerle nombre, y para hacer grandezas a su favor, y obras terribles a tu tierra, por amor de tu pueblo que rescataste para ti de Egipto, de las naciones y de sus dioses. ²⁴Porque tú estableciste a tu pueblo Israel por pueblo tuyo para siempre; y tú, oh Jehová, fuiste a ellos por Dios. ²⁵Ahora pues, Jehová Dios, confirma para siempre la palabra que has hablado sobre tu siervo y sobre su casa, y haz conforme a lo que has dicho. ²⁶Que sea engrandecido tu nombre para siempre, y se diga: Jehová de los ejércitos es Dios sobre Israel; y que la casa de tu siervo David sea firme delante de ti. ²⁷Porque tú, Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, revelaste al oído de tu siervo, diciendo: Yo te edificaré casa. Por esto tu siervo ha hallado en su corazón valor para hacer delante de ti esta súplica. ²⁸Ahora pues, Jehová Dios, tú eres Dios, y tus palabras son verdad, y tú has prometido este bien a tu siervo. ²⁹Ten ahora a bien bendecir la casa de tu siervo, para que permanezca perpetuamente delante de ti, porque tú, Jehová Dios, lo has dicho, y con tu bendición será bendita la casa de tu siervo para siempre.
