Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
Yahweh Is My Shepherd
A Psalm of David.
23 Yahweh is my (A)shepherd,
I [a]shall (B)not want.
2 He makes me lie down in (C)green pastures;
He (D)leads me beside [b](E)quiet waters.
3 He (F)restores my soul;
He (G)guides me in the [c](H)paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Even though I (I)walk through the [d]valley of the shadow of death,
I (J)fear no [e]evil, for (K)You are with me;
Your (L)rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You (M)prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You [f]have (N)anointed my head with oil;
My (O)cup overflows.
6 [g]Surely (P)goodness and lovingkindness will [h]pursue me all the days of my life,
And I will [i](Q)dwell in the house of Yahweh [j]forever.
Israel Regathered
25 ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “When I (A)gather the house of Israel from the peoples, among whom they are scattered, and will manifest My holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they will (B)live in their [a]land which I gave to My servant Jacob. 26 They will (C)live in it securely; and they will (D)build houses, plant vineyards, and live securely when I (E)execute judgments upon all who scorn them all around them. Then they will know that I am Yahweh their God.”’”
29 And do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not (A)keep worrying. 30 For [a]all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek, but your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek His kingdom, and (B)these things will be added to you. 32 (C)Do not fear, (D)little flock, for (E)your Father is well pleased to give you the kingdom.
