105 (A)Славословете Господа; призовавайте името Му;
възвестявайте между племената делата Му.
2 (B)Пейте Му, славословете Го;
говорете за всичките Му чудесни дела.
3 Хвалете се с Неговото свято име;
нека се весели сърцето на онези, които търсят Господа.
4 (C)Търсете Господа и Неговата сила;
търсете лицето Му винаги.
5 (D)Помнете чудесните дела, които е извършил,
знаменията Му и отсъжданията на устата Му,
6 вие, потомци на слугата Му Авраам,
деца Яковови, Негови избрани.
7 (E)Той е Господ, нашият Бог,
Чийто съд е по цялата земя.
8 (F)Винаги помни завета Си;
словото е заповядал да стои за хиляда поколения,
9 (G)което изговори на Авраам,
и клетвата, с която се закле на Исаак,
10 която утвърди на Яков за закон,
на Израил за вечен завет,
11 (H)като каза: На тебе ще дам Ханаанската земя
за дял на наследството ви.
12 (I)Когато те бяха още малко на брой –
да!, – малко и пришълци в нея,
13 и се скитаха от народ в народ,
от едно царство в друго,
14 (J)Той не остави никой да им навреди,
дори заради тях изобличи царе,
15 като каза: Да не закачите помазаните Ми
и да не сторите зло на пророците Ми.
16 (K)После призова глад на земята,
строши всяка подпорка от хляб.
17 (L)Изпрати пред тях човека Йосиф,
който беше продаден като роб.
18 (M)Притиснаха краката му с окови;
душата му страдаше в притискането на желязото,
19 (N)докато дойде време да се изпълни думата му;
защото словото Господне го изпитваше.
20 (O)Царят прати и го развързаха –
управителят на племена, – и го освободиха.
21 (P)Постави го господар на дома си
и управител на целия си имот,
22 за да вързва първенците му по волята си
и да поучава старейшините му на мъдрост.
23 (Q)Тогава Израил дойде в Египет.
Да! Яков се пресели в Хамовата земя,
24 (R)където Господ умножи народа Си много
и ги направи по-силни от противниците им.
25 (S)Обърна сърцето им да мразят народа Му,
да постъпват коварно със слугите Му.
26 (T)Прати слугата Си Моисей
и Аарон, когото беше избрал,
27 (U)които извършиха сред тях знаменията Му
и чудесата Му в Хамовата земя.
28 (V)Той изпрати тъмнина и причини мрак,
дано не се възпротивят на думите Му [a].
29 (W)Превърна водите им в кръв
и изтреби рибите им.
30 (X)Земята им започна да гъмжи от жаби
чак до вътрешните стаи на царете им.
31 (Y)Той каза и дойдоха рояци мухи
и въшки по всичките им предели.
32 (Z)Даде им град вместо дъжд
и гръмотевици в земята им.
33 (AA)Порази също така лозята им и смокините им
и изпочупи всичките дървета в пределите им.
34 (AB)Каза – и дойдоха скакалци
и безчислени гъсеници,
35 които изпоядоха цялата трева по земята им
и изядоха плода на нивите им.
36 (AC)Порази и всички първородни в земята им,
първородния на силата на всички тях.
37 (AD)И изведе народа Си със сребро и злато;
и нямаше нито един между племената им,
който се спъваше по пътя.
38 (AE)Развесели се Египет, когато си излязоха;
защото страх от тях го беше нападнал.
39 (AF)Разпростря облак да ги покрива
и огън да им свети нощем.
40 (AG)Те поискаха и Той им докара пъдпъдъци
и с небесен хляб ги насити.
41 (AH)Разцепи скалата и бликнаха води,
потекоха в безводните места като река.
42 (AI)Защото си припомни Своето свято обещание
към слугата Си Авраам.
43 Така изведе народа Си с веселие,
избраните Си – с пеене.
44 (AJ)Даде им земите на народите;
и те получиха плода, за който племената се бяха трудили,
45 (AK)за да пазят Неговите наредби
и да изпълняват законите Му. Алилуя.

105 Give thanks to the Lord;
call upon his name;
make his deeds known to all people!
2 Sing to God;
sing praises to the Lord;
dwell on all his wondrous works!
3 Give praise to God’s holy name!
Let the hearts rejoice of all those seeking the Lord!
4 Pursue the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always!
5 Remember the wondrous works he has done,
all his marvelous works, and the justice he declared—
6 you who are the offspring of Abraham, his servant,
and the children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
7 The Lord—he is our God.
His justice is everywhere throughout the whole world.
8 God remembers his covenant forever,
the word he commanded to a thousand generations,
9 which he made with Abraham,
the solemn pledge he swore to Isaac.
10 God set it up as binding law for Jacob,
as an eternal covenant for Israel,
11 promising, “I hereby give you the land of Canaan
as your allotted inheritance.”
12 When they were few in number—
insignificant, just immigrants—
13 wandering from nation to nation,
from one kingdom to the next,
14 God didn’t let anyone oppress them.
God punished kings for their sake:
15 “Don’t touch my anointed ones;
don’t harm my prophets!”
16 When God called for a famine in the land,
destroying every source of food,
17 he sent a man ahead of them,
who was sold as a slave: it was Joseph.
18 Joseph’s feet hurt in his shackles;
his neck was in an iron collar,
19 until what he predicted actually happened,
until what the Lord had said proved him true.[a]
20 The king sent for Joseph and set him free;
the ruler of many people released him.
21 The king made Joseph master of his house and ruler over everything he owned,
22 to make sure his princes acted according to his will,
and to teach wisdom to his advisors.
23 That’s how Israel came to Egypt,
how Jacob became an immigrant in the land of Ham.
24 God made his people very fruitful,
more powerful than their enemies,
25 whose hearts God changed so they hated his people
and dealt shrewdly with his servants.
26 God sent Moses his servant
and the one he chose, Aaron.
27 They put God’s signs on Egypt,[b]
his marvelous works on the land of Ham.
28 God sent darkness, and it became dark,
but the Egyptians rejected his word.
29 God turned their waters into blood
and killed their fish.
30 God made their land swarm with frogs[c]—
even in the bedrooms of their king!
31 God spoke, and the insects came—
gnats throughout their whole country!
32 God turned their rain into hail
along with lightning flashes throughout their land.
33 God destroyed their vines and their fig trees;
shattered the trees of their countryside.
34 God spoke, and the locusts came—
countless grasshoppers came!
35 They devoured all the plants in their land;
they devoured the fruit of their soil.
36 God struck down all the oldest sons throughout their land;
struck down their very pride and joy.
37 Then God brought Israel out, filled with silver and gold;
not one of its tribes stumbled.
38 Egypt celebrated when they left,
because the dread of Israel had come upon them.
39 God spread out clouds as a covering;
gave lightning to provide light at night.
40 The people asked, and God brought quail;
God filled them full with food from heaven.
41 God opened the rock and out gushed water—
flowing like a river through the desert!
42 Because God remembered his holy promise
to Abraham his servant,
43 God brought his people out with rejoicing,
his chosen ones with songs of joy.
44 God gave them the lands of other nations;
they inherited the wealth of many peoples—
45 all so that they would keep his laws
and observe his instructions.
Praise the Lord!

1 Give praise to the Lord,(B) proclaim his name;(C)
make known among the nations what he has done.
2 Sing to him,(D) sing praise to him;(E)
tell of all his wonderful acts.(F)
3 Glory in his holy name;(G)
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
4 Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face(H) always.
5 Remember the wonders(I) he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,(J)
6 you his servants, the descendants of Abraham,(K)
his chosen(L) ones, the children of Jacob.
7 He is the Lord our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.
8 He remembers his covenant(M) forever,
the promise he made, for a thousand generations,
9 the covenant he made with Abraham,(N)
the oath he swore to Isaac.
10 He confirmed it(O) to Jacob as a decree,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant:(P)
11 “To you I will give the land of Canaan(Q)
as the portion you will inherit.”(R)
12 When they were but few in number,(S)
few indeed, and strangers in it,(T)
13 they wandered from nation to nation,(U)
from one kingdom to another.
14 He allowed no one to oppress(V) them;
for their sake he rebuked kings:(W)
15 “Do not touch(X) my anointed ones;
do my prophets(Y) no harm.”
16 He called down famine(Z) on the land
and destroyed all their supplies of food;
17 and he sent a man before them—

23 Then Israel entered Egypt;(AH)
Jacob resided(AI) as a foreigner in the land of Ham.(AJ)
24 The Lord made his people very fruitful;
he made them too numerous(AK) for their foes,
25 whose hearts he turned(AL) to hate his people,
to conspire(AM) against his servants.
26 He sent Moses(AN) his servant,
and Aaron,(AO) whom he had chosen.(AP)
27 They performed(AQ) his signs(AR) among them,
his wonders(AS) in the land of Ham.
28 He sent darkness(AT) and made the land dark—
for had they not rebelled against(AU) his words?
29 He turned their waters into blood,(AV)
causing their fish to die.(AW)
30 Their land teemed with frogs,(AX)
which went up into the bedrooms of their rulers.
31 He spoke,(AY) and there came swarms of flies,(AZ)
and gnats(BA) throughout their country.
32 He turned their rain into hail,(BB)
with lightning throughout their land;
33 he struck down their vines(BC) and fig trees(BD)
and shattered the trees of their country.

38 Egypt was glad when they left,
because dread of Israel(BK) had fallen on them.

he fed them well with the bread of heaven.(BP)
41 He opened the rock,(BQ) and water gushed out;
it flowed like a river in the desert.
42 For he remembered his holy promise(BR)
given to his servant Abraham.
43 He brought out his people with rejoicing,(BS)
his chosen ones with shouts of joy;
44 he gave them the lands of the nations,(BT)
and they fell heir to what others had toiled(BU) for—
45 that they might keep his precepts
and observe his laws.(BV)

Herrens gärningar mot sitt folk
105 [a]Tacka Herren, åkalla hans namn,
gör hans gärningar kända
bland folken!
2 [b]Sjung till honom, lovsjung honom,
tala om alla hans under!
3 Ha er ära i hans heliga namn!
De som söker Herren
ska glädja sig av hjärtat.
4 Fråga efter Herren och hans makt,
sök alltid hans ansikte.
5 Tänk på de under han gjort,
på hans tecken
och hans muns domar,
6 ni Abrahams barn, hans tjänare,
ni Jakobs söner, hans utvalda.
7 Han är Herren vår Gud,
över hela jorden når hans domar.
8 [c]Han minns för evigt sitt förbund,
i tusen släktled ordet han gett,
9 [d]förbundet han slöt med Abraham
och eden han gav till Isak.
10 [e]Han bestämde det
för Jakob som en lag,
för Israel som ett evigt förbund:
11 "Till dig ger jag Kanaans land
som er arvedel och egendom."
12 Då var de en liten skara,
de var få och främlingar i landet.
13 [f]De vandrade från folk till folk,
från ett rike till ett annat.
14 [g]Han lät ingen förtrycka dem,

för deras skull:

och lät dem lida brist på bröd,

18 [j]Man slog hans fötter i bojor
och lade järn om hans hals,

och Herrens ord
bevisade hans oskuld.
20 [l]Då släpptes han
på kungens befallning,
folkens härskare gav honom fri.
21 [m]Han satte honom till herre
över sitt hus,
till härskare över allt han ägde,
22 [n]till att binda[o] hans furstar
efter sin vilja
och lära hans äldste vishet.
23 [p]Och Israel kom till Egypten,
Jakob blev gäst i Hams land.
24 [q]Herren gjorde sitt folk
mycket fruktsamt,
starkare[r] än deras fiender.
25 [s]Han vände deras hjärtan
till att hata hans folk,
till att handla svekfullt
mot hans tjänare.
26 [t]Han sände Mose, sin tjänare,
och Aron som han utvalt.

och allt blev mörkt,

slukade grödan på marken.

förstlingen av all deras livskraft.
37 [ae]Så förde han ut dem
med silver och guld,
i hans stammar stapplade ingen.
38 Egypten gladde sig när de drog ut,
skräck för Israel hade fallit
över dem.
39 [af]Han bredde ut ett moln till skydd
och en eld till att lysa i natten.
40 [ag]De bad, och han sände vaktlar
och mättade dem
med bröd från himlen.
41 [ah]Han öppnade klippan
och vattnet flödade,
det rann i öknen som en ström,
42 för han tänkte på sitt heliga löfte
till sin tjänare Abraham.
43 Så förde han ut
sitt folk med fröjd,
sina utvalda med jubel.

det folken förvärvat fick de ärva,

och följa hans undervisning.
