帖撒羅尼迦後書 2:13-17
站立穩當
13 蒙主所愛的弟兄們，我們應該為你們常常感謝神，因為神為了救恩的緣故，就藉著在聖靈裡的分別為聖，以及真理的信仰，揀選了你們做為初熟的果子[a]。 14 為此，神也藉著我們的福音召喚了你們，使你們獲得我們主耶穌基督的榮耀。 15 弟兄們，由此可見，你們當站立得穩；你們所領受的傳統，無論是藉著我們的話語，還是藉著我們的書信，你們都要持守。
16 願我們的主耶穌基督自己和神我們的父，就是愛我們又在恩典中把永恆的安慰和美好的盼望賜給我們的那一位， 17 安慰你們的心，並且在一切美善的工作和言語上堅固你們。
路加福音 20:27-38
撒都該人與復活
27 撒都該人來到耶穌那裡，他們一向說沒有復活的事。他們問耶穌， 28 說：「老師，摩西為我們寫道：如果一個人的兄弟死了，留下妻子而沒有孩子，他就應該娶這婦人，為他兄弟留後裔。[a] 29 曾經有兄弟七人，第一個娶了妻子，沒有孩子就死了。 30 第二個、[b] 31 第三個也娶了她；七個人都是這樣，沒有留下兒女就死了。 32 後來這婦人也死了。 33 既然這七個人都娶過她為妻，那麼，在復活的時候，這婦人是誰的妻子呢？」
34 耶穌對他們說：「這世代的兒女又娶又嫁； 35 但那些算是配得上承受那世代，又配得上從死人中復活的人，既不娶也不嫁。 36 事實上，他們再也不會死，因為就與天使一樣；他們既然是復活的兒女，就是神的兒女了。 37 至於死人復活的事，摩西在『荊棘篇』上也指明了，正如稱主是『亞伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神。』[c] 38 所以神不是死人的神，而是活人的神；在神，人都是活著的。」
