Psalm 119:97-104

Mem

97 How I (A)love Your Law!
It is my (B)meditation all the day.
98 Your (C)commandments make me wiser than my enemies,
For they are ever [a]mine.
99 I have more insight than all my teachers,
For Your testimonies are my (D)meditation.
100 I understand (E)more than those who are old,
Because I have (F)complied with Your precepts.
101 I have (G)restrained my feet from every evil way,
So that I may keep Your word.
102 I have not (H)turned aside from Your judgments,
For You Yourself have taught me.
103 How (I)sweet are Your [b]words to my [c]taste!
Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 From Your precepts I (J)get understanding;
Therefore I (K)hate every false way.

Jeremiah 31:15-26

15 This is what the Lord says:
(A)A voice is heard in (B)Ramah,
Lamenting and bitter weeping.
Rachel is weeping for her children;
She (C)refuses to be comforted for her children,
Because (D)they are no more.”

16 This is what the Lord says:

(E)Restrain your voice from weeping
And your eyes from tears;
For your (F)work will be rewarded,” declares the Lord,
“And they will (G)return from the land of the enemy.
17 There is (H)hope for your future,” declares the Lord,
“And your children will return to their own territory.
18 I have certainly heard Ephraim (I)grieving,
‘You have (J)disciplined me, and I was corrected,
Like an untrained (K)calf;
(L)Bring me back that I may be restored,
For You are the Lord my God.
19 For after I turned back, I (M)repented;
And after I was instructed, I [a](N)slapped my thigh;
I was (O)ashamed and also humiliated
Because I bore the shame of my youth.’
20 Is (P)Ephraim My dear son?
Is he a delightful child?
Indeed, as often as I have spoken against him,
I certainly still remember him;
Therefore My [b](Q)heart yearns for him;
I will certainly (R)have mercy on him,” declares the Lord.

21 “Set up roadmarks for yourself,
Place guideposts for yourself;
(S)Direct your [c]mind to the highway,
The way by which you went.
(T)Return, O virgin of Israel,
Return to these your cities.
22 How long will you waver,
You (U)rebellious daughter?
For the Lord has created a new thing on the earth:
A woman will shelter a man.”

23 This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: “Once again they will speak this word in the land of Judah and in its cities when I (V)restore their fortunes,

‘The Lord bless you, O (W)place of righteousness,
O (X)holy hill!’

24 Judah and all its cities will (Y)live together in it, the farmers and those who travel with flocks. 25 (Z)For I give plenty of water to the weary ones, and [d]refresh everyone who languishes.” 26 At this I (AA)awoke and looked, and my (AB)sleep had been pleasant to me.

Mark 10:46-52

Bartimaeus Receives His Sight

46 (A)Then they *came to Jericho. And later, (B)as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, a beggar who was blind named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus the (C)Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, (D)Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48 Many were sternly telling him to be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “(E)Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him here.” So they *called the man who was blind, saying to him, “(F)Take courage, stand up! He is calling for you.” 50 And throwing off his cloak, he jumped up and came to Jesus. 51 And replying to him, Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And the man who was blind said to Him, “[a](G)Rabboni, I want to regain my sight!” 52 And Jesus said to him, “Go; (H)your faith has [b]made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.
