1 (A)На осмия месец, през втората година на Дария, биде слово Господне към пророк Захария, син Варахиев, син Адов:
2 разгневи се Господ на бащите ви с голям гняв;
3 (B)затова кажи им: тъй казва Господ Саваот: обърнете се към Мене, казва Господ Саваот, и Аз ще се обърна към вас, казва Господ Саваот.
4 (C)Не бъдете като бащите си, към които се провикваха предишните пророци, думайки: тъй казва Господ Саваот: обърнете се от лошите си пътища и от лошите си дела; но те не слушаха и не Ми дадоха внимание, казва Господ.
5 (D)Бащите ви де са? па и пророците ще живеят ли вечно?
6 Но думите Ми и наредбите Ми, които заповядах на Моите раби – пророците, нима не постигнаха бащите ви? И те се обръщаха и казваха: както определи Господ Саваот да постъпва с нас по нашите пътища и по делата ни, тъй и постъпи с нас.
7 На двайсет и четвъртия ден от единайсетия месец, – това е месец шеват, – през втората година на Дария, биде слово Господне към пророк Захария, син Варахиев, Адов син:
8 (E)видях през нощта: ето, един мъж на риж кон стои между мирти, които бяха в глъбнатината, а отзаде му рижи, сиви и бели коне;
9 (F)и рекох: кои са те, господине мой? И рече ми Ангелът, който говореше с мене: ще ти покажа, кои са те.
10 И отговори мъжът, който стоеше между миртите, и рече: това са ония, които Господ прати да обикалят земята.
11 И те отговаряха на Ангела Господен, който стоеше между миртите и рекоха: обиколихме земята, и ето, цялата земя е населена и спокойна.
12 (G)И отговори Ангелът Господен и рече: Господи Вседържителю! Докога няма да се смилиш над Иерусалим и над градовете Иудини, на които Ти се гневиш ето вече седемдесет години?
13 Тогава в отговор на Ангела, който говореше с мене, изрече Господ слова благи, слова утешителни.
14 (H)И рече ми Ангелът, който говореше с мене: провъзгласи и кажи: тъй казва Господ Саваот: поревнувах Аз за Иерусалим и за Сион с голяма ревност;
15 и с голямо негодуване негодувам против народите, които живеят в покой, защото, когато Аз се малко разгневих, те усилиха злото.
16 (I)Затова тъй казва Господ: Аз се обръщам към Иерусалим с милосърдие; в него ще се съгради Моят дом, казва Господ Саваот, и земемерна връв ще се протегне по Иерусалим.
17 (J)Още провъзгласи и кажи: тъй казва Господ Саваот: отново градовете Ми ще се препълнят с блага, и Господ ще утеши Сион и пак ще избере Иерусалим.
18 И повдигнах очите си и видях: ето четири рога.
19 И рекох на Ангела, който говореше с мене: какво е това? Той ми отговори: това са роговете, които разпръснаха Иуда, Израиля и Иерусалим.
20 После Господ ми показа четирма работника.
21 И рекох: какво отиват да правят те? Той ми каза тъй: ония рогове разпръснаха Иуда, тъй че никой не може да подигне главата си; а тия дойдоха да ги изплашат, да отбият роговете на народите, които повдигнаха рога си против земята на Иуда, за да я разпръснат.
Zechariah 1
Young's Literal Translation
1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, hath a word of Jehovah been unto Zechariah, son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, the prophet, saying:
2 `Jehovah was wroth against your fathers -- wrath!
3 And thou hast said unto them, Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, turn back unto Me, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And I turn back unto you, said Jehovah of Hosts.
4 Ye shall not be as your fathers, To whom the former prophets called, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, Turn back I pray you, From your evil ways and from your evil doings, And they did not hearken, Nor attend to Me -- an affirmation of Jehovah.
5 Your fathers -- where [are] they? And the prophets -- to the age do they live?
6 Only, My words, and My statutes, That I commanded My servants the prophets, Have they not overtaken your fathers, And they turn back and say: As Jehovah of Hosts designed to do to us, According to our ways, and according to our doings, So He hath done to us?'
7 On the twenty and fourth day of the eleventh month, (it [is] the month of Sebat,) in the second year of Darius, hath a word of Jehovah been unto Zechariah, son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, the prophet, saying:
8 I have seen by night, and lo, one riding on a red horse, and he is standing between the myrtles that [are] in the shade, and behind him [are] horses, red, bay, and white.
9 And I say, `What [are] these, my lord?' And the messenger who is speaking with me saith unto me, `I -- I do shew thee what these [are].'
10 And the one who is standing between the myrtles doth answer and say, `These [are] they whom Jehovah hath sent to walk up and down in the land.'
11 And they answer the messenger of Jehovah who is standing between the myrtles, and say, `We have walked up and down in the land, and lo, all the land is sitting still, and at rest.'
12 And the messenger of Jehovah answereth and saith, `Jehovah of Hosts! till when dost Thou not pity Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, that Thou hast abhorred these seventy years?'
13 And Jehovah answereth the messenger, who is speaking with me, good words, comfortable words.
14 And the messenger who is speaking with me, saith unto me, `Call, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: I have been zealous for Jerusalem, and for Zion [with] great zeal.
15 And [with] great wrath I am wroth against the nations who are at ease, For I was a little wroth, and they assisted -- for evil.
16 Therefore, thus said Jehovah: I have turned to Jerusalem with mercies, My house is built in it, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And a line is stretched over Jerusalem.
17 Again call, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, Again do my cities overflow from good, And Jehovah hath again comforted Zion, And He hath fixed again on Jerusalem.'
18 And I lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, four horns.
19 And I say unto the messenger who is speaking with me, `What [are] these?' And he saith unto me, `These [are] the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.'
20 And Jehovah doth shew me four artizans.
21 And I say, `What [are] these coming in to do?' And He speaketh, saying: `These [are] the horns that have scattered Judah, so that no one hath lifted up his head, and these come in to trouble them, to cast down the horns of the nations who are lifting up a horn against the land of Judah -- to scatter it.'

1 Le huitième mois, la seconde année de Darius, la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Zacharie, fils de Bérékia, fils d'Iddo, le prophète, en ces mots:
2 L'Éternel a été très irrité contre vos pères.
3 Dis-leur donc: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Revenez à moi, dit l'Éternel des armées, et je reviendrai à vous, dit l'Éternel des armées.
4 Ne soyez pas comme vos pères, auxquels s'adressaient les premiers prophètes, en disant: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Détournez-vous de vos mauvaises voies, de vos mauvaises actions! Mais ils n'écoutèrent pas, ils ne firent pas attention à moi, dit l'Éternel.
5 Vos pères, où sont-ils? et les prophètes pouvaient-ils vivre éternellement?
6 Cependant mes paroles et les ordres que j'avais donnés à mes serviteurs, les prophètes, n'ont-ils pas atteint vos pères? Ils se sont retournés, et ils ont dit: L'Éternel des armées nous a traités comme il avait résolu de le faire selon nos voies et nos actions.
7 Le vingt-quatrième jour du onzième mois, qui est le mois de Schebat, la seconde année de Darius, la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Zacharie, fils de Bérékia, fils d'Iddo, le prophète, en ces mots:
8 Je regardai pendant la nuit, et voici, un homme était monté sur un cheval roux, et se tenait parmi des myrtes dans un lieu ombragé; il y avait derrière lui des chevaux roux, fauves, et blancs.
9 Je dis: Qui sont ces chevaux, mon seigneur? Et l'ange qui parlait avec moi me dit: Je te ferai voir qui sont ces chevaux.
10 L'homme qui se tenait parmi les myrtes prit la parole et dit: Ce sont ceux que l'Éternel a envoyés pour parcourir la terre.
11 Et ils s'adressèrent à l'ange de l'Éternel, qui se tenait parmi les myrtes, et ils dirent: Nous avons parcouru la terre, et voici, toute la terre est en repos et tranquille.
12 Alors l'ange de l'Éternel prit la parole et dit: Éternel des armées, jusques à quand n'auras-tu pas compassion de Jérusalem et des villes de Juda, contre lesquelles tu es irrité depuis soixante-dix ans?
13 L'Éternel répondit par de bonnes paroles, par des paroles de consolation, à l'ange qui parlait avec moi.
14 Et l'ange qui parlait avec moi me dit: Crie, et dis: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Je suis ému d'une grande jalousie pour Jérusalem et pour Sion,
15 et je suis saisi d'une grande irritation contre les nations orgueilleuses; car je n'étais que peu irrité, mais elles ont contribué au mal.
16 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel: Je reviens à Jérusalem avec compassion; ma maison y sera rebâtie, et le cordeau sera étendu sur Jérusalem.
17 Crie de nouveau, et dis: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Mes villes auront encore des biens en abondance; l'Éternel consolera encore Sion, il choisira encore Jérusalem.
18 Je levai les yeux et je regardai, et voici, il y avait quatre cornes.
19 Je dis à l'ange qui parlait avec moi: Qu'est-ce que ces cornes? Et il me dit: Ce sont les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda, Israël et Jérusalem.
20 L'Éternel me fit voir quatre forgerons.
21 Je dis: Que viennent-ils faire? Et il dit: Ce sont les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda, tellement que nul ne lève la tête; et ces forgerons sont venus pour les effrayer, et pour abattre les cornes des nations qui ont levé la corne contre le pays de Juda, afin d'en disperser les habitants.
